    Had been waiting for this! Looks Delish. Will be trying this soon. One query, all springform moulds which I bought leak for some reason. Does the parchment paper solve that ?

    • @Dohful

      No, that will be solved by wrapping the bottom of the springform with a aluminium foil.

    • @johnholder4208
      @johnholder4208 ปีที่แล้ว

      I make my crust rather thick, and don't go up the sides, this allows the bottom to be completely sealed so there's no batter leak out. I don't use a water bath either, instead I put my form on a biscuit rack on top of a jelly roll pan.
      I then reduce my heat by about 8 degrees Celsius, and turn the oven off after 1 hour without opening the door until it's completely cooled.

    Hello.. instead of heavy cream can I use non diary whipping cream.. and how to make it in normal cake pan as I don't have spring form cake pan..

    • @Dohful
      @Dohful  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can use the non dairy cream. Also you'd need a removable base pan for this one as it would be pretty tricky taking the Cheesecake out otherwise.

    • @Dohful
      @Dohful  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Individually as in, small bite sized cheesecakes? Yes of course! It would like half the time. About 20 minutes I would say but start checking at around 16-17 min.

    Hi..Thanks for sharing !...had a query....Can the cheesecake be baked without the water bath technique ? What are the alternatives ? Also do we need the preheat the oven ?

    • @Dohful
      @Dohful  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, the water bath is actually a must for the cheesecake to not dry out in the oven. Dry cheesecakes tend to crack and get really dense on cooling down. However if for some reason its not possible to use a water bath, keep a bowl of water in the oven below the cheesecake as it bakes. That should work as well.
      Yes, pre-heating is needed for a even and proper baking.

    • @tiashamondal
      @tiashamondal 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dohful thanks a lot 👍I bake in a normal microwave using convection, not Otg. So do u suggest me to just keep a bowl of water under the cheesecake baking pan ?

    • @Dohful
      @Dohful  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that would be correct. Just make sure there is enough water to last the 40 min bake time. And do not open the door while its baking or resting.

    • @Dohful
      @Dohful  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      6 inch cake tin also works perfectly in this recipe. Mine is 7 inch. Your cheesecake would just be slightly taller which is never a bad thing!
      While baking, both rods should be on and only bake in a water bath.
