This is only the first part. The Great Indian Rope Trick is said to be bizarre. When the rope is upright , the magician sends his assistant to climb the rope. The assistant boy reaches the top and he vanishes. The magician calls him to come back but the boy does not come. The magician becomes angry and climbs the rope and he also vanishes. Then the spectators here scolding voices from the air. Then the see the body parts of the assistant falling down. When all parts reach the ground the magician appears with a sword which has fresh blood. He declares to the onlookers that he has punished the boy for disobedience. Then the other assistants beg him to bring back the life of the boy. After lot of requests, he collects the body parts and puts inside a basket. Then he calls the boy. Then bingo! The boy comes from the crowd smiling.
This is the ultimate rope trick described in ancient books. But there is no record of anyone performing it in the modern times

The advanced version you mentioned not without a helicopter above to pull, a crane and paid crowd. Also fake body parts filled with chicken blood. Even David Copperfield hardly will pull it off on open daylight outdoor scene. Do you know how high has to be the rope to disappear from sight? At least 5 kilometers on sunny day. If is in pitch dark night then probably. And back the audience didn't have binoculars, high zoom camcorders even eyesight was not as good. But still 1 km of rope at bare minimum.

You people are missing the essence of this show.. it's easy to play the video slow and try to figure out mistakes or the secret. But seeing it live is a splendid affair.. the awe we get is awesome.. that's the beauty of this art.

Some people find more interest in the how rather than the actual thing. Pro wrestling got vastly more interesting once I realised it was staged. Like I know I saw that man get thrown off a stage through a table. It became more interesting to learn how its accomplished to me.

Analyisis: A hollow "rope" has a rod inserted into it from a hidden underground chamber giving it rigidity for the boy to climb it. At the end of the performance, it is rapidly withdrawn, giving the impression that the "rope" goes "limp"
1:24 assistant removes flower arrangement that conceals hole in ground
1:38 brief glimpse of "dark" end of "rope" possibly revealing that it is hose
1:39 "Rope" actually exhibits kinematic behavior similar to what we are all familiar with as corrugated "vacuum" hose. Appears to be covered by a sisal, or hemp wrapping.
2:10 See reinforcement as lighter color wrap on closed end of "rope" to prevent rod from poking through, dropping boy.
2:43 assistant carefully coils rope into basket with open end LAST, then brief manipulation in basket, presumably feeding it to underground assistant, or starting it on lift rod.
6:28 Notice performer grasps "rope" and his hand is tugged downward as the rod is quickly withdrawn.

Those who seeking answer to this: There's a another guy right below the basket watch carefully how his assistant keeps that basket right at one particular location at 1:23 while magician is keeping audiences busy and then assistant also takes out the stone which is actually covered the hole right below the basket he places and then he also open the flip behind the basket. There's 2 different rope. 1st Rope which Magician demonstrated is been replaced at the 2:38 look how his assistant is placing it very precise at the small hole behind the basket. The at the basement (Underground assistant) 2nd rope which has a iron rod inside which makes it stiff and then when magician is shaking the sword he screams loudly and then that assistant who is in basment pulls the iron rod and rope loses the stiffness. There are two more different tricks can be done to perform the same task is using magnet and iron chain inside the rope which was old trick. There's nothing magic but all tricks. If you like my comment subscribe my channel as I reveal many things on my channel too lol.

If anyone was wondering, theres a trapdoor under the basket as you can see at 1:25 when one of the assistants were fiddling with it. For the people asking how the rope stiffens, its likewise some sort of tube that they put a rod into during the time the magician has spent parading around

    • @enbinzheng952
      @enbinzheng952 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

There is a mechanism under the basket. I guess a team is completing the magic. Someone prepared a secret passage at the place where the basket was put. Someone made the rope hard through the secret passage. For example, add a bamboo rod inside the rope.

This is for me, the most amazing part.

It´s been 8 years since my previous comment. Times really flies !.
      Isn´t it ?.
You're right about what you tell !. There is some kind of *pipe* or something rigid that goes at the inside of this rope. No question about that !.
That is why the magician have *to take with his hand the rope* at 6:28 in order to allow the pipe can run down fast enough into the hole placed under the basket (look closely at 1:24 to 1:28). This part of the trick is performed by an assistant located in a hole in the ground beneath the basket, made the day before the show.

Contrary to what everyone is thinking, there is probably no person under the ground. That would take a lot of tunnel digging hard to hide from the locals. Back in ancient times, it was probably done with a person underneath, but modern technology allows this to be done with a telescoping rod and a simple motor with only a modest amount of digging needed to cover the apparatus up.

There are two different ropes. The rope he shows everyone it placed in the pot. Notice how after the trick the no one examines the rope to see if it's he same?
As the person climbs up the rope notice how bends and leans as there's a metal pole inside the "other" rope. Once the climber lets go of the rope the pole inside straighteners out.
To make the rope fall at the end, the pole inside falls into a hole in the ground.
    It's a nice trick.

The rope is an empty tube, the basket is placed on the top cover of a 4' empty hole. The assistant hidden underneath opens the bottom cover of the basket and sticks a rod inside the empty rope. The rod is like the (photo) selfie rod which can be shortened or extended (by twisted & locked the cross sections). Audiences are not allowed to examine the spot where the basket is put on.

There is also a powerful magnetic nozzle which pulls the other nozzle hidden on one end of the rope & starts pumping air. Great!. But I'm in search of such a magic which can't be explained. My thoughts. There are 2 ropes. The one he coils in the basket to make space for the second which comes up through the trap door. The second pole is pushed up to its max and then supported. After the boy comes down, the magician stabilises it with his hand while the assistant underneath removes the support allowing the inner pole to drop out from the rope as soon as the magivian loosens his grip. Wonderful effect!

That's an easy question; magic doesn't exist but the biggest trick is to fool our brains. It's very easy to fool our brain!
And geniuses peoples do it very well ! Many people can't think for themselves and that makes it very easy for the magician.
Always try to be critical and doubt everything people want to tell or show you. Rational thinking is also an art or a gift.....
You have three kinds of people; the first kind must learn it, the second kind has it in its blood or DNA and the third will never learn it.
But use the internet, then you will always find an explanation somewhere how they fool us.

Plot: there's an assistant deep in the hole that controlled the metal rod and in which he swift removed only the metal rod later on which make the rope collapsed it is only logical explanation to this trick.

@@sutheesh0534 It is a telescope that is in the cavity of the second rope. The device under the basket is not large and therefore does not guarantee good stability. Children can climb a maximum of 1/3 of the total height. The rapid insertion of the electrically operated telescope, which presses only on the closed top of the rope, creates the illusion that the rope will "soften". The problem is that it is not possible to hide the first right rope, so the magic ends at this point only by closing the lid. It would be good to solve this. It would also be good to find a better solution by placing the basket over the hole that was originally covered by the brick, so that spectators do not see the hole and so that the sand cannot get into the device. These are the little things that spoil the magical illusion.
