No need to apologise mate, you are always so polite and we appreciate you. Thanks for the amazing content. I only wish i found your channel back in 2020.
Thanks so much for putting in the work for these lists. I know they take a lot of time. They're super-helpful for someone like me to only occasionally plays the game but stays current with updates.
The Boar does really well on the new Almaty map. Lots of torque and super tight turning radius are exactly what one needs there, on sloped paths with tight turns. It zooms through them almost like a scout, without the need for much maneuvering. It's also very fast for a heavy, which is nice on the long paved roads.
I was amused by your classification of the Zikz 605R as (still) the king of SnowRunner, because you justified it with even the *exact same words* I had in my mind lol. Incredible fuel economy for a truck of its type, has a huge fuel tank + roof rack + even more fuel on its spare tire addon. I used it to haul the ginormous rocket superheavy trailer in the last mission of Amur, and I had fuel to spare at the end *despite giving some fuel to the other players* that were helping me in the online session (they offered moral support as they followed me along, the Zikz 605R didn't need any help). It is not the king of deep mud/snow, there are a few vehicles with bigger tires that can go through the muck faster than the 605R. *I have yet to see the 605R bog down completely and get stuck though* , it may not be the fastest, the absolute best, but it is good enough (Tl;Dr: It's just spectacular through deep mud/snow, not completely ludicrous, not exactly a downside lol.) It is a contender for the most stable truck in the game, tied up with the Cat 745C in my opinion. In my 1100h of SnowRunner I have flipped it only twice. One was in Amur, I had gotten so brazen by the absurd overall performance of this monster that I decided to take a shortcut jumping down from a boulder that was basically a cliffedge 3 or 4 times the height of the truck itself down into an area full of trees to grab some cargo in a warehouse nearby with my wide flatbed trailer. *It almost worked* , oh and I took very little damage doing it. The second time I flipped it over it was on purpose testing just how far you can push this thing. Because of these reasons I completely agree, *you can drive this thing like a complete moron* and it will pull through. The only actual downsides to this truck that I can think of is that it can't use low saddle or a small crane. That's it. This truck is so completely overpowered that I try never using it, otherwise I would just get bored of the game. I only ever get it out of the garage when I'm absolutely done with a mission or a rescue gone wrong and I just want to get it over with already. It really is like you said, with any other truck you might get it out of the garage and start second guessing yourself: "Is this truck really a good idea? Can it do it?" Or at the very least you have to take precautions: avoid some really muddy area that you know that truck will bog down, avoid an area of loose boulders or tricky terrain because it might flip over, have some fuel along the route otherwise you will run out, etc. But with the Zikz 605R? I get it out of the garage with absolute confidence, because I know without any sliver of doubt that it will get it done. Every. Single. Time. The ultimate, universal safety net of SnowRunner. If the Zikz 605R can't do it, it's because it can't be done.
Yeah the FEMM is not great to drive, articulation is really weak. It does make a great companion truck though since it has a centered front winch point, I'm always very happy when I see that. Have the Twin-Steer as the lead truck and FEMM as the follow truck and you have a nice 8-slot trailer replacement for maps with tighter roads and corners. Put everybody's favourite (yes I am being sarcastic lol) trailer the ramped flatbed behind the FEMM and that's 12 cargo. For ultimate cargo like bringing materials to the mine in Season 2, I'd still use both KOLOB's winched together with each pulling a 8-slot trailer for 16 cargo slot mega hauls. But for a lot of maps I can see the Twin-Steer+FEMM+Ramped Flatbed 12 cargo setup being the best option. In theory 2 FEMM's + 2 Ramped Flatbeds can match the 16 cargo mega haul of 2 8-slot trailers. But again the FEMM just does not make a good lead vehicle. It's articulation snaps to the side too easily. It's far better used as a secondary vehicle. So I highly recommend Twin-Steer (lead), FEMM (winched) + Ramped Flatbed for 12 cargo slots over 2 FEMM's + 2 Ramped Flatbed's for 16 cargo. For 16 cargo, I personally will stick to the KOLOB brothers each hauling an 8-slot.
For hauling I use Kenworth 963, stacking cargo on it's 3 slot oilfield flatbed. That thing is so wide it can comfortably fit 6 consumables (use something like metal beams to keep them secure on top).
Finally, some respect for the FEMM 37-AT! Every other person I've seen talk about it basically say "It has bad steering and bad fuel efficiency and bad stability so it sucks." While Mr. Province over here actually spends time with the beast and puts thought and fairness into his review of it!
i appreciate that. actually agree with 2 of those points make by those other folks. Stability is good though. I talked about those things in detail on my review of the truck, however its hard not to place this truck high on the Tier list.
More of my favorite stuff, Nate. I love that Navistar but you forgot the only thing about it that makes me not use it as much as I would like. The coal, man. Whoever was in charge of that amount of smoke should be fired. Also, I tried the multi purpose module on the P12. That was a terrible failure.
I´ve fast tracked the Derry Special for my Amur campagin, and its being great with Big tires and chains. Paystar 5600TS with the second engine for fuel eficiency also being surprisingly good. I´ll fast track the Aramatsu forester to give it a try, since doing logs in Amur is proving a very big chalenge. Great Tierlist.
I have always wished that the Cat 770G was more useful because I have always thought it is one of the most unique and interesting vehicles in the game.
My favorite 4 slot cargo hauler has been the Western Star 6900 Twin Steer, since JAT tires. I run it with JAT MHS VI. Very stable and great in rough stuff. It gets decent enough gas mileage with the AWD off and drives the roads nicely too.
Considering I actually drive heavy equipment (drove a 770 this time last night hauling 2x0 ), it's interesting how my tastes have changed from when the snowrunner started till now. Like the derby from Alaska, I absolutely adore, and poor turn radius just doesn't effect me, but I digress. My s tier non hard mode 605r hard mode derby from alaska
Two questions: Why do you use allterrain tires on Big Kenny (Kenworth) and why do you use OffRoad tires so often, why not use mudtires instead, aren't mudtires just better?
For the Kenny, because it has power issues pulling weight on inclines. This video will give you the reason th-cam.com/video/qgGUehnFuKM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Vm2QeixK7gapU1aU For why I use off-road tires, that is answered on 3 tire videos that are on my “other helpful SnowRunner videos” playlist. I have 3 separate videos on tires and muddruning tips. I would watch those and this will answer you question fully :) 1st video: th-cam.com/video/dIILT6cWQsE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s8G1hn-dIzDxIari 2nd video: th-cam.com/video/V8lEcwFleFo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=o646rrxdAB3IVhOg 3rd video: th-cam.com/video/M_267xI6Nr0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=45RgQeB6TbME12Pt
Talking about saddle ride height, one thing to really surprise me was how Azov 73210 with raised active suspension has trailers ride a few cm higher than the Kolobs with raised active. Discovering this rekindled my love for using Azov 7, this time as high saddle carrier with loading crane.
While the 73210 is nice with the active raised, its actually not higher than the KOLOBs. Its close, but when you compare both kolobs to the 73210 is shadow mode comming out of the garage, it isnt higher
A note for the Azov 73210 he did mention that the active suspention is a must have but i cant stress the importance of that upgrade if u wanna use that truck. Even with the front end clipping issue buffs that it has goten it is still a pain to use without that upgrade to the point that the truck should simply not be used untill u get the upgrade. Can it be used without the upgrade, yes ofc but get rdy to be very annoyed becouse even a tiny bump will slam that front end into the ground and more often then not instantly stop the truck. If u rly wanna use it early then simply rush for that upgrade or just wait. Your own sanity will thank u for it.
I edited the game files to give the Tatras always-on difflock, and they became an absolute blast to use. I still don't think the trucks are overpowered in this configuration due to their limited utility and low ground clearances, but they finally felt as strong as they should have been in the first place. It was just a reminder to me that I don't always agree with the choices the devs make.
As usual, I enjoyed the video and appreciated your analysis and observations. I 'only' have 2,000 hours in the game, and if I had to make a heavy truck tier list, it would be pretty much similar to yours. But I wanted to emphasise where my tier list would differ from yours, based on my experience: 1. I would switch the position of the two Kirovets. The K7M is C-tier for me, and the K-700 is B-tier. It's true that on paper the K7M has better tyres for offroading, but the truth is that it's an advantage that doesn't serve much if you have basically nowhere to go. The K7M is the most awkward and unmanoeuvrable vehicle I've ever driven, and I actually think it handles worse than the CAT 770G. I've tried the dual tyre setup once then immediately discarded it, because it's only useful if you need to go on a straight line (LOL, where are straight lines in SnowRunner?). The Kirovets K-700 not only made farming tolerable, but in my playthroughs it has actually been useful as a rescue truck as well. Its 63" tyres are pretty decent, as is its offroad performance overall. 2. The Derry Longhorn 4520 is such a controversial truck. I've tried _so many times_ to like it, but it has always disappointed. So for me it is not an A-tier truck. Based on my experience, I would put it in the B tier, _behind_ the Derry 3194. True, the 4520 is more manoeuvrable thanks to the rear steering, but its poor power-to-weight ratio has always reared its ugly head every damn time I picked this truck for a mission. It feels constantly 'fatigued' and 'short of breath' even when it's not pulling loads. As soon as inclines get a bit steeper, it loses momentum, and it actually seized on me in a few occasions (situations promply resolved thanks to the Kenworth 963). This truck sorely needs an engine with 300,000 torque to perform like it should, in my opinion. 3. I haven't given the FEMM 37-AT a lot of use so far, but judging from what I've seen, I'm hesitant to put it in S tier. Maybe a high A-tier. To be honest, the only way it has been useful for me so far is in carrying 4 slots of cargo + trailer. That's it. If the Kenworth 963 had a 4-slot flatbed or sideboard bed, the FEMM would never leave the garage. The K963 handles way better. But that's it. For the rest, my overall assessment of the heavy trucks is strongly similar to yours. Thanks again for these videos, Nathan. It's great work, and greatly appreciated. Cheers! //Rick
I agree about the Kirovets, the K7-M is trash. K-700 is way better. Same about the Longhorns, but actually the 4520 has grown on me lately with the addition of the JAT muds to it. I towed the "disassembled dump truck" trailer in North Carolina with it - pretty much without any issues.
I found the dead axle like the one on the Western Stars (especially the double one) can actually help keep a truck from sinking into the mud or snow. Putting it down before a mud bog can really help stop the truck from dragging its frame through the mud
Sometimes they can help, at the beginning of the game, and still today I think, they were an issue of complain for many people, the Derry had one that could not be raised, so the dead axles became something "real terrible that rendered trucks almost unusable"... For me they are not that big of a deal and certainly doesn't stop me from using the trucks that has them.
I disagree. Dead axles only help with stability on hard surfaces, but in the mud they should be raised, otherwise they add resistance from dragging them through. Never in my entire playtime of 2600 hours in the game I've noticed that *lowering* the axle did actually *improve* mud crawling abilities. Every truck I drive with these axles, I try to keep them lowered most of the time, but once they reach a muddy or rocky obstacle, they will stop dead, because the axles catch on that. Raising them always helps to solve that.
@@vladvulcan That's right. I was thinking of the few times I've used dead axles to help with balance and stability, but I agree with you, in mud and snow they will mostly be dragging and increasing resistance.
30:51 I agree with the need to bring the maneuverable truck for the rescue, but it's not the articulated steering per se that hinders that tractor, it's _how the articulation is implemented_ It only can steer left-to-right, without flexing towards the longitudinal axis. CAT 745C and the Forester don't have this problem, but the Antarctic, FEMM and both Kirovets struggle from that. You mentioned this all in your FEMM review, but still.
I'm hoping a future dlc introduces a new top engine the p12 and p16 can use, nothing crazy like I think power somewhere between the v16 and the derry 4520 engine would be enough for them, a lot of other trucks have gotten new top engines through dlc so I don't see why they can't, wow I should've finished the video before I commented
I really like those videos. Other than watching for the fun of learning your opinion on those I use it to quickly look up decent setups for each truck when I'm not sure what modules I want to use
Hello NProvince. New sub here and I think you do a great job with your content. As a beginning player of #SnowRunner, you will guide me in the right direction. I'm still struggling in Michigan and Dam. GodSpeed. Peace and Love Brother. I'll be watching so please keep Truck'N! JDub out.
Hey glad you could stop by the channel. A video i think you should look at before running to the best trucks in the game is this. IF you can grasp these concepts, you will dominate with most trucks in the game :) th-cam.com/video/dIILT6cWQsE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=17nKQHSTj__yDEiP
@@NProvince That's a big 10/4 I'm getting the hang of it and get around pretty good. Roll overs have been a problem, but we'll getter. Thanks and I will be watching. Good vid btw on the Heavys you sent the link for.
I would GLADLY trade the saddle low on the 612 for having a saddle low on the 605. Its high saddle isn't particularly high at all, but it would be the perfect height to tow more normal trailers.
I wish they would fix the suspension on the derry 3194, the front is fully collapsed looking and visually colliding into the frame and the front wheels being super far tucked inside (narrow track width). I did fix it myself long time ago, making it stand like its rl version (oshkosh m911) and it handles terrain waaayyyy better despite the liftaxle hanging closer to the road than vanilla too. And as a bonus I also added the turbo soundfile from the p16 to it, since it has a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA engine irl, which is also modeled pretty well ingame including the turbo, but the sound for it was just missing.
@@NProvince yeah I use the Twinsteer quite a lot you just have to be careful with it one wrong move and it’s going over once it does it’s extremely difficult to get it back over
In the case of the mastadon, i picked it up when all the dlcs went on sale by Christmas and i have to admit though very capable i really only throw it at areas i haven't been with the tatarin and 745c. Scope out a new area, build a couple of roads, etc.. currently it's buried in amur on the way to the 605 but i feel its a bit low and stiff to handle some of the tighter trails. Best $1.49 i put into the game though!
@@NProvince derry special 15c 177 and Femm 37-AT best for me. In most cases, it will not even fall from the top gear. For example, pulling a trailer uphill at the same time with a full load.Femm 37-AT can even hang two full-trailer uphill on some 30-degree slopes in Amur region without downshifting from the fourth gear.Even pulled four goods, plus two trailers.I was very impressed by their motivation. And I like their design concept very much. These are my two favorite cars. Although the lateral stability is average and just passed, it is not as good as zikz 605r in this respect, but the performance of dynamic torque is far better than zikz605r in most cases. They are very professional and specialized, unlike zikz605r, where everything is 85 score,They are more prominent beings, and they have extremely explosive and even cruel motivation. At the same time, it has some shortcomings, which may be that the center of gravity is a little high, and the steering force like femm37at is weak, which may cause problems in some cases. But it doesn't matter when you try to avoid one or two of them,You will find that they perform better than most or even all trucks in this game.Because they also have qualified endurance, strong off-road ability, extremely explosive power and good expansibility (work type). So my two favorite cars are them.If 605r and 612h don't give full marks of endurance and fuel consumption in an official biased and unfair way, and the tire data exceeds the official cheating behavior of the same level, then they should not be as good as Derry SPECIAL 15C177 and Femm37at.
@@NProvinceYour videos are very time-consuming, for you. So I still pay high tribute!I am a China player, maybe some sentences are not translated smoothly and correctly. At present, I have played for 400 hours, within a month and a half. A little crazy, This game has a strong attraction to me, and I haven't felt this way for many years.I sincerely hope that your channel will be seen by more people and have ten times as many subscriptions as it does now.🎉
Pacific P512 PF is always my heavy crane truck. I'm curious if there are any important differences between the two heavy cranes available for the larger P12? PC-320 Profcrane gets it done, but does the other heavy crane have an important difference or just cosmetic difference?
Crane strength is tied to vehicle weight, and maybe winch strength. In the game, the heavier the vehicle, the stronger the winch and crane. Additionally, having a heavier chassis makes it harder to tip as well. The heavier crane has a longer reach, wider supports, and is simply heavier, all of which adds up to making it a superior crane. In short, absolutely heavier is better for crane trucks and the big crane is superior to the medium one. For reference, last night I picked up my light duty crane truck, the International HX, with the P12 heavy crane and it was able to completely lift the entire truck off the ground without tipping at all. It was also able to crane the Derry Longhorn in Alaska up the hill without tipping. Keep in mind, it is a good idea to keep a good medium duty crane truck available to get places the P12 is too big to get to. The 512 is indeed an excellent medium duty crane platform. But it can also do the triplex combo of small crane+bed+trailer. It is also one of the few trucks that can do triple logs as well, being able to use a log trailer with the medium log carrier as well.
thb i feel the P12 has enough power, it just feels like the frame has a huge box sticking out the bottom which catches and drags. The Mastodon i have the muilt purpose addon simply as it does well with it making a good rescue truck.
Половина мимо кассы. Aramatsu Forester, International Paystar 5600TS, FEMM 37-AT, Derry Longhorn 3194, Pacific P512 PF only C. KOLOB 74760, KOLOB 74941, CAT 745C, DAN 96320, BOAR 45318, Derry Longhorn 4520 max B. Derry Special 15C-177 max A.
Well this is really late (9 months after the video 😂) but I went back to look at this video just as a reminder. And I wanted to ask, for purely using a low saddle with a crane and a Sideboard Semi-Trailer, what is the best vehicle in your opinion? Is it the Zikz 612H?
Hey, so while I really hate to say the 612H for many reason (just stupid strong) it essentially is a pull the gas and win type truck. I do like to use a plethora of vehicles to haul low saddle. A great one would be the Tayga 6436 and there are so many others
The Kirovets tractors are so disappointing, both of them feel horribly underpowered when trying to pull a stuck truck out. They have limited use for farming but since they’re so weak they’re essentially wasted in the game beyond farming. The same can be said for the 770G, it’s cool but completely useless, and a big reason I would love to see a massive rock quarry map where the whole map is inside a massive quarry and they can use the rock trailer more regularly. It would also be nice to have loose gravel and sand along with dump truck bodies for several trucks to transport it, and a front end loader to load it.
As far as dead axel trucks , i only drop the dead axels for using crane and if i have to cross a slope where i think i might tip. Are there any other scenarios i should be dropping the dead axel ?
Thats a good place to do that. other than that, I havent use the drop axle alot. I'd rather have drive axles contacting the surfacer with drives traction from weight.
Thank you for these tier lists Nathan. I have a question - what do you mean by "special couting (sp.?)" when you talk about Pacifiv P16 and P12 tires? Edit: Also, where do I find how much torque each engine has? Is there an engine tier list somewhere? Thank you.
Hey Tank you! So i'm saying Special Coding meaning that The P512 PF and The P16 have special coded custom tires that have better grip than normal OHD tires essentially
@@NProvince oh, so the tire names would be the same but the code makes them better? Does that apply to all available tires for them or just special ones? Thank you Nathan for your sweet reviews. Just seen you play Mudrunner - awesome! I started out with Spintires. That game got it's last updates in 2019/20 right about when Snowrunner came out. If you are able to get it, it has some things done better then Mudrunner. Realy worth checking out.
So it does not apply to all tires available to both of those trucks. Please remember the P12 doesn’t have any increased grip values on the OHD tires like the P512PF, Cat 770G, & the P16. All these can be found on the maprunner websites> resources > SnowRunner data spread sheet. Also stop by the stream if you have any questions. I’d be glad to help
@@NProvince ah, got'ya. It's been way over bed time here - I reread what you wrote and immidiately realised how silly my qustion was. Where do I go to ffind you stream?
You can click on any video that was a past stream and in the description it will have a link posted there or there is one on my main page on TH-cam. It should be at the top :)
That is up to you when you use it. Its made to allow options for trucks that perhaps need to refuel often without other support vehicles. I personally never use the addon, because Im used to setting up support around maps and I value more cargo space. Some vehicles however its nice to use and have that utility
A question after you talked about the Tatra T815-7. Is there any difference performance wise with always on AWD & Diff and switchable AWD & Dff? Because you said you would rank it up way higher if it was always on.
Yes there is a difference. I would go look at my reviews on both of those trucks and I explain it, but essentially these trucks don’t necessarily want to turn all tires all the time even though they have the power to do so
How do y'all know which truck is better offroad? Is it more power to weight ratio? max engine power? ground clearance? Tire size?, I know AWD, LSD and good ground clearance is necessary but besides those, how can I know which will be better at more cargo hauling? the game only shows power to weight ratio and just considering that a fleetstar F2070A (S+) should be better than P16 (B) (stock engines) but thats not true. I looked through the vlad vulcan's truck guide to see the Max power but I dont think just Max engine power will show me the better truck as it shows ANK38 CIV is better than p16 which isnt right(I think). Its probably something about the Max power subtracting the weight of truck and how much adjusted power to weight ratio is left is the weight it can carry, in a way. But I cant get my head around it. I never learned proper physics in high school bcz the English teacher taught us physics (cheap school saving money) and now I only study accounting. I dont even know the basics of physics like the newtons laws so if someone reading this can explain me these things I would be so grateful. Plus if anyone can explain why my fleetstar's front tire has no friction when i am turning left or right, it just goes straight sometimes, even in low speed, with 5 slot semi trailer(empty). Is it bcz of the trailer doesn't have front axle? or bcz of weak engine? I started playing on casual mode and finished first 3 sub-maps of Michigan state but i still couldn't figured out which truck to use as i kept selling and buying all the trucks and it completely ruined the game for me and I still did not understand which truck should i play with, p16 or ANK38, i couldnt even understand which is better in mud. Now i started playing the hard mode and now its fun as I cant keep buying and selling the trucks and now i finally appreciate my fleetstar as this time i didnt sell all 3 trucks for a single ANK38 truck. But now which truck should i buy next i dont understand, as i cant sell whichever i buy without heavy loss so some guidance will help, how should i proceed next without ruining the game? I dont know how stupid is this question, my mind just doesnt work with some things in life i am writing this at 3 AM half-asleep. any guidance is appreciated, this game is only one i enjoy in-between study breaks which makes me relax but which truck to buy next always stress me out 😅
So there are a multitude of things to be answered here. I would recommend coming to the stream so that I may help elaborate without typing a book here. Also I think I would go through my YT videos and truck reviews to answer a lot of these questions as well. Go follow on twitch and I hope to see ya there
Man i can't believe people dont like the gmc brigadier 8000 jus got it the other day when i grabbed year 2 and 3 and its honestly one my favorite trucks now drinks a hella lot of gas tho !! Butale the game fun for me haveing to refule trucks im useing !
Am I the only one that wished they had a mega heavy duty crane I’m talking like a 510 ton drivable crane anyone think that would be sweet obviously it would only be for certain missions but that would be a fun vehicle I used to do tree work for a long time and I’ve seen some pretty beast, huge off-road, all-wheel-drive cranes in my life
The vehicles don't struggle with power because they're heavy, they struggle because the devs artificially lowered their performance for game balance, or so they say 👍.
They actually do struggle because of power to weight, the balance they implement to the super heavy trucks with low power to weight is wheel weight increase which in Snowrunner effectively increases pulling power. This has been proven from a few data miners and testers as well
36:25 Twinsteer really needs revision and re-balancing, due other better trucks, there are many possibilities to make tis monster better and more efficient... ...and in reality this truck has more duties than only hauling cargo...
The CATs are just done dirty by the devs just like the racing Azov truck in the sense that they had huge potential but it's all qasted by the lack of functionality. - The rest 770G should have grippier tires, i see no reason why those big industrial heavy duty tire don't have the same grip as the broken good Tatarin tire, it makes no sense that scout tires have more grip than actual heavy duty tires from a dump truck. - The 6x6 CAT just feels bad, articulated steering is awful in this game and that would still be fine, it also has AWD amd good tires but no addons like the 770G so no matter how good they could be they just can't do anything anyway. - The CAT telehandler is the same as the Azov truvk, it had potential but it was wasted, it could've been better and it could've had a hook too instead of a fork pallet like real life telehandlers do but the devs couldn't give a damn about it. Worst offender going back on the big trucks territory is the FEMM, i cannot believe how good that thing could've been and how shitty it actually is, articulated steering as stated sucks in this game, the FEMM is slow and so on, not rlly stable either BUT the worst thing about it is the steering torque, it's abysmal, 80% of the time it doesn't have the strenght to steer at all not to mention if you go straight and hit a tiny rock or branch with one of the front wheels it instantly steers towards it like jelly cuz of the lack of steer torque/strenght or when you are at a tiny angle the trucj just steers everywhere, it just feels like driving a boat made out of jelly. The devs straight up ruined anything that truck could've been, i hope they fix it in future updates cuz the way it is not i kid you not it's more frustrating to use the FEMM than it is to use a useless highway truck like the Ford 9000 to carry cargo, at least that thing is controllable.
In reality, those huge loader tires actually have very little grip. It is common to see them struggling to get around in mud. A decent, proper mud tire on a pickup will typically get better traction. The only reason equipment is able to get around as well as they do is because they are so much heavier than a smaller vehicle. Their width is actually what makes them so poor in mud. They can't dig in and bite, instead they just slide around on top.
I bought the 612 about 20 minutes into the first time playing the game cuz it was on sale for like 3 bucks and I thought it looked awesome. Didn't know anything about its stats or if it was good....and now I feel like a total P2W noob lol
I feel like a lot of new folks fall into this. It’s pretty much the developers fault to allow the most power trucks to be available right at the start. I’m glad you noticed though. Most folks don’t :)
@NProvince It actually took some of the fun out of the game, because it made everything too easy on the early maps. I'll pull it out if I'm playing solo, but prefer to have a little bit more of a challenge if I'm playing in a group and we can help each other out. Love the content btw. Getting pretty deep into the game and just binge watching your stuff haha.
I pulled medium logs in Yukon with the HX520. Then I tried the NF1430. Both a struggle. Last night I removed the heavy crane from the P12 and used that for medium logs. It performed very well. Also shout out to the Dan.
The Mastodon has an awful engine sound, though. :( It's LOUD. I almost never use it because of that. For me the FEMM is the best looking truck in the game with the Euro style cab and big wheels. I wish it had always on diff locks. Switchable is just artificial slowing down of the vehicle. I haven't used vanilla vehicles much at all in years, though. There are many excellent mods and tweaking stuff like diff locks and power on PC is easy. I don't find doing fuel runs fun anymore, having played the original maps like five times and even most of the DLC maps more than once.
Agree with A. While it is extremely capable, it requires skill and attention to use effectively. S class should be basically cheat class vehicles that are just point and go. Plus, the twin steer is also very limited. No add on configuration at all, and no trailer support at all either. It is strictly a 4 slot hauler and not really anything else.
3:35 this is the worst chunk of metal ever put on 4 wheels when im towing something this cannot steer for shit due to the lack of awd terrible terrible RAH i depise that hunk of metal with a burning passion
I think that most of the trucks in this game perform worse than they would in real life, and the ZikZ heavy trucks are the only ones with their full IRL power
If that was so where are the real life examples showing trucks pull loads like this through elements (hills, over boulders, and mud depth) like they do in this game. You won’t find trucks pulling these loads on these grades of hills like this
Indeed, because every tierlist is based on opinion unless its publish by the developers. I also have more time in most of these trucks than most players in the game. Still a tierlist is subjective. I also wanted to properly set up and convey how i would rank this truck class so thats why that part is laid out as clear as I could
@@generaldisarray4146Many trucks from that era of similar type had offset cabs. They were so wide that having a centered cab would cause too many issues with clearance and operations. Mack cl350, Hayes, Kenworth, and others all did the same.

Welcome to the community. I would watch this th-cam.com/video/dIILT6cWQsE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OyZxalXAL1LCIfp9
*I have yet to see the 605R bog down completely and get stuck though* , it may not be the fastest, the absolute best, but it is good enough (Tl;Dr: It's just spectacular through deep mud/snow, not completely ludicrous, not exactly a downside lol.)
It is a contender for the most stable truck in the game, tied up with the Cat 745C in my opinion.

Great work. Detailed, thoughtful, and curated.

The floppy central link brings back all the bad memories of trying to use the "antarctic", LOL.
Seems like the FEMM is made for Yukon. But I am still in Yukon in my playtrough, and I do not have the FEMM. And I am not skipping ahead.
For hauling I use Kenworth 963, stacking cargo on it's 3 slot oilfield flatbed.
That thing is so wide it can comfortably fit 6 consumables (use something like metal beams to keep them secure on top).
For yukoni mainly used azov 73210. Used more fuel than i would prefer tho
@@0ptera I overload sometimes, mostly with medium logs more than anything else. I only have a few trucks with cranes anyway.

Finally, some respect for the FEMM 37-AT!
Every other person I've seen talk about it basically say "It has bad steering and bad fuel efficiency and bad stability so it sucks."
While Mr. Province over here actually spends time with the beast and puts thought and fairness into his review of it!
i appreciate that. actually agree with 2 of those points make by those other folks. Stability is good though. I talked about those things in detail on my review of the truck, however its hard not to place this truck high on the Tier list.
I'm very happy that 5600ts is in S!
same here, brother. My #2 favorite truck after the KW963!
Ahh yes the coal smoke! I shoulda added that in there
Niceeee, I love & enjoy your tier lists 😎👍
Glad you enjoy them :)
Thank you!
I have always wished that the Cat 770G was more useful because I have always thought it is one of the most unique and interesting vehicles in the game.
I agree
I've been waiting for this one, good content! Thanks!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great tier list, I agree with the most takes!
Glad you enjoyed it Vlad
My favorite 4 slot cargo hauler has been the Western Star 6900 Twin Steer, since JAT tires. I run it with JAT MHS VI. Very stable and great in rough stuff.
It gets decent enough gas mileage with the AWD off and drives the roads nicely too.
Thanks for another tier list Nathan, great work, entertaining and informative...!!!
Thank you! :)
The other derby Also is incredible
Two questions: Why do you use allterrain tires on Big Kenny (Kenworth) and why do you use OffRoad tires so often, why not use mudtires instead, aren't mudtires just better?
For the Kenny, because it has power issues pulling weight on inclines. This video will give you the reason th-cam.com/video/qgGUehnFuKM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Vm2QeixK7gapU1aU
For why I use off-road tires, that is answered on 3 tire videos that are on my “other helpful SnowRunner videos” playlist. I have 3 separate videos on tires and muddruning tips. I would watch those and this will answer you question fully :)

Of note for the 512, is it can do both triplex combos.
It can do small crane+bed+trailer and medium log carrier+log trailer+winch log trailer.
Good shit bro I'll watch this in full tomorrow morning when I play
Thank you!!
Whats interesting about the navistar 5000, the fuel tanks on the model are 100 gallon tanks. I have them on one of my irl trucks.
A lot of trucks don’t have correct values across the board. I’m guessing it was their way of balancing endurance of truck
But I wanted to emphasise where my tier list would differ from yours, based on my experience:
Dan is my go to and easy s+ teir no one can tell me different 😂
That's fair, I haven't done any sort of testing or such with it.
@@fullhousegaming193 so why do you say that you "found out it helps"? If you haven't tested that, how do you know?
Lovely stuff Nathan. Hey I like the looks of those JAT tyres on lots of trucks, and as you point out it can be a stability boost.
Yea that’s essentially my use for them
Yet another awesome teir list, thanks for all the hard work you put into them Nate! One of my favs is the big old Kenworth 963. haha God bless!
Thank you! The Kenny is a great truck ! God bless you as well friend
The p 512 has become one of my stars in my no awd play through, it and the twinsteer are putting in work, along with the paystar twinsteer in taymir
Very strong tires on this one :) Glad you're enjoying it
The Derry Special is helping me out bigtime on Lake Kovd and Immandra. With the chained tires its a beast.
I believe it. It’s quite the truck!
The Kenworth and mastodon have been my mine crutches lately
They definitely can be
I'm hoping a future dlc introduces a new top engine the p12 and p16 can use, nothing crazy like I think power somewhere between the v16 and the derry 4520 engine would be enough for them, a lot of other trucks have gotten new top engines through dlc so I don't see why they can't, wow I should've finished the video before I commented
Id like to see something of that sort too tbh
@@NProvince also imo the twinsteer 6900 should be allowed to pull trailers, mainly because of the femm being in game now
I really like those videos. Other than watching for the fun of learning your opinion on those I use it to quickly look up decent setups for each truck when I'm not sure what modules I want to use

Heavy trucks are probably my most used truck type in this game they get stuff done for me very well
It definitely is the most used truck type

Great video on the Heavy list
605 is the king 👑
No doubt
Pacific P512 PF is always my heavy crane truck. I'm curious if there are any important differences between the two heavy cranes available for the larger P12? PC-320 Profcrane gets it done, but does the other heavy crane have an important difference or just cosmetic difference?
The larger crane is heavier and it has a longer boom with wider stabilizers when it deploys. The strength to my knowledge is no different
If it had enough power to go up hills in low gear I would say yes but it doesn't which is why it's a low c teir for me
Половина мимо кассы. Aramatsu Forester, International Paystar 5600TS, FEMM 37-AT, Derry Longhorn 3194, Pacific P512 PF only C. KOLOB 74760, KOLOB 74941, CAT 745C, DAN 96320, BOAR 45318, Derry Longhorn 4520 max B. Derry Special 15C-177 max A.
Thank you for your list :)
Hardest working man in baseball right here.
for some of these long frame trucks like the international paystar 5600ts, is the ability to run the long log add on.
Yep that’s another good thing
Well this is really late (9 months after the video 😂) but I went back to look at this video just as a reminder.
And I wanted to ask, for purely using a low saddle with a crane and a Sideboard Semi-Trailer, what is the best vehicle in your opinion? Is it the Zikz 612H?
Hey, so while I really hate to say the 612H for many reason (just stupid strong) it essentially is a pull the gas and win type truck. I do like to use a plethora of vehicles to haul low saddle. A great one would be the Tayga 6436 and there are so many others
@ that’s respectable. And for long logs, what would be the truck you believe in the most for hauling long logs?

That is up to you when you use it. Its made to allow options for trucks that perhaps need to refuel often without other support vehicles. I personally never use the addon, because Im used to setting up support around maps and I value more cargo space. Some vehicles however its nice to use and have that utility
ZikZ 605R, my beloved
I've played with the WS 6900 and didn't even know it had AWD
Really good surprise right?
In the base game until season 10 thew kolob 74941 is the most stable vehicle, and this is just my opinion based from my gamplay.
Id agree with that. I brought this up about 10 times on streams in the past
where are you getting those stats for weight, torque, etc
They are located in the files, but you can access them from the maprunner website
I've only flipped the 745c once and that was jumping off of the runway on white valley Alaska. FOR SCIENCE
For the science :)
I think the 612 got a nerf as a few of the addons are now absent.
Just checked it. Pretty sure it still has ever addon
Where would the atom be ranked at?
Probably S due to its massive changes to its center of gravity recently
This has been proven from a few data miners and testers as well
kenworth has some serious power issues, sold it and didn't look back
36:25 Twinsteer really needs revision and re-balancing, due other better trucks, there are many possibilities to make tis monster better and more efficient...
...and in reality this truck has more duties than only hauling cargo...
Yukon is one of the harder places to log and also one of the deeper places too. Glad the P12 worked out
great gaming!!! 🤟👍
Did you really have the audacity to put the twinsteer in A tear? My disappointment is immeasurable nathan...
I did say it could easily be an S pending who it’s used by :)
You won’t find trucks pulling these loads on these grades of hills like this
And the cat looks sad , like someone hurt its feelings
First 3m is him talking about how this tier list is based on his opinion 😂
Indeed, because every tierlist is based on opinion unless its publish by the developers. I also have more time in most of these trucks than most players in the game. Still a tierlist is subjective. I also wanted to properly set up and convey how i would rank this truck class so thats why that part is laid out as clear as I could
The p12 is just so damn ugly. I can’t get past that.
The offset cab on the P16 though. I can't unsee it!
@@generaldisarray4146 atleast all the proportions are right on the 16.
Ugly? You weird
@@generaldisarray4146Many trucks from that era of similar type had offset cabs. They were so wide that having a centered cab would cause too many issues with clearance and operations.
Mack cl350, Hayes, Kenworth, and others all did the same.
