E-Z Mender comes in two sizes in Australia to suit a 90mm or 75mm post. Please contact our Engineering department for further recommendations and options.
Adding concrete around the base of the post will help reinforce the post. This is recommended but not compulsory. It depends on the condition of the post.
I hate to bother you, but I'm having a hard time finding the exact size of StrongDrive screws that will fit into the holes. I couldn't find ones small enough at the store. Thanks.
No worries, we are here to help. You can use either Strong-Drive SD Connector Screw (SD9112R100 - #9 x 38mm), SCN Smooth Shank Connector Nail (N10DHDG-R - 38 x 3.75mm Nails) or other equivalent 9 gauge screws or 4mm nails. Hope that helps. Otherwise, feel free to reach out to our customer service team.
As the post is badly damaged, and could fall over on either side of the fence, we recommend using pairs on both sides - outside and inside of the fence.
Thanks for the video. I bought the product but it looks like my post is 4.25 inches vs the 4 inches this product comes in. Any suggestions?

@@SimpsonStrongTieAustralia You rock. This will save me 8 thousand dollars!!!
I thought you are supposed to install the E-Z Mender on the sides of the fence posts (not the front in this video)?

do you need 1 or a pair to fix 1 post ?
Hi Tony, It can be installed individually or in pairs. Check your local Building Department for any applicable code requirements.
Do they make those for a round post?
Sorry Dennie, the E-Z Mender does not suit round posts.
Where can I buy this material E-Z Mender please
Hi Ghenet! For your nearest distributor, please visit strongtie.com.au/where-buy
@@SimpsonStrongTieAustralia does it come in different sizes? Bunnings only have a 90mm unit
@@KevsGuide there are two sizes - 90mm or 75mm post. See more info here strongtie.com.au/products/e-z-mender-timber-fence-post-repair-bracket
Better off cutting a stake from a 2x4 answer hammering that down a foot or 18 inches, then screwing to the post.
