Yes, this video is a good example of being discipline. If you play your strengths right and not follow baits - you can be very successful. But this requires patience and self-control.
I see the FW-190D-9 firing its nose-mounted, 13mm heavy machine guns but I don't see the wing-mounted, 20mm cannon firing. Am not sure why the Luftwaffe did not mount four, 20mm cannons in the wings but evidently the mix of two 13mm machine guns and two 20mm cannons proved adequate against Allied fighters and medium and heavy bombers.
Yeah german pilots heavily preferred centerline mounted guns, and there smart for it. You can pull lead quicker and get ur guns on faster then wing mounted, also you dont have to deal with weird things that can throw off ur shot like wing flex. The 2x 20mm cannons the d-9 had, were basically fuselage mounted, they shot thru the prop hub so they had to be timed, they were basically fuselage mounted guns that shot thru the prop, as they did, they were just put onto the wings very close to the fuselage. The dora d-13 is the variant thats the best imo, it has 3x 20mm's 2 wing, and 1 thru the hub, ditching the 2x 13mm mgs giving u better vision and aerodynamics, and more firepower. The dora d-13 also had a upgraded engine and could perform what the d-9 could do only like 3km higher. The d-13 also had hydrolic ailerons, giving them amazing roll rate, while the d-9 without hydrolic ailerons already had very good rollrate. There was a dora variant with 2x 20ms and a 30 cannon thru the hub, but its not as effective as the 3x 20mgs with the minengeschoss rounds. Maybe if ur going for bombers and can get kinda close u might want the cannon variant, but the d-13s 3x 20mm layout is my personal favorite. Probably one of if not the worst ww2 plane ud want to face in a head on. Imagine 3x 20 mgs just hitting ur canopy? or even just one or 2, ur blown to pieces.

About 6k. The server was full and the combat zone over tanks resemblances Berloga, so it was imperative to be disciplined. Late war Allied aircrafts are strong, but have nothing on Dora if they want to do some climbing exercises against a good team. A pair of high altitude P51s or P47s would have made our life much harder…

now try this with only logitech twist stick and 6 buttons like me lol. If I could use trim rudder and camera zoom properly my life would be so much easier.... using only 1 slider for throttle and random rudder inputs from twist stick sucks assss :) and this video shows exactly why.. so smooth..nice vid

The 190 is on my list of planes to master. I must say the hardest part for me is proper IDing targets from high alt. Takes great skill. Nicely done
Yeah, it is much easier to keep SA and ID stuff if you fly with a wingman as I did here. Two pair of eyes just see more.

Since the Luftwaffe placed the Jumo engine in the 190 it seems to have made a difference in performance and speed.
It made all the difference. Jumo was Next Generation Engine for LW. Especially on the higher altitude performance and additional power from MW50.

In the fighter role the pilots prefer to remove the wing guns in earlier Anton models.
