Warrens dad really screwed him over by making the doctor surgically remove his wings while he was unconscious. That scene was heart breaking, the VA did a great job capturing the despair in Warren's voice
Yea it made me want to beat the fuck outta his dumbass dad why did he not love his son's wings they were awesome I bet he would love to have wings too even I would love to have wings so I don't have to worry about getting my license and a car or paying for an Uber I can just fly to wherever I want.
Yea they should really give Angel some badass fight scenes let him utilize his wings in a fight and maybe perform some martial art skills with them or maybe even fly through a Sentinels head.
He's underrated by ignorant people. His powers essentially make him Captain America level with wings. Said wings, mind you, can easily kill a human in a one strike, as stated in comics. As a street level hero he is pretty good. However when in the company of Omega mutants his base form seems underpowered. His Archangel persona is more powerful and brutal. I personally also like when he's given light energy powers. Not that long ago he was given cosmic powers and could fire energy blasts and fly beyond lightspeed.
Yeah. Hopefully they wouldn't make him forgive his dad right away though. Like yeah lose the desire to kill him, but keep some resentment for awhile until they could've have a story to have the dad redeem himself too
I kinda liked angel and storm being together in this show. It’s a lil different to what I’ve seen from xmen stuff but they seem right together idk. They should explore this in the movies if the actors end up being close in age. But only if they make their relationship the way it was in the show bc if they explored it the way they did here. I think people would love it. Unless they’re racist obv but we’re not here for that
he can do ALL of that..... angel in all the cartoons and movies is just not written well AT ALL; example here when he dive-bombs his eyes are closed and straining..... in the comics Warrens eyes are also mutated to withstand air pressure and also give him telescopic vision. His bones are light but dense so even before he becomes archangel he has a decent amount of strength over a well built man. His feathers before his wings were removed could detect changes in air currents so he almost has a spidey sense and on top of that he has been training with the X-Men in close quarter flying for literal decades so even in small room he can fly omnidirectional with scary agility and precision. Even has a healing factor and though it's not as intense as Wolverine's he can heal from fatal injuries and *broken/fractured bones* in a couple hours/a day or so and if he shares his blood he can heal others.... which makes his fathers choice to COMPLETELY remove his son's wings all the more cruel... His wings would've "miraculously" healed along with the rest of him :c the movie X3 touched on his healing factor briefly in his introduction as a kid. It's why his wings started to grow back almost immediately after cutting them off and eventually DID grow back
@@code066funkinbird3 depends. pre-transformation into Archangel id say it leans more towards Hawks... Archangel literally GAINS Hawks power word for word once he changes only his feathers are.... metal
People calling him useless clearly has no clue about his powers. He can do more than just fly. He has increased strength and durability, a healing factor, enhanced physiology, and multiple other things he can do.
Not only he can fly. He has a stronger physiology to adapt and move around freely on high altitude which has lesser air the higher you go, much like a bird.
Even if flying was all he could do it’s not like any other mutant can fly as well as him. He is one of the fastest and most manuverable of all flying marvel characters, and archangel boosts that to a massive degree
self harm/body Mutilation/ his war for acceptance and ultimate path to make a deal with the devil just to be able to touch the clouds again...its an emotional story arc, fuck yeah, but the heavy themes and subject matter is honestly what makes the character relatable. So many xmen characters represent different walks of marginalized and scrutinized walks of life. I'm sure there are lots of ppl with with either physical disabilities or maybe have to wear something that stands out as a part of their culture that can find a lot of common ground with characters like Warren, Bishop, Storm, Nightcrawler etc. and feel seen and validation seeing these characters go through similar trials and tribulations

Archangel is my favorite X-Men character and Warren Worthington the 3rd is underrated AF
Angel really needs to be given special powers like feather darts, gust storm, wing enlargement or something to fight with. lol

Probably because there was only one episode where it introduce the idea, but due to the series cancelation, it never got explored in depth.
