On the day of the 1998 World Cup start the TV played the entire 1978 Scotland vs Holland World Cup game and Souness was unbelievable, passing balls left, right and centre like a Prosinecksi. Controlled the game. Yet in the 1982 World Cup we were screaming at the TV take him off. Souness said he ate something in Mexico and couldn’t play.
John Brown for me was better than Terry Butcher, at least in the partnership with Goughie. I love Souey, and would have him in the team too. But instead of Durrant, I'd include the player Graeme recommended to us, Tugay - the most complete midfielder I personally saw at Rangers. Coisty and Hateley our best strikeforce, but loved Mo too. My favourite ever player is Jorg Albertz - I'd have him ahead of Baxter 🔴⚪️🔵.

I don’t think people understand how incredible it is, that Graeme Souness makes an all time 11 for 2 teams. Souness, in an all time Liverpool 11, is the Captain, hands down. That’s how respected he is, as a Liverpool legend.

Was present at Baxters rerurn to Rangers (which was more of a publicity stunt for then Manager Davy White as I recall). A not so Slim Jim trots out to be greeted with warm applause and a few twitterings of laughter . It was plainly obvious Baxter was not fit in any shape or form, no pun intended, and the twitterings became outright laughter at some points...............until........... Baxter somewhat found his legs, and, rolling back the years, split the opposition defense with a sliderule pass to create a scoring chance. The crowd was hushed for a moment, appreciating the play followed by Ohhhhhh. The game continued to its conclusion with nothing but admiration for 'Slim Jim'. I don't remember who we played or the date, but I was there.
Can still Remember Davie Cooper in my Dad & Uncles Printing shop, in Hamilton, and at their club Hamilton Avondale. Quiet as a mouse - did all his talking on the field. Always liked to score from a corner kick and was lucky enough to see him do it on a few occasions, including his first goal at Ibrox against Clydebank, of all teams !!! Legends Live On...
we might not have had them at their peak but Gattuso won CL and World Cup, Gio captained in a WC final after scoring the winner in the semi-final. Cannigia was a legend, Numan was one of the best LBs in the world, Henderson was one of the best wingers in the world, Micheal Mols pre-injury was one of the best players I ever seen in a Rangers shirt and Marko Negri is one of the biggest what ifs we have ever had and wee Barry was outstanding. Klos deserves a mention for GK, he has been overshadowed by Greigsy and the Goalie but he was a World class Keeper. Big Dado was a personal fave, loved watching him play for us

Butcher had left before Goram arrived. I’d say it was more Goigh, McPherson, Brown etc that bailed Andy out more
