Thks looks like it would have been ok if the animation was smoother, didn't look like it's in slo mo, and had writers who weren't on crack. I mean, look at the first contra, how much of a story did it have? Basically nothing, aside from what you read in the manual. The tone is not nearly dark or creepy enough, just imagine the possibilities with modern lighting and sound. Such waste

The story is utter trash. And holy elliptic curve difficulty. From childs play to nintendohard in 0.23 seconds outta no where. Seems like it tried to stay true to the original's spirit, as much as one could on a wii. So give them credit where due. And the music is sweet, natch.

Like some of the boss music from Sega's Contra Hard Corp.. which if you never played before YOU MUST.... but I didnt know Che Guavara was World Galactic President... must be some communists and socialists running Konami there that are all going to vote for Bernie Sanders. In many ways, this game is much better than the SNES version (contra 3) and is right up there with Contra Hard Corp for the Sega Genesis in terms of bosses... level design... visuals and such. Its a shame SNES ended up with such a rotten piece of shit back in the day.

It's meant to be a callback mostly to Contra 3 which means revisiting alot of the same conventions but in a slightly different way with vastly improved animations and effects with the same gameplay from the 16-bit classic, get lost it's people like you that'll prevent us from ever getting another Contra game.
