When you like it ...BEFORE you play...bcs you've Always Loved Runrig ...Pure Bliss I'm Hame I've lived in England for 52 of my 59 years... Bonnie Scotland & Runrig is in my Heart & Soul. 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
Man, this is the second old favourite today that I never realised there was a full Bruce version of outside of crowd recordings. Don't get me wrong, the original version is magic but it's always nice to have both.
@@olivermeyer2975 Agreed - he's up there with the greatest of all time. Those moments where his head goes back and his eyes close, the music's straight from his soul to your ears. It's so sad how few people will ever get to really hear him (outside of his work on the original Loch Lomond recording, obviously). Mark Knopfler is my gold standard (although of course David Gilmour and Bryan May are up there) and, while he's stylistically very different, their... philosophy, I guess, is very similar. Make the music shine. Show off your prodigious skill only when that's what's best for the song.
And a massive thank you to Germany for taking them to your hearts. I'm not sure they would ever have produced some of their brilliant later albums without the massive support they've had from mainland Europe. (Sorry, I wanted to write this in German but my German is... not great these days.)
@@berndneumann2141 Oh, wow, they mentioned Loreley in the extra lyrics of Book of Golden Stories when they got back to the UK. "The songs we’ve sung, the miles we’ve travelled, from Loreley to Stirling Castle, I’ll remember." What an awesome little detail.
What an utterly moronic comment. People get older. So what? It is a fact of life. If the band can pull in the crowds to listen to their music as Runrig obviously can, then that is excellent. You do not stop writing and playing music because you turn thirty five
I have ALL their CDs and they are surely the BEST band ever. Their music is Scotland at its best and they will be in my heart forever
Aaww, I wish this amazing band would do us all a favour and reunite. I miss them ❤❤❤
RUNRIG ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD...45 YEARS OF JOY
I am glad we had them ,Made so many people Happy
How I miss theese concerts
Remember this might well. My first tome seeing them live. Best Scottish band ever.
Nah😢

They are (Were) unique
And very good at it.
Thank goodness I watched the early days and have some CD's to remind me.
Runrig, "Thank You".
Runrig forever the Best.💝💝💝
Love this version. Bruce being scrumptious silly. ❤️

My ideal-RUNRIG. IN SCOTLAND. AT A CASTLE. And a fantastic song! Grooving along here... MALCOLM IS UNBELIEVABLY GOOD WITH THAT GUITAR. 😆
He's the best guitarist I ever saw in my live: He made the guitar "speak". At least same level as David Guilmor or Bryan May.
9 "people" disliking?!!!!!!! Hard to believe this!
@@olivermeyer2975 I couldn't agree more.
@@maryryan1278 10 people that are deaf or dont like musc. Runrig are the best band ever, 45 years says it all.

Only ever seen them live once, but one fantastic band, they are right up there with the best
Me too only ever saw them the once. Hoped to see them again but it didn't happen because they retired.
Fantastic way to remember a truly wonderful evening!

Ich bin absolut deiner Meinung. Ich habe RUNRIG 3mal live gesehen und das war der Hammer.

Congratulations on posting the daftest comment on TH-cam.
Eh, the OP will get old, too....His shallowness will make him miserable then.
