HOW TO STRIP AND SAND WOOD floors STAIRS handrails NO DUST dustless removal of old stain finish DIY

How to strip wood floors and stairs without tons of sawdust. This is how we remove / strip the stain and finish with Klean Strip. We used this product on a staircase in the video. We were able to strip the stain off the steps and rails without creating a lot of unnecessary sawdust. We do however show how we did a light sanding once all the stripping was done. Question.
If you're a flooring contractor.
Wouldn't it be easier, much much faster, and less work to just use an edger machine to sand all the treads?
That's what I use on all stair tread jobs.
Then finish them off with the palm sander?

Wish I had seen this sooner, I didn't know stain could be stripped. I recently removed carpet from my stairs and the oak underneath was only stained half way in from each side. I sanded it all off and it took freaking 12 hours of sanding! I tented the whole thing and wore a good 3M cartridge mask for the dust problem. The thing that really sucks with sanding on oak is you have to use such a low grit like 60 to start with, then you have to work all the way back up to 150 from there so you wind up sanding the whole thing 5 or 6 times!
