Malcolm Jones is one of the greatest guitarists in the world! He deserves far more recognition. I had the pleasure of meeting him on an Edinburgh bus many years ago and he's so cool and chill.
Only lasted 2 seconds watching this... Then lump in throat. tears . ., You made us PROUD thanks.,BRUCE never forgotten. always will play this.. Thanks to you. God Bless you..
This song is like joy itself rendered into audio form. Love how Bruce just wanders over and you can see him mouth "Locomotion" to Malcolm and he just says OK and rolls with it with a laugh. Absolute pros, sorely missed, but their legacy will stand forever.
A great song! One of those for Malcolm Jones! He is underrated, one of the greatest musicians. This song is one of most! Great playing! Best regards from Germany, from the town of swords and blades.!!!!
I was there at Inverness and I travelled from Manchester Via Edinburgh and besides getting lost in Edinburgh it was one of the most exciting experiences of my life.🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🎸🎸🎸🎸🏴🏴🏴
Should have been there, would have been there. First gig missed and oh what a gig to miss. Thank goodness for the DVD as the energy is transmitted, down the wire and across the mighty Atlantic. It crosses every river, climbs every hill, and is alive every may morning. Runrig beat the drum, are the pride of the summer and ARE ALBA. They are the modern Ard Righ Albann. Long may they rule.
It needs to be said repeatedly until it is acknowledged,. Malcolm Jones is up there with Clapton, Page, Blackmore, van Halen, Prince, Django and Glen Campbell.
Been a fan for many moons,Donnie Munro fantastic,Gaelic must survive,Bruce Guthrie RIP 😇,Runrig please do a one of Concert for Bruce,be a sell out,I’d certainly come as would all Runrig fans 😁
And you can't feel Bruce's belief in the songs? That's a question, not a statement. According to Rory at the 30th anniversary concert they wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Bruce.
Donnie left in 1997 initially to pursue politics. Bruce Guthro replaced him in 1998. Donnie still tours solo. I was at this gig (above). If you look at other songs on youtube from this event you will see Donnie and former keyboard Pete Wishart (now an MSP) join them on stage.

Easily Bruce's best song. How I miss Donnie though,he had so much more energy and you could feel his belief in the songs.
And you can't feel Bruce's belief in the songs? That's a question, not a statement. According to Rory at the 30th anniversary concert they wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Bruce.
@@astrase2 agree with you
Better the keys rather than the guitar doing the big tune. . .not the right sound on the guitar
I think Malcolm Jones has lost the plot with his recent over intrusiveness
?

Exactly. You can never have enough of our Malcolm, one of the, if not the, greatest multi-instrumental musicians of all time.
Who is that bloody "singer"? That's not Runrig :(
That's Bruce Guthro, he's been the lead singer in Runrig for 18 years now and this song was on the first album he performed with them.
When did Donnie ever sing this song Donald?
