I’m at work, watching in between seeing patients (lol). I truly wondered how you were going to go about that corner, right of the stove. And after watching you tackle this, I AM INSPIRED!!! 🔥🙌🏽 So satisfying to see how you got around the sink, perfectly. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hahaha glad to be your between patients entertainment 😆😆. To be honest I was NOT thinking that corner would be a challenge.. until it was 🤣. You have great foresight!!
You are inspiring. Not just for the DIY but also just in general. I have ADHD also and it's REALLY HARD sometimes to get things done and finished, but watching you really gives me a boost of motivation every time. Also until I saw your channel I never thought of diy as possible for me as a renter and now I'm super excited to fix things up to make ME HAPPY. THANK YOU!!!
We LOVE YOU DALIA!!! I so appreciate the camera angles on each step. So helpful to novices scared like me to do this. Watching you, I feel I could possibly do this! I had already tried to do this to a small bar and wish I used your techniques at that time. But... it still looks good in spite of my novice try and every AM I see it, it makes me smile. I'm glad you are doing this for a living. You are soooo smart! Good AM from America!
It turned out so great!! I did this to my counters and cabinets (in my bathroom and kitchen) at the beginning of last year and I love it! I got the kind that's made for countertops, and they don't stain, you can use whatever cleaning products you want with no problems. they still look like they did the day that I applied them. I also got 1 big roll and didn't even use most of it. oh, I did use clear caulking around the sinks, just to be on the safe side.
lol...I hear you girl. Remember when I told "I'm cleaning my fridge today" like weeks ago.... lol...I just did it yesterday. I'm proud of you cuz it took you weeks, not months, or a year... YOU GO DALIA DEAR!!
Dalia, I'm 70 y/o. What I want to say doesn't fit with this vido. It about all the vido you have made that I have seen. In my 20's (in early 70's) I was diagnosed with dyslexia (ADHD was not talked about at that time), therefore I feel like I understand you. You spoke of not feeling your chronological age. I also have felt and still do feel my feelings don't match chronolical age. I think it keep you young and help when you get old. When I was in teens I knew I wouldn't wouldn't be ready for children until my 30's. My one and only daughter was born when I was 30. Looking back, I wish that I had waited a five or more years befor having her. Stay creative, don't rush life. I enjoy your work. Don't force doing work (if you finacely can). When children come you will be doing things on their time line not yours. Enjoy life where you are NOW! Don't rush life!
Wow !! What a difference this makes and it feels so fresh. I really admire how you think everything through until you are satisfied with how a project will progress. And you patience pays off in having completed a very professional looking job- excellent. I really love your channel and I am learning so much! 🥰😊❤️☀️🦩
The good thing is that it matches your appliances, so it looks great. I think you need to put some black accents in the kitchen so it matches the black handles and than it would harmonise.
I love this! I just moved into my own place and my kitchen counters are just as dark and I don’t even want to cook in there 😂 this has inspired me so much, thank you! 🤍🙌🏻☺️
I saw the short clip of this a few days ago and was so excited to see the full reveal! I just started watching the video, but I’m sure it will turn out amazing!!! Love all that you do! ❤️
I love the music you have in the background. I can't think of the genre it is. Maybe folk? 🤷🏼♀️. Who are some of the artists in your play track, please? You are very inspiring to watch. You take your time and do a great job. You're not afraid to tackle the unknown. 👍 I am 64, and I own my condo. I would love to update my kitchen, and doing it renter style is good because if I want to change it later, I can. I am watching you from Florida, USA 🇺🇸 I'm proud of you.😊
I love when you get lost in your thoughts on camera....I used to edit mine out but now that I see how adorable it is, maybe I'll stop feeling so self conscious about it if it's only for a few seconds.
I'm so late. Apologies. This was so calming. Enjoyed watching every bit. I know the feeling of not knowing if your counter is clean. Constantly running my hand along top. It's a beautiful job... as always. ⚘
Wow congratulations!! 😊❤ I have the same problem in my rental, though mine is aged and light with pot burn marks from the previous tenant. I must admit using vinyl scares me a little, with the worry of bubbles and not aligning it perfectly to the one before but you have totally inspired me to give it a go. Thankyou ❤ Your transformation looks amazing and soooo impressed you handled it solo. New subscriber here ❤.
Wow. Looks so much brighter. Great job! Last year I put "concrete" peel and stick on my counters and I wish I had known about the card trick. I didn't do a great job around the sink, but it looks so much better overall I've learned to ignore it.
The brighter countertops look so good and those, coupled with the already white appliances, give your kitchen a lighter and fresher vibe. The pattern was a solid choice. Shout out to the Tim's gift card you were using lol a handy little tool
Love it Dahlia the counter top came out so beautiful. I hope you and hubby are doing well. Looking forward to seeing what you do next with your kitchen. 😊👍🏾
I think you did a beautiful job! I have several different rolls of contact paper saved currently for my kitchen because I can’t pick one. 🙈 I know I just need to make a decision, and this was the push I needed!
yes girl do it!! What I don't think I mentioned in this video... I also had 2 other kinds of contact paper in my closet that I ordered months ago but like you - couldn't decide on what to do 🤣 you're not alone!
Absolutely brighter n happier...dnt knw if that makes sense....but after all great job 👏🏻 especially with that little corner...more kitchen videos!!😀.yay..💕
I literally did my counters and table with this exact contact paper last month. I remember some reviews complaining about the different tones. I only had to order two rolls ( not much counter space) .
Like Yarn, Contact Paper has a Serial Number, you should have looked, also here in England a very wide one is made so you can lay it lengthwise on a long surface.
This makes sense. I think I have to consider that for me kitchen. It's granite which is great but the color is not what I love. I'll consider the tone of my counter to determine what contact babe I get
I have pine cabinets and I just ordered a matte black stone marble contact paper to cover our dated granite that always looks dirty!! Fingers crossed 🤞
I knew I’d love your video (the first I’ve watched of yours) right off the bat because of the comment you made regarding your “ADHD” brain. I knew I’d at least be able to relate but would also probably have a few laughs in the process because of that relatability. At least I know I usually laugh at myself a lot when attempting such projects due to my ADHD- it beats crying. But that’s almost what happened when I attempted placing a marble look contact paper onto my bathroom countertop a few days ago. I allowed it to get the best of me early on because of my inability to maneuver the two sinks (they’re killin’ me!), deemed myself a failure and decided I was in desperate need of quite a few days off while I returned to my diy videos. That’s where you came in. And you absolutely did make me laugh, especially when you did those silly little dances (do all ADHD people do that?) talked about indecision and pondered over whether the color variations were a deal breaker. All things that are very true of myself (“normally”). My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I’m still no closer in my search of having a step by step approach by which to maneuver those flippin’ sinks, but much more importantly to me you reminded me the importance of patience and having as much fun with the process as is possible with my ADHD brain until I’m able to achieve something very similar to the beautiful results you accomplished with your kitchen. Thank you for sharing such important pieces of the process. So, with a renewed understanding I’ll finally end this so you can get on with your life and I can go make myself a glorious cup of tea!
Thank you for doing the short first. It’s crazy but a lot of TH-camrs do it backwards and I don’t understand. If I watch the short first I want to watch the real video to see more details but if you show the video first, I’m done.
I'm assuming you can't lay a hot cookie sheet on the paper. That's the one thing I like about granite. You can just pop something hot from the oven and lay it on there. But what you've done looks so nice.
I am about to do this to my counters and I can decide if I should roll the paper out completely horizontal (long ways down the island) or do them in vertical sections like you did. Any suggestions?
Thank you for the diy inspiration! My ADHD brain has been planning my countertops (and buying rolls) for over a year now. I'm "almost" ready to go for it. Lol. I also LOVE your dresses. I need one...or four! Who makes/sells them? ( Can't believe nobody's asked yet.) Thanks in advance. :-)
Love it I love how the white brighten up the room very nicely. Do u plan on doing the cabinets? If not what would u recommend to change the color too? 🤔
I think I used 2 of the wider rolls (on the island part of the counter that I started out on) and 2 of the narrower rolls on the back counter. The narrower rolls were much easier to work with and cheaper, though! I'd probably have just gotten those if I were to do it again!
I think the counters look nice and they are much brighter. I'm curious if you're somehow planning to change the color of the cabinets? The yellow-toned wood stands out so much more now. Or, maybe you like the wood? I'm not a fan of warm wood stains, myself. I just painted my 1970s orange-stained cabinets white and my landlord replaced the counter tops with a faux-granite laminate in shades of gray. (Our landlord is letting us update the house and paying for materials if we do the labor.)
I love that your channel is calm, I feel like a lot of DIY youtube is chaotic and loud, I appreciate your videos 💛
@Miranda DeMers Except the music.
A little too late, but just wanted to say thank you Miranda! 💕
Thank you for braving the front line. You are much appreciated 🙏🏼
You are inspiring. Not just for the DIY but also just in general. I have ADHD also and it's REALLY HARD sometimes to get things done and finished, but watching you really gives me a boost of motivation every time. Awh thanks so much Karina. It really means a lot 💞

Oh wow, that's so smart! Thanks for the info. I had no idea that there was contact paper specifically for the counters. 👍🏻 enjoy a great and safe day
Can you share a link ?
Yes please share… what brand?
Please share a link 🙏
link please!
lol...I hear you girl. Remember when I told "I'm cleaning my fridge today" like weeks ago.... lol...I just did it yesterday. I'm proud of you cuz it took you weeks, not months, or a year... YOU GO DALIA DEAR!!
Hell yeah, cleaning the fridge is an ordeal and a half. Go you!
Looks great! Would love to know how they end up holding up! Can't wait to see the backsplash and floor!
Thank you! Hope you had a chance to watch the backsplash and floor videos 😊
U are so sweet and smart! Counters look so nice and it is brighter in there. Excited for what's next. Glad you're happy with the project
Funfact : I am from Spain and I have the same cabinets and the same brown-grey counter!
Your video will be so useful
Glad to be of help in Spain!!

I love how your counters came out! ❤
My biggest worry is how I could get around the sink without messing it up
I really like the way you work. You’re patient and think ahead. Your cuts are very proficient
Usually I skip straight to the point but you talk so sweet I just kept listening to you 🫠
Thanks Dalia, you have inspired me to tackle my own counter tops that I have been procrastinating about for weeks 😊❤
Wow !! What a difference this makes and it feels so fresh. I really admire how you think everything through until you are satisfied with how a project will progress. And you patience pays off in having completed a very professional looking job- excellent. I really love your channel and I am learning so much! 🥰😊❤️☀️🦩
Thank you so much! That really means a lot, especially because I feel like that process of thinking things through can take me a long time 🙈. 💞💞
The good thing is that it matches your appliances, so it looks great. I think you need to put some black accents in the kitchen so it matches the black handles and than it would harmonise.
Yes bc a dark color grounds the room
I love this! I just moved into my own place and my kitchen counters are just as dark and I don’t even want to cook in there 😂 this has inspired me so much, thank you! 🤍🙌🏻☺️
I saw the short clip of this a few days ago and was so excited to see the full reveal! I just started watching the video, but I’m sure it will turn out amazing!!! Love all that you do! ❤️
Wow! LOVED HOW you showed to do it around the sink. I tried it B4, was sooo hard, I quit.
Maybe there is hope....
I love the music you have in the background.
I can't think of the genre it is. Maybe folk? 🤷🏼♀️.
Who are some of the artists in your play track, please?
You are very inspiring to watch.
You take your time and do a great job.
You're not afraid to tackle the unknown. 👍
I am 64, and I own my condo. I would love to update my kitchen, and doing it renter style is good because if I want to change it later, I can.
I am watching you from Florida, USA 🇺🇸
I'm proud of you.😊
I love when you get lost in your thoughts on camera....I used to edit mine out but now that I see how adorable it is, maybe I'll stop feeling so self conscious about it if it's only for a few seconds.
I had doubts, at first, but that really lightens and brightens the kitchen. Job well done!
Thanks Virginia!
It looks SO MUCH brighter in your kitchen now! I love it!
I'm so late. Apologies. This was so calming. Enjoyed watching every bit. I know the feeling of not knowing if your counter is clean. Constantly running my hand along top. It's a beautiful job... as always. ⚘
I love how your new touches look, I can’t wait to see what you do with the floor!
Thank you for talking about the seams! I've always wondered about that
Great card hack! Thanks for the tip around the sink.
Your counters look GREAT after your work. It really makes a huge difference in your kitchen. It even makes your cabinets look really nice too!
The kitchen looks so much brighter already! I can't wait to see what you do with the backsplash and the floor.
Wow. Looks so much brighter. Great job!
Last year I put "concrete" peel and stick on my counters and I wish I had known about the card trick. I didn't do a great job around the sink, but it looks so much better overall I've learned to ignore it.
This particular paper replicates the look of terrazzo tile a beautiful tile that was used often in mid century style architecture! I
Wow, what a transformation! So clean and bright! It looks amazing 😍
The brighter countertops look so good and those, coupled with the already white appliances, give your kitchen a lighter and fresher vibe. The pattern was a solid choice. Shout out to the Tim's gift card you were using lol a handy little tool
So much brighter! Great job especially by yourself!
It looks beautiful, Dalia! What a dramatic, bright difference... ❤️😁 Great job! 👍
Thanks Karina! 😊
Love it! Well done. I wanna fast forward to the future to see what floor you choose. This was so satisfying to watch.
Your videos are always so calming/relaxing to watch ❤️🇿🇦
Awh thanks so much. It really means a lot ❤️ 🇨🇦
I saw the short you posted and I couldn’t wait to see the video! Looks amazing!
Yay thanks so much 💞💞
This was so helpful. You did a beautiful job. Thank you!
Love it Dahlia the counter top came out so beautiful. I hope you and hubby are doing well. Looking forward to seeing what you do next with your kitchen. 😊👍🏾
It looks better in that color!! Wow👍❤️
Clearly nobody ever told you that you "couldn't" do anything, cause you'd just do it! Very Canadian, from one Canadian handy-girl to another, kudos.
Looks good, so much brighter.
Great job! I’m excited to see that back splash!!
My last apartment had a similar contact paper on a solid surface white counter. It was a nice upgrade for a reasonably priced apartment.
You made that look it does brighten up the room.
Thank you!
this transformation is marvs!!!😊
thanks so much!!!❤️
Lol, I like the speckled look.
Its quite young and refreshing
It’s brighter! I’ve started my countertops but slacked off, now I will finish it!
How did it go?!
Looks so much brighter...well done 👍
it looks incredible!!!
You did a great job. Looks great.
I agree it does look way better. Very nice
Thanks Stephanie!
Looks so much brighter 🤗
Absolutely brighter n happier...dnt knw if that makes sense....but after all great job 👏🏻 especially with that little corner...more kitchen videos!!😀.yay..💕
I literally did my counters and table with this exact contact paper last month. I remember some reviews complaining about the different tones. I only had to order two rolls ( not much counter space) .
Remarkable. I love this. Will actually do this in my kitchen.💖💖💖
Came out so Beautiful just like everything you do 🥰🥰 I’ve been thinking about doing this since my counter tops are ugly 😩😩😩 ty you for sharing!!!
Thank you so much for your kindness 🥰💞
Love your videos..you are so down to earth and very talented.
Sending love from south Africa
Thanks so much Lesley! ❤️
Can’t wait to see the backsplash and flooring!!!
Hope you liked both the backsplash and flooring videos!!
Like Yarn, Contact Paper has a Serial Number, you should have looked, also here in England a very wide one is made so you can lay it lengthwise on a long surface.
Looks great!
Good job. I had never thought about contact paper
Thank you!
Wow that looks great . How is it holding up ? Did it leave any stains ?
This makes sense. I think I have to consider that for me kitchen. It's granite which is great but the color is not what I love. I'll consider the tone of my counter to determine what contact babe I get
You did am amazing job.. wasn't sure how it would look, but it's beautiful!!
Thanks girl!!! 💕
to give a professional finish to it, you can caulk around the sink and backsplash. It also helps to secure the paper for longer.
Would that leave any permanent residue?
I have pine cabinets and I just ordered a matte black stone marble contact paper to cover our dated granite that always looks dirty!! Fingers crossed 🤞
Turned out amazing girl!! Did it ever brighten up the space. Great job!
I'm loving the music you have chosen. Where can I find it? Was hoping to find it in your show notes. Good job and thank you.
Nueva suscriptora,me encanta tu canal, los veré todos.
Great job!
Looks amazing well done 👏
I really want to try this on my laminate countertops in my rental apartment!

Thanks Marilyn!!
Good 👍 your work makes me to buy for my kitchen a contact pepper
You always have to make sure you get rolls from the same batch #. Just like yarn, different batches can differ in colors a little
It looks great.
Agree totally! Great job.
You did an amazing job with the edges. You’re a naturally handy person. Where did you get those cool printed dresses??
I remember seeing how difficult it was to remove from your last place. Surprised you still went for it again. Guess it must have still been worth it?
Great Job👍🏽
The way you say progress and process I saus she has to be from Canada and then you mentioned it lol...love your page
Good luck with the longevity of the product. Hope you dont need to remove and replace everything when damage occurs.
Thank you for doing the short first. It’s crazy but a lot of TH-camrs do it backwards and I don’t understand. If I watch the short first I want to watch the real video to see more details but if you show the video first, I’m done.
Looks great👍😊❤️
I love love love 😊
I am so glad I watch this my one single cabinet was L shape now I have bar and sink.
Hope this helped!
Very nice work,❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice Job!
Which did you decide? How did it turn out? I'm stuck trying to decide between the two.
Thank you! 💕 Honestly, don't think I'll be doing the cabinets.
You're awesome. How many rolls did you end up using? And where did you use the longest rolls? Thanks in advance
Fantastic job!
How has it held up? Do you think caulking around sink is necessary for water not to get under?
