REEL COLLECTION! All about my fly reels and what they're for

- Today we'll do an update on my fly reel fleet, which is now the best it has ever been. Sure, I've always had capable reels, but I've also had decision paralysis when choosing which one to grab when I hit the water. Now, each fly reel has a very specific purpose.

Awesome collection. Keeping it real!!! 🤙
Lets see your bigger tarpon set up and bike set ups
🌴Hey amigo, you probably have more in vested in a couple of them big boy reels than I’ve got in all my rod and reel combos😆, as for the broken rods maybe you need to hook up with a sponsor that will let you field test their product 👈🏻😄 and you can put your personal favorites away in a safe place 🤔 you seemed hooked up with Cortland lines they might be a good backer , and they could custom build a rod for ya ? And you could give them feed back on its fish abilities, seeing your arsenal of reels , lines , ha, and unbroken rods 👈🏻😆 is always helpful, as for vids for content you always come up with good stuff , keep it coming, 👍🏼
Juicy arsenal of reels!
Loved seeing your reel collection, I'm a huge Nautilus fan but unfortunately I only have one so far being low on ammo to purchase more, ...yet. Great colours!!!
I have a CCFX2 8/10 in black/red/lime with a 9WT line, can't wait to hear it singing again...
It starts with one! haha You'll blink and end up with like 5 or 6.
Nice man!!
I’m a salted water fisher man by nature and just getting into fly fishing can you pls do a vid on proper set ups for like bone fish, permit, GT and basic salt water tropic fish. And I just love how your vids are straight forward but still educational
I have a video going over my Bonefish setup from last summer, if you go back about 20 or so videos you'll see it. I don't fish for GT's, but check out my video about louisiana redfish rod setup, thats what I use for giant jack crevalles when I am fishing in LA. That's the closest thing I've done to GT's. That video might be like 2 years old.
@@Eric.Estrada I saw the bone fish on, but also where do you get your gear from, but I’m not from the states
You should be able to order from Jd Outdoor Adventures in Miami, a lot of people from the carribean buy there.
The Caribbean, I’m from Seychelles 🇸🇨🇸🇨
Awesome!
I like tfo rod the warranty is killer I broke 3 rod tips last year and the most expensive warranty claim I had was 60 dollars to get a new rod the other 2 were like 38 and 42 I also broke a 10 yr old 10 wt that's dis continued and they gave me the original price as a credit towards a new rod so I'm getting a new 10wt blitz
That’s clutch
I am in love!!!! For now I’ll take my $150 reel and paint it to make it look snazzy 😂
I used to have a Reddington red.fly2 that was $60. I spray painted it. Caught all kinds of fish on that fly reel. Haha
@@Eric.Estrada just ordered my renegade…. But order white… thought grey was level 2 but guess it’s level one compared to white. Thanks for all your help.
Your reels gave me some ideas on colors ... looking forward to the video on the John Boat ... I think your Lime/Orange XM would look pretty cool on an Orvis Recon freshwater 5 wgt 8'6" model ... upgrade from the 5 wgt 8'6" model you have been using for years (Cabellas ?) ... I purchased a reel from JD Outdoors ... they are great.
I'm going to have to check out that Recon, looks pretty cool. haha I am stoked to drop this jon boat in the water, I have been on a lot of fish, the jon boat will open up much more water for them.
@@Eric.Estrada ... now that you have moved do you have any fly shops/Orvis dealers near you ?
@@flyfishing4therestofus007 Not sure if there are any Orvis dealers near me, but White's Tackle in Vero has a fly section, and there is a fly shop down in Jensen Beach that is new. Worldwide Fly works.
What brand rod/weight do you use for your XM EDC?
I'm using a white river Dogwood Canyon 8'6 5wt. It's discontinued but the rod is a beast!
C'mon Estrada, add a Tibor...
haha, never that.
@@Eric.Estrada Pshhhhh, Kristen and Jesus are great guys....love their gear - Live closer to Nautilus than I do Ted's place.....but that Tibor whine, boyyyy. Gotta be done. Atleast one brother.
Where can I get one of those hats?
I should have more inventory in like 45 days on my website.
Damn your hats are sold out!
You can check if they have any left at JD Outdoor Adventures down in Miami. They sell my apparel there.
impossible to get Nautilus reels in custom colors you want now .. takes not months but years and never just got my mahi able 7/8wt
There's an incredibly high demand, and Nautilus is a relatively small operation, all made in house from start to finish. They aren't outsourcing anything, so it can sometimes take a while for custom reels. If you buy from a dealer that has a lot of custom stuff on hand, you can get something fast. JD Outdoor Adventures in Miami always has a full inventory of custom color reels on the shelf.
@@Eric.Estrada yup you are right . small company and not much workers and they source most the stuff from usa .. thats the draw back but you get nice product not a mass made style bulks from overseas.. nothing wrong with overseas stuff its just not as high quality .. buy it once and your set for life just take care of the reels and should last you with no issues
