I always wanted a salmon dial but for one reason or another was never able to purchase one. I purchased the new Zelos Comet with the salmon dial but after seeing this, that one is going up for sale as I just purchased the Montblanc. Looking forward to receiving and wearing.
I feel like no one talks about Montblanc’s watches because they’re “a pen company,” but this is a beautiful watch. If it were 38 or even 39mm I’d be a bit more likely to buy it.
I picked up the GMT heritage with the salmon dial. Was actually wearing it today, so your vid is timely. Amazing dial details and an awesome watch overall. With MB rolling in Minerva, they have a lot of history they can draw from. This line is a remake of an old Minerva model..nearly an identical design.
I just picked up Merkur's new salmon dial on AliExpress. 38mm x 46mm, mineral glass, handwinding, well finished for 90USD. An affordable alternative for the budget minded.
Have the same watch in my collection and superb. Well reviewed and presented. Also have a Geosphere 1858, great complicated unique movements. Hour hand is like a True GMT.
A very nice piece. I'd like to see it a bit smaller though. Nice pen. I also have the Starwalker and prefer the rollerball refill. Montblanc obviously do wonderful fountain pens. However, if you want a great pen but does not have the obvious prestige like a Montblanc, I recommend a Pilot 823 or Pilot 845. Wonderful writers especially if you like a finer line. (Japanese nib sizes are different to western sizes - a western fine is like a Japanese medium.)
Really nice detail on the dial and price lower than what I would have guessed for this brand. Still, would never occur to me to ever consider buying a MB watch.
Thanks for sharing. I assume the weight of 73 grams is with the strap? I am downgrading from a 83 gram watch and unfortunately the local dealer doesn't have this to try on.
See if you can get the montblanc geosphere and also their new gmt and dive watches. I think you would be impressed by them and would show more people what the brand offers.
Rob, huge fan of the channel and great review. I've been a Montblanc fanboy for over 30 years collecting their pens, and I do have a timepiece as well and it is wonderful. If you are truly interested in a pen let me know and I can get what you want at a very fair price. I'm quite close to your state of Michigan! :)
Montblanc or the OWNER of Montblanc baught the MINERVA Watchmanufacture. These Watches from this Company are still the best what Suisse Watch Makers can offer. For that Price it is a Bargain.....really a Bargain.

By thw way, for the Heritiage GMT Salmon dial, is this strap GENIUNE Croc? or Croc embossed calf? Send the watch I just sold - might separated it incase stuck at custom.
I ordered a brand new one few months ago and returned it due to a scratch on a dial. I find the salmon / pink colour disappointing and bland. It disappears on the wrist. Glad I checked it out but definitely not a keeper. Thanks for the review.
Don't buy from ebay sellers in Italy. I just got one new and it arrived with a damaged movement. My buddy ordered a Montblanc from an Italian dealer as well and got a broken watch.

I don't think it's a Minerva caliber. The MB 25. 05 is an ETA based

I just picked up a used MB Nicolas Rieussec momopusher chronograph. MB has some amazing horological capabilities that are not well known.

The 500 hours test seems to be a poor imitation of JLC's 1000 hour testing on their Master series watches.
