I have an anthem arc, and I did more calibration myself afterwards. Most processors will get you there. You just need to fine-tune. Great video and a awesome set up
Don’t forget to edge the grass, too 😂 The sub setup is killer! I’m looking to doing waveforming in my next house. Glad you’re doing it first so I don’t have to figure out everything 😁 I’ll probably continue with DIY subs ( GSG Audio). Using two of the 18” mini-Martys currently which I’ll move to the back and they offer behind the screen versions that match. The cleat mounting system is clutch
Now it makes a bit more sense why you did double 12s. I guess it allows a more shallow enclosure. I actually like the choice, especially with combination of the other choices.
Love your channel. I am looking to upgrade my system. I could go with your exact RBH set up but only a 7.1.2 or Perlisten r5m , r5c , and r2ic. With the perlisten, I would only change my front sound stage and atmos speakers with the perlisten due to price. Any recommendations?
TRINNOV is the BEST, it’s not even close (I have an A32). Wave Forming is definitely great technology but the issue you have to consider is: Is it better to buy 5 X Subs at $3500 each or better to spend $17500 on 1 or just 2 subs? You will get better sound, no doubt. It’s just really about the frequency response plots, guys! And let me tell you -
Well since you asked: I never let any piece of equipment do anything as far as auto-calibration goes. I mean it might be OK to get you in the ballpark... I dunno I have yet to be impressed. Theatrically Dolby Atmos and IMAX do auto calibrations (IMAX every morning at powerup). Dolby Atmos theatrically has yet to impress me. I'd rather listen to a good 7.1 auditorium with a great B-chain vs a Dolby Atmos auditorium with a mid B-chain. But I digress... Cool setup! I do have subs that are on opposite sides of the room set 180 degrees out of phase with each other for my own dollar store waveforming, lol.
I love how you keep tweaking in search of perfection! Just don’t let perfect be the enemy of great! You got me hooked! First on Arendal, then GE, now RBH! Curious if you will review those giant Arendal 1528 Tower 8. Would love a T66, R5t, Tower 8 comparison. (Also, stop wearing nice watches lifting 90lb subs! 🤣) Great channel! Thanks for the awesome content!
Very informative video. I am working to implement WF in my space in a 2-2 array. I have been going back and forth deciding between using some 15" dual driver boxes, or single 18s. How did you like that PSA? I like the way pro audio drivers handle anything above ULF, but it seems they quickly run short on xmax. It is slightly tempting for me to use pro drivers for the arrays and a big 21 or 24 below the first mode like you have done.
Do you do waveforming fine tuning after running room calibration or before? I ran the waveforming after and used pressurization at 13hz. Very impressed by the result. Hands down. Only complaint is my screen was shaking too much😅
sounds promising, hope we get future content about how well it works. i do recommend the youtube video: Universal Studios Intro for Rotary Sub it is one of the most impressive things i heard in my room, i put the audio into audacity and plot spectrum, peaks at 14hz and goes way lower if you got the subwoofers to do it.
It's actually SI, as in "Signature Integrated". Our SI line is the most customizable. We were able to convert the SI-1212/R9 in-wall sub, to a usable On-Wall variant. Cheers!
Waveforming as in beamsteeering at low frequencies in a room like this doesn't work, since the subs are not nearly spaced apart wide enough to form a wavefront like you would with a beamsteering array. Instead the low-frequency in-room response will always be domniated by modal interference, even before the first cycle has been completed, so there is no direct wave to be formed. It's having multiple subs that drastically reduces the seat-to-seat variance in SPL. Adding this overhyped program by Trinnov doesn't do anything you can't achieve with a DSP and measurement microphone.
i can only dream with a HT like that, the amount of money needed to build something like that is amazing
I love your videos so much, bro, and your voice is special to me. I’d love to turn your voice into a story to listen to as I fall asleep. :D

I am extremely impressed this is phenomenal. The best I have ever seen yet!
Very clean set up Shane
Thanks!
I've been too lazy to implement WF. But your video has my attention and eyes back on the ball. Thank you for sharing your settings.
Have fun. Only takes a few hours to get it right 😆

This is supa-dupa-dope

congrats. looks good!

Do all RBH and have money left for a sub or two.
thats gonna be a tough theater to beat. WOW
Can you describe the process of pre-calibrating subs, please?
Its an LFE arms race and Shane Lee is now in the lead! Keep up the good work, Shane! Now show us the vid where you moved the 21 sub to the front haha
😂😆
Scott Newby enters the chat.
Great update Shane. The room is awesome and no even more so.
🍻
Awesome Shane! You planned out that room well to take advantage of waveforming. Switching to the ALT32 was worth it.
Yes indeed it was.

Awesome. Thanks for the video.
🍻
bro i dont know the performace about on-wall subs but the design of that sub looks really cool though i wanna go ur home lol
Sounds promising, yet is it for everyone? Some people might like the lingering bass.
And do push and pull subs do the same?
No they dont. If they did we'd all have them.
@therealshanelee I see, thank you.
A moment of silence for your neighbors...........NOW FIRE UP MINUS ONE!
🦖😂😆
Is there any pre amp for 7.*.6 configuration under 4K$ ?
Put my subs on bypass, and let ARC Genesis do its job, works quite well...
Shane you need to ignore all these trolls, I know it's easier said than done. Yet I must admit I am a little jealous 😁 also your grass looks fine.
😂🍻
la tu vas sur mars sans problème!!!c est ouf amitié
Was the non waveforming calibrated with mso or just raw measurements.
Used REW

Neva! 😂😅

If you want the PSA 21 you can have it for cheap.
That says everything I need to know about it. I imagine it’s pretty xmax limited compared to your new 21

😂 same my screen now shakes too. I did it before running it. I'm gonna try to tweak it after too and see if it gets any better.
Bravo Shane
Shane! Is 9 total Subs now?
8
One last question! Is the first row seating, curved? It looks like from some of the camera angles...
I would like you to try the Storm Audio. Would love to hear you compare Trinnov to a StormAudio.
I have a friend with a Storm and he can't wait to get rid of it for a Trinnov 😉
@@therealshanelee May I ask why :)
Thanks
Jesus Christ man that’s gonna be IMMENSE
More freebies for Shane!😂 Let me guess they sound amazing the best you’ve ever heard ! RBH puppet!
That's exactly what I said in the video. How did you know? Idiot 😂
I thought you loved the perlisten subs ,why you went in a different direction
You can't hang a Perlisten on the wall 😁
Freebies that’s why he’s change, Perlisten not free!😂
Nope. I still own Perlisten genius.
Perlisten expensive bro
So based on the REW results it hasn't made a big difference.
How does the Shotgun scene in John Wick 3 sound? Do you get more mid-bass slam from the Shotguns?
Never heard of Waveforming (shocker) and knew you could mount sub's on walls. What's your normal speakers? Good video as always.
th-cam.com/video/JXJ7jj3LRAU/w-d-xo.html
So the psa 21 sub has been working for you? I thought it was trash?
I had to high pass it so it doesn't reach low enough to make it bottom out.
@therealshanelee With a pro audio driver, it might be super efficient and loud at 30hz and above. Might be good for adding some mid bass chest slam.
Its just strange everybody in forums and page love the b&c ipal driver but shane @LeeLee-fi7mx
sounds promising, hope we get future content about how well it works.
i do recommend the youtube video:
Universal Studios Intro for Rotary Sub
it is one of the most impressive things i heard in my room, i put the audio into audacity and plot spectrum, peaks at 14hz and goes way lower if you got the subwoofers to do it.
Bridgeport Connecticut thank you for helping people with home theater 🎥 👍😎👍🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
SL = slim maybe 🤔

Why pay for mower gas when you can save those few bucks for upgrading your system? 😄
I think in wall subs look better
offtopic - what do you do apart from Yt to afford these massive equipments?
He doesn’t pay RBH gives him speakers & subs so he can advertise their products on his channel!
He's right. Everything I review on the channel is given to me to keep as an advertisement. I'm so lucky!
Customer my calibration
