I always do 3 shot groups to get things roughed in and check for pressure. Then I shoot a 5 shot group to see if I need to fine tune anything and finally I confirm with a 10 shot group. If my data holds together through the whole process and depending on how much wiggle room I have in the node I normally just load up a huge stockpile with my dillion 550c for specific guns. I do a ton of thermal night hunts for hogs so I run through a lot of ammo. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

There is a metrics called average mean radius to center of impact. It a better measure then maximum center to center metric. In both 2 groups. You had 3 shots in the same hile. That is less than 0.1" apart. That says a lot for the accuracy of the load/rifle
Excellent shooting by the way. Impressive.

If you do a video of one bullet vs. Another, use the same powder. It's like apples and oranges when you run comparisons with different powders. You would get different results if you ran different powders wit the same bullets. In the end didn't learn anything.

I have loaded both these loads with about the same results. This is out of my browning ab3
I got better groups with 40.0 gr
    Loads velocity isn't always better

A different COAL might tighten those groups up. Good shooting!

Good groups just the same. Thank you.

I had very decent results with some IMR 4166 and the 140gr ELD-M with my 110 Tactical 6.5CM. End up with 0.34" 5-shot groups. Those 110's are very surprising rifles!

lots of people overlook h 4831 for 6.5 , my favorite is 42 grains very accurate

42.6grn Reloader 17 and Hornady 140bthp is shooting dime size 5 shot groups for me. About 2780fps

Still really good groups. I would take the bthp out to 400 yards or better. Really good shooting.

Why did you do this comparison? You started with a dirty rifle, changed bullets and powders. Recommend cleaning, keep the same powder when changing bullets

You're going to have to do seating depth test to dial them in now.

I struggled to get a good load using h4350. I ended up using the erik Cortina method, shooting under a chronograph then choosing the smallest sd. After playing with COAL I got it down to a 1/2" load. Imr 4350 has been a much more forgiving powder for me.

I tried both bullets with IMR 4064 and IMR 4350, got results so far out to only 200 yards.

Vertical means add more powder or use a hotter primer. I would bet my hat that you have a barrel full of copper. Teslong bore scope is the most valuable tool in your reloading equipment!

New to reloading and I’m wondering why you weren’t using the H4350 with both bullet types? Why add extra variables when trying to find what shoots best from your rifle? Just curious, like I said, I’m super new to reloading. Does one powder just simply work better with certain bullet designs?

H4350 would likely work excellent with both bullets. Just having fun experimenting with different powders. You will find reloading is just a fun adventure. Always trying new powder bullets etc!

Aaron as a general rule ball powders aren't as temp stable. Extruded is usually more stable.

You did have some good S.D’S , next time during your load development, try using the CBTO method instead of the COAL method. Your 5 shot groups will be just tight as your 3 shot groups.
