The names of the engines For the Mack Trucks are The Mack Defense's in game, but I believe they are just a placeholder. A small correction (potentialy) would be that the Pinnacle has the 362K torque and the Terra Pro has 200K. The files and the names of the engines IN game are rather confusing, but this should all be clearer by Feb 11th when these trucks come out. God Bless!
the pts release of season 15 is available only for streamers? on my pts the new region has a lock on it and i can't go on it
The need to adjust that then (Elite Master Mack Tech here) The TEs can take the same engines as the PIs. Be interesting for them to implement the Allisons, and Mdrives with or without crawler gears. The neat thing about Macks if they are built with Mack rears in those applications they would have a power divider that works all the time for front to rear drive axle lock more like a limited slip. With the ability to lock the front and rear together and then the carriers together. When it comes to offroad capabilities Macks are HARD to beat without a more specialized truck.
I'm so glad they added the double log carry Dolly trailers. I told them about 6 months ago that we needed them on their official idea forum and I even sent him a video of them in use in real life so they would have something to go off of and I'm surprised that they actually listened.
Reversing that double log trailer would be nightmare☠️
Need some kind of hitch lock or whatever the name is to prevent swaying sideways
intresting thing that modded double slot logging trailers can be loaded only in auto mod, if you unpack cargo or manual place 6 logs and try to pack it there would be only one packed cargo, second pack would be removed. I wander, does they fix it and what be with mods
YES Mack trucks, as someone who has enjoyed the GMC 9500 before the awd upgrade that came with season one and someone who regularly uses the P512, the W990, the transtar, and the P16, awd is not a deal breaker for me and I am super pumped to get more north American workhorses in snowrunner the c500 is really good and it's a great back up plan for a north American fleet but I love the challenge of lesser trucks. I'm personally very excited
It’s nice to see more Vintage looking trucks being added.
I was so hyped for the Mack pack.... Now I cry
The Mack's need AWD. As long as the devs keep making maps as difficult as they are, AWD is a bare mechanical minimum, and the option is just as necessary as the winch. There are too many points in the game where AWD is just needed to overcome general levels of coded mud/sinkage, regardless of whether or not there is "cheat level" coded tires. If need be, nerf the power of the trucks and then give them AWD. Non-AWD trucks just sit in the garages of most players and are never used. There may have been an early meta-attempt with map design to make road trucks/non-awd trucks useful, but with the general off-road heavy route design in more maps it's clear they aren't going that route. Also, if they are expecting players to transfer cargo from an awd truck to a non-awd truck at certain parts of the overall planned route, I think the dev's expectations are off. With the tediousness of changing cargo, players are not 'transferring' cargo from road to non-road trucks. If they start to design road heavy maps with time limit road only hauling, fast non awd trucks may have relevance. But as long as they keep designing maps as off-road maps, non-awd trucks are really just not fun to play at all. For diehard players who like non-awd trucks "for challenge", I have to ask how much you are using a winch. Because essentially, with non-awd trucks, you power, hit a specific rise/bump in snow/mud that raises the drive wheels and cuts all traction, get stuck, winch, power, drive, get stuck again, winch and repeat; it's not a matter of technique, it's a matter of coding. As mentioned, even with "cheat coded" tires, the trucks still get halted because there is no drive/grip to the front tires; it's just not fun. After nearly 500 or so hours, and playing many later DLC and pass maps, I have found that not having AWD isn't more challenging, it simply locks a truck out of the fun parts of the game. If you play the game long enough, you realize the true challenge of snowrunner is in maintaining balance not tipping. Not being able to grip through basic mud levels due to a lack of AWD is a misalignment of truck design and actual map realities. I know this may be more of a "feel thing", but I am curious if the devs actually try to play the maps they design with non-awd trucks. Also, this is heartbreaking to many who like the look of American trucks, because not having AWD basically is a slap to the face, as it locks these great American trucks out of basic play.
Overall, non-AWD trucks are not fun as map development has evolved. For the first original game maps? Maybe. But all of the later DLC and season maps? Not really. It's the same game design creep that occurred with scouts.
Agreed I’m relatively new but the only truck I use that doesn’t have awd is the p16 even then the struggles are noticeable
I do agree with the fact that every truck has to have AWD even if the w990 preforms the best with only rwd you can’t go back country with rwd especially rock crawling and mud.
We dont need anymore truck nerfs. The P12 and Kenworth can barely go up hills as it is. Actually they nerfed the P12 to shit in general so that ones just wrote off now anyway.
As someone who uses those non-AWD trucks I still agree with you. It wouldn't break them, it would just make them more usable.
Cut the throttle in sections where you are getting stuck. If you see a mud or snow section, use your momentum and gentle applications of throttle. Do not use high gear in these sections. Some winching will still be required. I have a lot of time with trucks in the game, and it's my job irl.
I'll add that there are maps these trucks are useless, but that is realistic.
I like that add-on with the tanker and logging crane. Adds some interesting versatility to handle fuel logistics to pair with logging trucks that can't run the logging crane.
That log trailer and a frame addon capability means we are probably going to be delivering a lot of logs in the next maps.
Which is gonna suck so much, then again it's better than carrying about 7 tanks of water to one singular place when there's 9 of them so imma take it.
You say that as if we didn’t have tons of logs to transport anyway….
And just like that I have season 15 hype! 2 new trucks with some really useful features and 3 trailers to match, one of them being an official B-train double which I am really excited for and I know mod makers will be too. Mack trucks need all wheel drive before I get too excited for them but I suspect that will either be added when they release or with season 15 is not on release. Standalone often miss the mark on release but come into their own with the next update.
The cabover and the old conventional cab trucks will lilely become my favorite trucks of year 4
I am SO STOKED for those logging trailers. I've been hungry for saddle hitch log trailers since i got the game two years ago. I grew up in the passenger seat of a log hauler, and i've only ever seen saddle hitch trailers and the bumper hitch dolly trailer they use for the long logs in game. This will make logging jobs so much less painful in the game now
No AWD is absolutely ludicrous. Takes the Mack pack from must have, to no go. Shame.
this season is looking hella fun not only for the new stuff but making the old game stuff less grindy or cheaty with all the new trailers. whether that be by now being able to cut out a fuel stop or not need to do the sideboard bed log trick as often. a+ update
By looking at this, I can say that it's the best season so far
No AWD for either Mack truck? That's a hard sell even for a die hard snow runner player. Season 15 trucks and new trailers are super exciting tho. Maybe now I could actually finish Amur. (my personal nemesis map)
This game + Star trucker is everything we need to get our Trucking fix on
1:00 The file you read must be wrong. It does not have 362K power. The same engine is in the Mack defense m817 and it has 232K power.
No truck in the game has over 288K power. As far as i know there is not any thrucks in the game with the same engine (acording to its name ingame) but diffrent power values.
That Mercer truck is absolutely lovely. Probably my favourite of all the new trucks. And it's about time Saber gave us well-designed, useful trailers. Thanks for the overview, Nathan! Cheers - //Rick
Pretty cool you can have the crane with some odd combinations I like to use weird stuff like that so I don’t have to drive out another truck lol. Thank for all the info Nathan! I have tried it with mediums and smalls. Mediums works and smalls did not for the double log hauler.
Ahh so it’s not a dual purpose trailer then. I appreciate that info good sir!
Yes I tried on stream again today at the log station and I can confirm only mediums worked. neither long or short worked as of now on pts. But that could change for anyone else who reads this.
I can see that new 3 slot semi trailer being really good for the Zikz 5368
they will perform really good with ohd and awd . I don't think anyone would buy these trucks without awd
Yes! Finally modded add-ons and trailers are getting officially into the game :)
Really like the mercer, wish they added more vintage trucks
One thing i want to see is an old trailer
You know that saddle high fuel trailer that you have to deliver on the first map, why was that not available later, love the look of that thing.
I'm convinced that they just don't like US trucks. They have to know at this point that RWD only trucks significantly hurt the reviews of their DLCs. This is another situation where the manufacturer offers AWD (this time its the TerraPro and its through Mack Defense) and they choose not to. And such weird balancing too. Why so much power when it has standard tires and RWD?
It's infuriating for sure
Trucks with AWD + Diff lock all the time? WRONG. Super heavies? WRONG. Scouts? WRONG. Tractors? WRONG. Non-AWD trucks? WRONG. Please, come on... no matter what vehicle Saber introduces to Snowrunner, community always treat is as, well, WRONG. And it happens since I remember...
@@VCN01while that is true, almost all of the American truck dlcs never have AWD or the trucks that don't always have useful addons and just can't be used because they struggle, unless they have custom tires
Awesome ! Thanks for showing the new trucks and trailers
I'm also wondering what updates Saber will do to the Kenworth pack.
I agree with the comment that the macks need and and I think they need to add awd to the kenworth as well
wait, we getting a double slot logging trailer? are they finally fixing the repackaing log bug?
I hope that’s a 3 slot semi. I would love one of those for some of the tighter roads
Trailers with fuel/repair parts I could see being a new meta thing. Definitely nice considering how many dedicated tractor unit type trucks we've gotten
Something they should add to the trailers that have the rotating wheels up front, is a rotation locker because those things are annoying to reverse with and this is a real life thing so extra reason to add it
Finally a b-double tone step closer to road trains. Where we can pull a/b doubles
I love what season 15 looks like. New trucks and trailers and add-ons all look awesome. But the Mack Dual Pack? Who decided those were going to be the specs for those trucks? They're going to be in the same boat as the T880, all the power and no way to use it. It's infuriating
@@TimostrategyGaming if the trucks are licensed from Mack then it could be why they dont have AWD or are the way they are. The license agreement most likely contain some rules or guidelines the devs must follow to have the license
that's news I like to hear!
11:35 more more more we want more
they heading in the right direction
Very cool to see some good new trailers! Hopefully they'll be available in all regions. Those fuel tanks on the trailer look huge for such a small amount of fuel though.
I wonder if the crane on the MFK816 is meant to store facing forward instead of rearward. Looks like it could conflict with some trailers.
Those add-ons and trailers really do look like mods. So hyped for the log trailer cause I was using a mod like this. 🙏🏼
this must be a joke... game keeps getting harder and devs makin no awd dlc trucks. that must be a joke. we want capable 6x6 trucks
Don't say me, that you are surprised 😂
Man, dev's are russians and they make only their own trucks and old soviet trucks better than another trucks in the game 😂
Not American trucks
There hasn't been a hard region since Maine.
Finally some new trailers
Hey! Will you give us an updated map difficulty tier list? Cant wait to hear your toughts on the new season maps.
Tier list comes after every 4th season (year pass). Currently we still have another season after 15 (season 16) before I create a tierlist. I also need a good amount of time to look at these maps and play them
@ Thanks for replying!
@CusterPlays Anytime! I would push them out more frequently but IF I did. I feel a lot of the same things would be said just with different phrasing. I want to avoid that and not make them all the same
Cant wait to use the big truck!!
Step deck trailers with built in fuel and repair points are 3 years late to replace my emotional support loaf. ;)
Cool can't wait to drive them in 2 months
10:00 wooooow, finally... :D
love both the s15 trucks and trailers looks great too
I was hoping for a long log trailer, that you can switch between trucks without unpack all logs.
Another way to transport medium or short, yeah it's nice, but not really needed imo.
The new log trailer is fine and all, but I wish they would just make a standard 5th wheel without the dolly or any other pivot points. Or at least a trailer that accepts both short and medium logs that isn't the Futom.
I actually liked using rwd trucks in both Michigan and Alaska when I could, they can be really fun. For example the international can actually make it through some mud pits with cargo because it's such a light truck. That said with the maps being designed they way they are, lots of unnecessary and difficult mudpits, I don't use rwd truck much anymore. I actually liked the north Carolina dlc because much of it was dry and you could plan around some of the mud sections, so you could use many different trucks depending on your job and route. Lots of the maps are just a slogfest through the mud and it's annoying. I think map design is a bigger general problem than truck specs.
All this has me stoked to pick up my controller again!
im stuck between if i should buy mack pack, season 15 or the new game roadcraft
Perfect two mack trucks with no AWD
Are the
custom tires that come on the new kenworths the same weight as OHD I-III...or are they the same weight as medium UOD/OMD
They are all 200kg (OHD JaT OHD) to my knowledge. Usually if a truck can equip an OHD. That vehicles custom tires normally are 200kg or similar weight
@NProvince I'm still confused. So UOD/OMD tires are the same weight as OHDs....regardless if a particular truck has the option to equip OHDs? For some reason I always thought that UOD/OMDs were less weight.
For example when a heavier set truck regardless of class, is equipped with UOD/OMD tires, it seems like it's own suspension wants to break/snap. But when you change it over to OHDs the trucks suspension seems to handle its own weight alot better without its suspension bugging and looking like it wants to collapse on itself.
@ OHDs are heavier than OMD or UOD yes. I can explain this better live if you’d like. There is such a thing called rear mass scale that stiffens suspension with doubles. OMD/ UOD are 100kg but in the rear they are 200 because they are doubles. OHDs are 200kg but in the rear are 400kg. And they do make the suspension stiffer as well.
@@NProvince I understand now. So what I was missing was the difference in weight between the front and rear...my mistake was thinking the front and rear mass were equal. This explains why heavier trucks front axle/suspension bug out and buckle when UOD/OMD are selected, because the fronts are 100kg instead of 200kg...and once you switch over to OHD the front changes to 200kg which then better supports the weight of front axle & suspension.
There are few trucks that have this problem, but especially the WS 49X & Boar.
Thanks Nate, I got it now.
Great looking Mack’s but no awd and that awkward saddle position is the only downside
If the mack trucks don't have AWD I'm not spending my money on trucks I can't use in deep mud or deep snow which is 80% of the game.
Yeah...the Mack pack is definitely a hard pass for me too until modders throw on AWD! Thank you PC Lol
That tilt deck looks like POG's dragoon trailer, I think that's it
When is the pack going to be available for pure chase?
Feb 11
@@Mark-wrecken too late, what if I die by then? They should release it now, in at most 2 hours.
At last some decent in game trailers looking forward to season 15 🤔👍
No awd no purchase unfortunately. Imo in snowrunner awd is a essential, this is why I use mods
Oh my goodness. I knew about all the trucks and trailers EXCEPT THE MACK PINNACLE. Now I am really excited. As long as they keep putting licensed American trucks in this game, they can just go ahead and have my money.
Hey Nate, or anyone else that knows, How do I try out the new vehicles on the PTS? When I open the PTS and try to access the new vehicles from the store the 4 new ones all have a lock on them. Am I missing something?
Should be working as of now
@@NProvince Nice. Thanks for the heads up. Glad it wasn't just me being dense. Sadly the Mack trucks still are locked though and it was them that I especially wanted to test out.
how did you buy the trucks, they all were locked for me in the PTS??
Pretty much every truck in this game needs to have AWD. If it doesn’t there are better options to use instead.
They give us a double log trailer . I predict maps where they will be asking 100x logs 😹
They really be making good trailers a pain to back up with
S 15 launch when? end of febr.?
Why is there no four-wheel-drive for the Mack truck
I think the pinnacle in real life doesn't have it
@@Royalproblems98 Mack Defense offers AWD for the TerraPro.
There is 4 wheel drive, it has 4 powered wheels in the back.
The Pinnacle unique tires have an “excellent” mud rating, does anyone know the coding on them?
Anyone know if the custom color slider will be on other trucks?
Yes it will be on all trucks
Will I have to buy the pack to access the slider?
@ no sleiter is a seasonal truck. If you have the region you can get the sleiter
I'm asking if I will be able to make custom colors for my other trucks without having to buy the mack pack.
@ yes that is not tied to the MACk pack
I think there is a good chance the TerraPro will get AWD. I understand the frustration of some people re:AWD given this is a paid DLC, but has anyone who is complaining about RWD only trucks ever used low saddle with a loaded semi-trailer? It isn't the end of the world. Who here has used the vanilla Transtar 4070A in Michigan with a semi-trailer? In Hard Mode it was my go-to hauling boss in Island Lake and Drummond Island. I understand that this does limit the truck compared to an AWD engageable version of the same, but isn't that all part of the challenge of the game? Tldr: There's always mods if you want better capability. 🤷♂️
Yoooo more US trucks yay
New big boy = new king ?
More like Kolob brothers' long lost cousin. And just like Kolobs extremely -useless- situational
One thing I did not want was yet ANOTHER bloody 5-slot trailer. Is is cool that it actually has pair and fuel. A 6-Slot trailer (even without extra supplies) would have been a lot better though. I don't really use the saddle highs outside mission trailers and the 8-slot trailer, my go-to is the saddle low Step-Deck. A 6-slot trailer would have gave me reason to saddle high more. But this one might just join the collection of 20 other 5-slot trailers that never get used because Step-Deck is just the best.
If that new saddle low is a 3-slot it'd be interesting. Honestly what I want out of a 2-slot trailer is something like a Offroad scout trailer upsized for trucks. Something that's still a hitch trailer, but not a dolly trailer. A 3-slot saddle trailer would have limited uses and a 2-slot saddle trailer would be completely pointless over just putting a bed on a truck.
I had high hopes Saber would give fans trailers they've been asking for. From what you've shown here, gotta say I'm VERY disappointed.
At least the log trailer looks great.
it is a 6 slot trailer, at 10:28 you can see the ui in the top left says 0/6 cargo
@@distracted... Oh nice. Well that's going to be quite useful then.
I'll buy them on release but I'm fully expecting them to buff them in post like they've been doing. That or modders will do it, either way I'll have them with AWD.
Man im so sick n tired of Saber adding good American trucks and nerfing the piss out of em! Sick of these pointless 280k 360+k torque no AWD... Give em 180-220k with AWD, cause then they'd be worth using and balanced. But nooo, gotta wait til modders come fix em. Glad they increased the C500 tires, but they really need to raise the COG about 40% though.
It really seems like they're out looking for people's crap reviews
@@GrySgtBubba the 360k power was wrong. The engine he said had that is already in the game used by the mack defense m917 it has 232K power not the 362 he said in the video.
@mikkelgraff6879 And he mentioned in his livestream its the same engine as the M917, but got info from NakedDave (I believe) its 360k on this Mack. Doesn't matter if it's the same engine...xml's take like 2min to edit and bam, put whatever power you want.
At just point awd is just a requirement for me, it just doesn’t work without it in this game
I'd rather have awd or diff lock than having a supply rack ON EVERY SINGLE TRUCK THEY ADD TO THE GAME why has this become a trend now
I dont get why you think it is a huge thing they get OHD 1 tires. They are great and good looking, I agree on they should be on more trucks, but they are far from the P16's OHD 1 tires. P16 OHD 1 have better stats that some mudtires.
If you watch my tire videos and also my world record runs; they both are good examples of why off-road tires in most cases are better than muds and also the affects they have on trucks with lower power to weight also outlined on prior videos :)
Mack DLC is such a let down. Was super excited for it but the lack of awd makes them obolete
Saber stole these from mods lol. Not that its a bad thing, but just doesn't feel like saber's original idea.
simple, no AWD no buy LOL
They need to fix xbox series x server
Обнова интересная. Но машины опять не докрутили. Нет полного привода, нет игры. На таких только по Мичигану и ездить.
Well I can put this in the same line up as other dumb DLC I'm not interested in like the apache chev and others. Without AWD whats the point? The add-ons may be neat but without 4x4 you might aswell take nearly any other truck. Incredibly disappointing update
Trailers are nice but i wish they did that to all ingame trailers, all semi trailers in the game except the low saddle flatbeds have that eyesore of a waste of space above the 5th wheel hitch and with these new trailers all they did was put a fuel tank and some spare parts prop on that eyesore.
Also pisses me beyond words that in the yearly pass there is ONLY non licensed crap,if the passes were free it made sense that non licensed free made up trucks would be added but we paid for that shit, these greedy sleazeballs disgust me to no end man, cutting every corner written in the book for how to suck every cent out of your fanbase.
Trailers are unironically the best part of the update, although the double-jointed logging trailer looks like a nightmare to back up.
Trucks are very meh for me, Mercer might be decent, but it doesn't look like anything special, RWD Macks are joke, and a heavy high-saddler-only is just sad.
Now if Macks were to get AWDs and the heavy truck would get more addons, now that could make it interesting
None of these Macks having an AWD is pretty disappointing. I dont use Trucks without AWD so there is absolutely no reason for me to buy this pack. Even though i really like the look of the TerraPro
No awd is ridiculous. Alot of base game trucks have awd, or had awd added as an upgrade later on via dlc. So why then are devs expecting players to pay for dlc vehicles that are arguably worse on paper than a base game vehicle. It's so stupid, not even realistic just continues the trend of poor game balance. This is why i use mods for balance, physics mods, and general rebalancing or just add AWD.
Seriously guys please stop buying this they keep giving us 2wd trucks wth
no awd...
Heck yeah we're getting a B-Double trailer!
