    As a Polynesian, I love Panipopo. Unfortunately, I’m not skilled to make the dough from scratch, but heard people have been using these rolls. For over a year, I have been watching many videos of people making this. I was trying to find that ONE video that says to me, This is it! Your video did just that!! The other videos used the same rolls, but none of theirs looked like yours. Your Panipopo looks absolutely amazing and delicious. I can’t same the same for the other videos I watched. When I started salivating when you brought them out of the oven, I knew I finally found the video I’ve been looking for. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!!

    As someone who this year just learnt to make my own dough for panipopo from watching a lot of youtube videos on bread making mainly from Chinese tubers, I will definitely try this. I have wondered about using this frozen dough many times, when I had craving for panipopo, and you have shown me it can be done. Certainly looks good, except I use coconut cream on mine.

    It tastes a lot better if you make the dough from scratch and that's how it's originally made. Use coconut cream instead of milk and use 1/2 cup sugar. A full cup of sugar will make it too sweet. Don't crowd your buns or else most of the coconut cream will just sit on top and your buns will then be too dry 👍

    I'd like to make these but here is my confusion. You used coconut milk, legible in video to read on can, you stated in recipe ingredients it is coconut milk but then in the comments section, michael passmore passmore says he uses coconut CREAM and you stated "You're absolutely right Michael! Somehow I typed milk in the description by mistake. Thanks for catching it! 😉" Well, I saw what you used - MILK - but did you use the wrong ingredient in making this?

    • @OfficialCookingwithMaryann
      @OfficialCookingwithMaryann  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Yes, I did use coconut milk. My mistake was that I happened to make a few coconut based recipes back-to-back and answered his comment before registering it was the wrong one I was thinking. I also thought I had deleted my comment to Michael when I realized I'd mixed them up, so I'd better check that too. Sorry for the confusion! If you do try it out, let me know how it turns out for you! 🙏👍🏻

    Also when shopping for coconut cream at the supermarket always shake the tin very well before buying it, because you will cut out one of your steps by mixing the coconut cream., always buy coconut cream where you can hear the coconut cream slotting around in the tin...😀😀😀😀 This is the best and thick coconut cream for making coconut rolls Kara Coconut Cream 1L they are yummy but bad for your hips 🤣🤣🤣🤣
