    • @sha11235
      @sha11235 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, what happened was the X rating was changed to NC-17 that very fall (1990) to erase the stain of the X. Now, that was a step in the correct direction, the problem was that everyone ran away from it. If newspapers had allowed to advertise NC-17 films, theaters been allowed by their leases to show NC-17 films, and big studios allowed directors to make NC-17 films, it would've been okay. But they didn't do that.

    Young Guns II didn't tell you about Billy The Kid because it wasn't supposed to be a documentary.
    Metropolitan. They are a very self absorbed group of kids and quite unpleasant.
    I must watch China Town and The Two Jake's again.

      Whit Stillman is a good director; Barcelona was a better follow-up to Metropolitan.
      The Two Jakes was okay but not great. Too gassy with several scenes that should have been cut to pick up the pace.

    Again they didn't quite get the movies they reviewed Flatliners was and still is an amazing film forget the sequel/remake whatever it is it's a mess but the original was amazing still at least Roger got it more than Gene but what else was he expecting with the Kiefer Sutherland story with him feeling guilty for killing Billy Mahoney and trying to right his wrong as Billy was kicking the crap out of him anyway so he needed to do something and what did he want from the ending i mean if the recent remake/sequel couldn't produce an amazing life enlightening ending this certainly couldn't but i thought all the story's were good with all the characters getting to right their wrongs also Young Guns 2 while not as good as the first was still decent and The Two Jakes was also incredible

    Hollywood made a remake of flatliners. I don't know why I'm remake was made of that movie that movie was not all that great yet they made a remake of it start raining that Ellie girl I don't know why she's really not that great of an actress either

      Lots of people didn't like it. Amazing that Siskel and Ebert praised it. They also did it as a video pick when it came to video months later. I could see what they were talking about. Too bad they never put this on a Buried Treasures show.

      TheWholeYearInn It really has nothing to do with Chinatown, other than the same character. At least I can't remember it ruining the character. It wasn't worth me remembering obviously, so I'm going to check it out again. It's far from a Chinatown level picture though, I remember that.

    Teenagers do the same things at the same time all over the country. I remember in high school I couldn’t wait to go somewhere else where kids didn’t just drag the streets, so I went to my aunts in Las Vegas, and she let me drive her car and guess what the kids were doing in downtown Vegas. DRAGGING THE DAMN STREET LOL 😅
