- A short video I made for my Gr. 9 French class. Go easy on my grammar! I was but a wee babe.
We had a week to memorize all the Vandertramp verbs, and then recite them without a reference... he mentioned that we got bonus points if we did in song. This bad boy got me 110%. :)

Une fois j'étais en traîne d'assoir dans un parc un beau dimanche, quand une vielle madame avec un grand sourire m'a joint sur le banc.
Elle a dit, "Bonjour, comment ça va?" J'ai dit, "Bien, mais qui es-tu?" Quand elle a dit Mrs. Vandertramp. J'ai ri et répondu, "Mrs. Vandertramp, c'est un nom étrange! Alors, qu'est-ce que ça veut dire?" Elle m'a regardé, et elle m'a répondu avec son gros sourire.

Imagine a room full of children singing your song from memory. This has helped immensely in making something kind of boring like the 17 auxiliary être verbs of the passé composé come to life for these children! It's called stopmotion. You take a picture, move the lego person slightly, take another, etc. It's very tedious work but it pays off.

House verbs all take Être in the passé composé and all the other compound tenses. There are 16, and are exactly the ones sung in this video. Not badly done, though the accent could be better.....

It's really funny I watched it in school they are the verbs that are pass tense in French that are not like I ate, In French (Dans le français) C'est tres drôle j'ai regardé dans mon école, C'est les verbes qui est pásse composé dans le français et C'est ne pas comme j'ai mangé.
