It’s a KV1... the KV2 had a massively oversized turret, easily recognizable.
Russian built tanks like T55, T72 and all its variants are really very small inside. Countries that used them were usually looking for small guys to serve on them. T34, for its time, was rather spacious.

to be fair, tanks dont have good armour on top as tank fired shells were supposed to hit the front, sides and rear. an explosion in that weakpoint could disable the tank as there might also be fuel tanks located.

KV-1 is a huge heavy tank. Pak 39 and Panzer III and Panzer IV (early version, short barrel) cannot stop the monster, causing fear among German forces until 88mm anti-tank gun came in.

German tanks was wery flamable. So they ignited realy easy. That's a fact. They had gasoline engunes. Russian tanks had diesl engines.
The whole movie wasn't bad. If I remember she was a engineer from the tank factory and was trying to get that broken tank going. That was her husband who was forced to fight with the infantry because they didn't have anymore tanks.
Sometimes I feel like some lower-budgeted movies could have done spectacular things if they had what they needed.. I never seen it but I can see where you’re coming from

@@morikanteyekeyeke6147 No, it is not possible. Only using several grenades tied together to explode at the same time could be done and not against all models of panzers.
Russian bias, it's not possible one grenade can't take out pzs. Remember panzers were made for infantry support and lighting warfare meaning they should be able to fight through most obstacles and hence can't be taken out by a grenade or two. That's why there's something called anti-tank missiles and weapons. Someone should have told this to the director.

That stick grenade does have a lot of power than the M1 bazooka
German stick grenades where percussion only; not white phosphorous or anything that could bore into a tanks armor. If places near the exhaust maniford or such pipes it might cause a low grade fix, find some way o get a canopy or side door open on the take amd dropthosefernades in the with wx;lousive chasrges.

Have you ever heard of an anti-tank grenade? But a German tank at that time could be knocked out even with a simple Molotov cocktail, you just had to throw the Molotov cocktail in the direction of the gas tank. You will no doubt ask why German tanks at that time could be knocked out so easily? It's very simple, German tanks at that time were running on gasoline!
@@eugen2408 yeah, no. An anti tank grenade won't do anything to a panzer 4 h. The grenade was actually made to immobilize tanks by destroying the tracks. German tank crews at the time had equipment to deal with fires. The "gas" tank you speak of is hidden inside the tank behind thick armor. No way that's happening
@@eugen2408 That was a normal "potato masher" grenade, not a Panzerfaust, Panzerschreck or a bundle of grenades (as the other soldier suggested). It doesn't erupt into flames on impact.

Tank battle is just as realistic as "Fury" or "My Way" but still entertaining.

Fury does not pretend to be a historical film nor does it claim it, said by the director himself in the "extras", just a reflection of the hell lived by the crews of the Allied tanks.
The scene of the combat against the Tiger is made this way by the director. He himself explains that if the German tank had fired at the first Sherman, the protagonist of the film would have died and the film was over, so he decided to take an artistic license.

The guy says you need to tie three grenades together to kill a tank hut he killed a tank with one grenade earlier.
That was a funny kill, the grenade burst into flames, more like a Molotov cocktail. A grenade exploding near the turret wouldn't have done much damage, especially on a Panzer IV H protected by its "skirts".

When I first started watching these types of movies such as Stalingrad (latest version) I use to think that the USSR was well trained and equipped as the Germans that was of course until I started studying.
it was so, read the memoirs of German soldiers. they wrote that the Russians are much better armed and trained than the Germans.
and add to this their madness and courage.

Well, folks, I think everybody has the right to make their own opinion about different War related movies whether they are based on an actual event or not. Some do get a bit carried away of course and make uneducated assumptions about combat conditions during those times. I do not by any means want to upset or direct my next observations at anybody in particular here at all. Think about this though "a movie is just a story, that's it " It may be loosely based on actual war conditions during that time. So they will stretch the scenes to suit their story. It's not meant to be accurate. As I say we are all able to say what we want about any of these things. But here it comes ......... I served as a combat soldier for 8 years ..... we who have actualy been in combat read the feedback . It's ok with some of the stuff there , but there's always a few who make us wonder why went back time by time. Anyway as I said we all have the Freedom of speech Have good night guys/ ladies God bless

The film claims to be based on a "real" story, in which a KV-1 destroys 16 tanks, 8 armored vehicles and 8 more other vehicles. Considering that the crew inside a KV-1 was blind like a mole, the tank itself unreliable and not very mobile, its very hard to belief. And the soviet propaganda came up with the wildest stories at this time so you shouldn't take the whole film with only a grain of salt, but with a whole truckload of salt.
This doesn't mean, that the german propganda wasn't able to craft similar stories.
Also the Panzer IV Ausf. H saw battle first in 1943, the film takes place in 1942.
It could be an ausf. G but the armoured skirts are not historically accurate. T-34/85's in 1942 are the worst part.

Basic war movie bullshit. 90% of films have the same foolishness and only about 1% get it anywhere near right. Main problem is the same as with true reality TV (which doesn't exist for a reason), if you show it like it really is it does not look cool and entertaining at all, and to a viewer used to mainstream war movies it will even look slightly ridiculous and unbelievable.

Your United European armies are advancing, ignoring the losses, squeezing out our army from the standpoint with tons of iron and rivers of Nazi blood. Crazy fckd nazi hordes. And when your people ran out, you lost.

Very careless of the Germans to leave large amounts of explosives lying around on their tanks in a combat situation, where they can be easily touched off by nothing more than a potato masher grenade. Extremely un-german-like sloppiness there.
