Question about 2:18 mark: When you say "two times" you mean let it go on, take your foot off the gas pedal, wait until it turns off, and then repeat until it goes on again? Also, how do you know if the fan is on or not if you're doing this by yourself?
Hey Josh, I find that taking the vehicle out on a short drive (approximately ~10 mins) will allow the temperatures to get up to operating temperatures and cause the thermostat to open and the fans to activate. As long as you have hot air blowing into the cabin and the temperature needle is not deviating too far from normal operating temperature. Then the job is pretty much finished.
do you flush out the old coolant before adding a new different coolant?
