    A final weigh-in for all after the match plus [for info only] half hourly weigh-ins. Scales used only by approved, capable people.

    What fisho should do, is give all of the bankrunners clickers, which every 30mins get zoomed in on! Because the excitement is still there, but then there is not controversy, with one bigger weigh in at the end

    Its gone from being a main event on sky sporgs at Cudmore, with a top class studio, an enormous tackle and demo setup, Keith Aurthor et etc to comantators standing on the bank. If you weren't there, it was terrible viewing on Sky.

    It's simple keep the weigh ins as they are, have them as estimate weights, and have a proper official weigh in at the end of the match like all normal matches have. Simple.

    Great catch up lads, the only bit I don't like about the weigh-ins is the fact it's all in Kilo's rather than Lb's, as although that's what people know now I stll prefer Lb's and Ounces.

    Jamie is 100% right with what he said about digital scales in my opinion. My pb barbel had to nbe weighed twice because of it going mad and scales locking on a weight. Once it had calmed down there was a fair discrepency in the weights. Still was a pb but cant be sure how much by.

    Dail scales all the way, calibrate 4 sets of quality Reuben Eaton scales .
    Digital scales are not the one.

    Why don’t the weigh bags have a strong mesh bottom so the water is not as much of an issue?

    Dial scales (professionally calibrated) and each anglers bank runner signs at each half hour weigh in, winner declared based on total of 10 weigh ins. If the farcical re weigh had delivered a different result I think Sky would have called it a day with future coverage (they may well anyway). We could have even ended up with legal challenges etc!

  • @robshaw3655

    can someone explain how they do the weigh ins. Is each weigh in the total of all the fish they have caught or just what they catch between weigh ins. Wondered how they could do a reweigh does everyone keep their fish in the net even after they have been weighed in?

  • @yeoo5106
    @yeoo5106 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Each peg should have a paddling pool / holding pool behind it and every half hour the keep net of fish should be put into the holding pool until the end of the match then do 1 way in

    I like the idea of the clicker but will Sky? Analogue scales are the way ahead but on the issue of different scales per section, just rotate the scales around the sections for every 30 minute weigh in... simples!

  • @ClarkNeville

    why not do it like thy do in the USA for bass fishing competitions a tank of water the scales are set to zero then the fish are added into the water much easier and a better accurate weight. lov e the podcasts and catchups.

    They need to use Kern digital scales used for weighing moving livestock,nothing better expensive yes but using £60 scales just don’t cut it on such a high profile match.

    I think rather than have the half hourly weigh in, we should have what us match anglers do...... click and guessing. Ask each anglerwhat they have clicked each hour, then we have lots of different excitement points... has he clicked right? Who is the actual winner.

  • @mrb6089

    Fish o is getting worse every year. Match fishing flagship event and sky coverage focused more to non anglers who might watch for 5 mins once a year. It's a tough watch for someone who loves angling.

    I use the same digital scales when fishing and weighing Carp 40lb+. They settle down and settle on an exact weight. Hourly would be rubbish. This Fisho was terrible with the ending, made m3 dislike match fishing weigh ins even more

  • @bigdav47
    @bigdav47 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Well, as it stands, and with the lack of accuracy with the 30 minute weigh in....for various reasons,having somebody monitoring each peg with a clicker would be just as accurate, and less hassle if you have the weigh in that counts at the end! Viwers could get a rough idea who is ahead. Sounds daft, but it's true! There were a lot of anglers who finished very close on weight, why weren't all the anglers re weighed? Somebody might have been denied a section win by the frankly crap weighing in and those digital scales. Match this has an even bigger prize on offer, but they have one weigh in. I think it's also time that Fisho went on a rota of venues big enough to host it. Different venues giving variety of methods would be nice, I'm not suggesting canals or rivers in this, just commercials...shre the travelling for spectators out.

    Personality that match is everything wrong with the modern world there should simply be a weight in at the end like ALL other matches so the anglers get to fish bleedin stupid match and I'm not the only one who thinks that

    I dont understand why Sky uses presenters who have no idea about fishing. Andy and the bulldog would have been much more entertaining to watch.
