  • The Osaka Castle is among the most visited attractions in Osaka and one of the most well-known Japanese castles. Definitely, a place to include in your itinerary when you visit Osaka, Japan. Also, take some time to enjoy Osaka Castle Park. You get amazing city views!
From the castle, we head to Umeda district, in Kita. We stop at Osaka station city and have a picnic at the rooftop, then walk to Osaka Umeda Sky Building for a really nice experience going up the highest escalator in the world. All for another Osaka city view. It's worth it!

    ► WHO AM I?
Short answer: I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
Detailed answer: • How we afford to trave... 😉
P.S.: The guy who occasionally appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and is extremely camera shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ;-)

I forgot to mention in the vlog that those escalators at 10:05 are the world's highest escalators! 😱😱😱 That's really cool!! 😁😁😁. Edit: And thanks to Peter Raccoon for pointing out in the comments that the Nagoya Castle was not built by Oda Nobunaga. There might have been a mistake in the translation where I read the info or I got it wrong using Google Translate 😕. My bad!

In 1994, when I was last visiting Osaka-jo there was no elevator up to the entrance of Hideoshi's castle. Much less crowded on the day I went. Osaka-koan was my favorite place to visit. I spent 1 month in '93 & 1 month in '94 there and stayed with a friend who was working as a nightclub entertainer. One week after I left to return to California they had the Kobe quake. I was staying in an apartment next to the Hanshin freeway and I used to think it was so strongly built nothing could damage it. After the quake it tipped over. I saw pictures my friend has sent me. Incredible!

Hideyoshi Toyotomi is the person who turn Osaka into the economic capital just before the Edo era.
Current Osaka castle is a conclete example of a conclete castle established by people's donation.
Toyotomi's castle was replaced by Tokugawa (who established Edo era). Tokugawa's original castle was burned in the Boshin war (in the very end of Tokugawa era).

First, Hideyoshi Toyotomi built Osaka Castle, but due to a domestic battle, the castle was burned down by Tokugawa clan. Then, Tokugawa clan rebuilt another Osaka Castle. This replica’s model is Tokugawa clan’s one. Nagoya Castle was also built by Tokugawa clan, so both castles are very similar.

Renata. That's d reason I left KLCC to join a Malaysian government investment agency which have centres all around d world. After holidaying in Spain, I knew what I wanted. In Europe alone, d agency has 5 offices. But instead, they sent me to a new office in Mumbai. For 3 years, I was exposed to air, water n noise pollutions. Take a walk along the shady alleys of the Sochi arboretum, from where you can go down to the sea by funicular. The Imereti Embankment will be a great place for walking at any time of the day, and the palm alley in Imereti Bay will add color to your photos.
Going to the Vorontsov caves, to the cave of the Witches or to the Tiger Cave, do not forget to take warm clothes. The air temperature is within 10-12 ° C.
If you managed to see all the main attractions in Sochi, go to Krasnaya Polyana, firstly, admire the Caucasus Mountains from the cable car and register at Rosa Peak, and secondly, explore Yeti Park and the Shishin-Dvor ethnic farm. Rosa Khutor has a small beach where you can cool off in hot weather.
Matsesta resort is a great place for healing the body. Here is a balneological complex with healing springs. Many come to Matsesta with a guided tour to get acquainted with the history of the resort and collect healing mineral water. Excuse me, ma'am.
Nagoya castle was originally built by IMAGAWA Ujichika, father of IMAGAWA Yoshimoto.
After ODA Nobuhide, father of ODA Nobunaga, deprived Imagawas of the castle with a battle, Nobunaga lived there as a lord in his early days.
The original castle was abandoned after Nobunaga moved to Gifu castle.
After several decades, TOKUGAWA Ieyasu, the founder of Tokugawa shogunate (Bakufu) rebuilt the Nagoya castle in 1609 A.D. at the site of original castle.
