A big 10XD crankbait rod works really well with Glidebaits. Some flex in the tip helps the action when you want to fish it like a jerkbait and keep a fish pinned without tearing the trebles out.

did you ignore the parts on the different parts of the retrieves, or the gear to use, or when most of the bites occur, or to face away from the sun?
I'm only 5 years late with my comment but this is a dammed good video with some good tips. Especially about the sun and predator behavior
