As the boy would begin to take his bows..the rope would fall from the sky into a heap on the ground. I would love to see someone repeat this version of legend!!

The bottom of the basket has a hole in the centre. There is a plastic pipe pushed up from underground. Did you notice the band at the top closing the hollow rope and the assistant carefully concealed the bottom so you cannot see it is hollow and open on the bottom.
You keep an eye on the assistance guy ,he removes the yellow dish powder,which cover the hole on ground ,then he slides the basket that hole,the second rope alredy from the ground,it cover the crank inside push up by air mechanic

I agree. And I've read in the original version the boy climbs up the rope and vanishes at the top. I guess you can't film hypnosis. I do believe hypnosis is involved.

Then the pipe is removed giving the impression of rope becoming flexible once more! Very easy trick and all the rest is nonsense!

Someone puts the parts in the basket and puts the lid on with a wave the boy comes out of basket whole once again . and then at end the ropes drops
At time 5:20 to 6:03... the magician shows the rope.... Carefully see the two edges of the rope.... This is completely different rope which raised .... At the time 8:50 when rope comes down abiding by the command of magician ...... One edge looks little same but the another edge is completely different .... One of his assistants hold that different looking edge with his left palm to cover the hole of the rope. That was a different hollow rope .... From underground chamber one of his assistants raises the rope which is ready made, that means that rope was ready earlier by putting a hard stic or metal rod through the hollow rope. The magician shows the first rope and keeps it inside the basket. This rope is there in the basket or pulled in to the underground chamber. Basket has a hole with cover in the center bottom of it. From this hole his assistant raises a new rope consisting metal rod or a hard long stick. Please carefully see the timings mentioned here... trick will be revealed. Regards
Still it it very hard for man in celler to raise and hold still a 15feet long rod with 50kg wt. On end.....i feel it is being raised with invisible /transparent wire tied on one hand, powder sprinkled to cover that snapping on order.

പത്തുവർഷം മുൻപ് മജീഷ്യൻ ശ്രീ.ഗോപിനാഥ് മുതുകാടിനോട് ഇക്കാര്യം പ്രത്യേകം സംസാരിച്ചതിൽ , നടത്തിപ്പ് സാധ്യതയെപ്പറ്റി കൃത്യമായ മറുപടി അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞില്ല. ഇതേ സമയത്ത് ഈ മായാജാലാ വിദ്യയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ ഡബിൾ റോളായി അഭിനയിച്ച് ഒരു ഫീച്ചർ സിനിമയുടെ കഥ ശ്രീ.മമ്മൂട്ടിയോട് സംസാരിച്ചതിൽ , രാത്രി ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ പ്രത്യേക താൽപര്യപൂർവ്വം സംസാരിച്ച് , നിലവിലെ ആറോളം കരാറായ പ്രൊജക്ടുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഈ സിനിമ ചെയ്യാൻ അദ്ദേഹം സമ്മതിച്ചിരുന്നു. സിനിമാ പ്രൊജക്ട് അല്പം വൈകിയെങ്കിലും തയ്യാറാക്കാനുള്ള ഊർജ്ജിത ശ്രമങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നു.

its not bad performance of this illusion I still think its funny even in India its 6 minutes of dancing around to a 4 minute illusion . if it is so that this is the true performance of the famous India rope of legion then the story have been over done as story goes the boy climbs the rope as the magician follows him up there with a knife he cuts the young boy to pieces dropping the parts the to earth. Someone puts the parts in the basket and puts the lid on with a wave the boy comes out of basket whole once again . and then at end the ropes drops

At time 5:20 to 6:03... the magician shows the rope....
Carefully see the two edges of the rope....
This is completely different rope which raised ....
At the time 8:50 when rope comes down abiding by the command of magician ......
One edge looks little same but the another edge is completely different ....
One of his assistants hold that different looking edge with his left palm to cover the hole of the rope.
That was a different hollow rope ....
From underground chamber one of his assistants raises the rope which is ready made, that means that rope was ready earlier by putting a hard stic or metal rod through the hollow rope.
The magician shows the first rope and keeps it inside the basket. This rope is there in the basket or pulled in to the underground chamber. Basket has a hole with cover in the center bottom of it. From this hole his assistant raises a new rope consisting metal rod or a hard long stick.
Please carefully see the timings mentioned here... trick will be revealed.

Still it it very hard for man in celler to raise and hold still a 15feet long rod with 50kg wt. On end.....i feel it is being raised with invisible /transparent wire tied on one hand, powder sprinkled to cover that snapping on order.
