      Awwww. One of the best things to do is get your baby some toys to play with just when you are gone. That will give them something to look forward to. Also, get the cameras so you can check in on them. That will give you peace of mind.

    If I leave my kitten alone for 8 hours ?
    Is it okay?
    For remaining 16 hours I will be with her...

      She should be as long as you have kitten-proofed your home or the room she is going to be in.
      Here is a video that will help with that: th-cam.com/video/Z5b9-5i_-Sw/w-d-xo.html
      Just know she might be a little sad that you are gone and need to play when you do get home to get out some of that kitten energy. :)

    Hello, My house has 4 floors, and I don’t know if I shoul let my kitten free around the house, or in only one room because of the stairs. There are these stairs protection for babies and pets but my mom doesn’t want these in every stairs.

    • @ThatCatMommy
      @ThatCatMommy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Start small in one place and gradually open up other areas. Make sure they are comfortable and know where the litter box is before moving on to another area. Usually, they will let you know when they are ready. It is when they start trying to get out of wherever they are and want to start exploring other areas. Also with multiple floors, you need litter boxes on all of them if possible. ❤

    I'm worried because I'm thinking of getting a kitten but I go outside with my family and the house is empty on weekends. Can you tell me what to do?

    • @ThatCatMommy
      @ThatCatMommy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wouldn't recommend leaving a kitten for the weekend. 😥 You could either pay a pet sitter to stay with it or you could teach it to be a travel cat and take it with you. That is what we are doing with our little ones. That way we can just take them with us. Hope that helps. ❤

    Hey I have a huge issue, so I'm 15 and live with my VERY strict parents, we are travelling for one week and my dad said there was NO way we're gonna be taking my cat with us, and even worst, my mom jumped in and was like, '' I'm not leaving a cat in my house for an entire week, what if he gets poop on him and spreads it all over the house!! We're gonna lock him in the bathroom and put food in there ''
    And I was like "mom that's ridiculous", and she started yelling at me, I'm very upset that my cat has to stay for an entire week locked in a small bathroom, and I'm scared he will run out of food or water, and I personally struggle with depression and my worst nightmare it's my cat getting depressed, and I'm afraid he'll think that we abandoned him and he will probably get really depressed and feel trapped inside of the bathroom.
    Please I need advice on how to convince my parents to take him with us or at least let him free inside of the house.
    Or maybe just some tips

    • @ThatCatMommy
      @ThatCatMommy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no I am so sorry. Hopefully, you can sit down and talk with your parents and work something out. Maybe ask if the cat could stay in your room or tell them you would be willing to clean up any mess the cat left behind if they allowed it to stay in the whole house. Also maybe you could have a relative or someone the family trust come over and check on the house and the cat while you were gone. They could change the litter box and make sure the cat has food and clean water. Sending you good vibes and well wishes for you and your kitty. ❤️

      Why not take kitty with you? We have backpacks and strollers for ours so they can go with us outside. I have ADHD and my little ones bring me so much comfort. Definitely think about it but just know kittens are super playful and full of energy. But talking them with you on walks would help with that.

    Hi there. I need to ask. Is it okay for me to leave my kitten in my bedroom the whole day with all the necessities? She's alone and quite active. 🤣

    • @ThatCatMommy
      @ThatCatMommy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would depend on the size of the room, room set up, and the kitty. If your kitty is super active it would need to run and climb to burn that out or it could end up messing something up in your room. Defiantly get a camera so you can see how the kitty reacts and make adjustments where you need to.

    • @ThatCatMommy
      @ThatCatMommy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sure the kitty will miss you but as long as you spend some time with him/her daily it should be ok for a little while. However little kittens need lots of attention and without you there to entertain them they may destroy stuff. I would definitely get a camera to watch him/her as that will for sure make you feel better.
