I'm going to buy GFX 100, but it's hard for me to decide which option of GF lens. One option is GF23, GF45, GF63, GF110, GF250. The other option is GF23, GF45, GF80/1.7(not published yet), GF120 MACRO, GF250.

The top 5 are excellent to start with. I'd probably end up scaling down to just primes and end up with those and the upcoming 80mm, which is sure to blow away the market if it is as good as people who've been testing it have quietly revealed! Anything in front of the 100 is going to be amazing, so you almost certainly can't go wrong. There's always dabbling with adapted glass too!

No. It should be the better all rounder the 50mm - equiv to the highly underrated 40mm in 35mm terms. It is a stunner - I use the GFX100 (non 's' although we have one on order for Jane - her hands are smaller) and we shoot 20-30 weddings a year - last year excepting for obvious reasons. This is the most used lens we have alongside its sisters the 30mm, 80mm, 110mm and 250 - and don't even think of going zoom unless you love blurry pics or use locked down in a studio. The beauty of the GFX is the capability to provide astonishing detail - even when significantly cropped - so give that sensor its best chance by using primes.

Hey. Can you comment on if the camera is very slow due to file sizes?

Slow as in media transfer? My experience is so far faster than most cameras for shot/card recording of images and videos. Nothing really jumps out and 5 fps is actually impressive for this beast!

How does the aperture work on medium format in terms of DOF? Is it the same as the focal length? Will the aperture be more similar to a f1.8 (or similar) on a full frame 35mm sensor?
    Thank you :)

The .79x crop factor will give you more depth of field!

For medium format which is not something you will take out every day its for Pro’s commercial work etc. having said that, I would have preferred something faster around f2.2 and heavier/bigger for heck sake its medium format I don’t care for light weight. Just prefer the beez kneez, cant wait for the 80mm.

When that 80mm is released, the extra speed will make it the best (and fastest) optical piece of GFX and likely all MF gear on the planet. Let's hope it delivers!

I have the 45mm which is better. enjoy!

this is not the sharpest lens unfortunately. stop speaking about versability for all the lens you describle. + this lens is noisy and a bit slow compare to others. better the 45... better to show the external motor autofocus.
