Good to know not only me couldn’t get a bite on paste recently. Every venue I’ve been lately has fished terribly in matches. (Any theories on why this is?!?!).

Think the fish are really struggling and are stuck in limbo having not had chance to complete spawning. We need some warm weather or these fisheries could have issues with the fish. Tough time of year for fisheries at the moment

You the man Joe, going by your winter paste, the way you keep it and catch. Freeze is a plus and for it. I’m going to mix some up tomorrow but not fishing till 13th July 😱👍

Great video as always Joe , for my favourite paste that has won me a good few matches I use marine halibut groundbait for my mix , two thirds groundbait one third gluten, and equal amount of water , mixed the day before match and froze, when it’s defrosted it is a lot more stringier and perfect, so yes you can freeze your paste 👍

I haven’t used green swim stim for years as my paste really. I borrowed a bag for filming last week as I forgot my bait 😂 I’d happily use it though

Hi Jo. I've frozen paste many years ago Fins 1 2 1 fiber paste, went proper manky, but caught on it
I freeze mine all the time and have never had an issue. However I do mix mine with the gluten as you do joe.

I was barbel fishing on the trent and hadn't had a bite I was sorting through my bag and found some very moldy meat so tryed a piece on the hook. Ended up with 3 barbel on it
There’s definitely something in it. I always find manky dead maggots better than freshly frozen dead maggots for carp too

Many years ago before you could buy paste mixes l used to make up big batches. Enough for 10 matches and split it and freeze it. Won more than enough matches to be happy to use defrosted paste.

Hi Joe, can you tell me how you prepare your hemp for fishing with paste? Do you soak them cook it or just soak it I seem to recall you saying that you had a bucket of hemp that was stinking lol. TIA

Kept telling you to freeze it joe, I use gram flour to bind it and I've not noticed any sour smell when it's defrosted.

Always freeze my left over paste, not had any problems with it
Joe I find you refreeze paste up to 3 times, but after this it does go musty or stale.
Can you or have you ever mixed spices into your paste? I mite try and do so next time I go fishing.
I haven’t, I have used salt though and I know some add sugar. The beauty of paste is your imagination is the only limit on what you can try!

I use frozen paste I mix it in with fresh on the day the fish dont seam to be able to tell the difference and I mix mine the night before

I freeze everything I have left. No problems at all.

Golf ball I’d say on average sometimes bigger
