This was my first war, I chose Warden, and started to regret it because it felt like we were getting beaten. I was away for a vacation, and came back to see the Wardens had surged and taken victory. Just incredible, and Im sad I missed it.
The Navy and the Warden cheaters who dual accounted for 40 days driving tanks into the ocean and emptying out our stockpiles and screenshotting our bunker tech. Nobody mentions that anywhere but it made several of my friends including me uninstall permanently. Still enjoy the vids but the reality of the game is a lot different...
@@Johnjohnthejohn Bruh, I literally have footage of Collie alts driving our outlaws off of docks. Alt accounts are awful and exist in both factions. But we didn't win because of a couple asshats ruining the game.
Man, I understand why but this vid glosses over so many important moments. One thing I really want to shout out as a warden player was the silk road. The silk road was a player made logisitics road from the fingers that conneced to reavers pass. The road utilized two player made pier bridges to bridge the gap between the mainland in fingers and the large middle island that extends into reavers pass. The bridge on the fingers side was called Bridge Al Gaib and the second bridge on the reavers pass side was called The New York Bridge. A gigantic player made provisional road connected the bridges through the border crossing. This road was maintained kept up even through the rapid decay zone near the border by constant work from very busy logi players. This player made logi route saw as much traffic as any major logi road on the main land. Frankly, the logistical efforts to support the reavers pass push was nothing like I have ever seen in this game before. great vid.
So these war summaries are only as good as the reports I get from other players ya know? I would love more stories like this and more logistic stories I could add to each war summary. Would have loved a segment about the logistics for reavers pass in this video. Thanks for sharing that and the kind words!
Idk if we had fun shelling the same hex for two weeks, but yeah sure the landing on fingers was fun. It was less LARP than people think lol, easily never has been more coordinnated and complex operations on this game
I play warden as a part of a small vet regi. None of us were playing until your video talking about wardens just not fighting. We went: 'Warden's aren't showing up? Bet.' We fired over 3000 150mm and supplied ammo to multiple battleships and participated on the western push and multiple landings. Thanks for bringing us into this epic war Robert!
Eyyy the armored car mentioned at 3 minutes was me and a friend! We weren't very helpful lol, it was his first time using a vehicle and I wasn't very experienced either. We did manage to get a decent few infantry kills and make it a bit harder for some to advance, but as our troops fell back we ended up getting trapped by our own guys placing landmines behind us. Was a fun time though! My group got a ton more experience with vehicles throughout the war, I think we were pretty good at it by the end
The War Summaries that you do have been awesome. I wouldn't change anything. This war was a lot of fun to fight in. My regiment went Warden and we were expecting it to be a short one, much like 116. But the Wardens and community had other ideas. What was supposed to be our own little break, turned into us doing more than we first thought. Especially myself supplying Tuatha and Breakwater with loaded tanks via Iron Ships and some vets even mentioning that they themselves never knew you could load a fully loaded tank on the ships. Had a lot of fun that war.
I've been a long time Warden logi player in Foxhole but this war was unlike anything I've ever seen. Me and the other SSA players started off in Stonecradle but we quickly had to abandon our traditional home hex, and my bar in Buckler Sound, because of the deteriorating situation there on day one. We ended up in Callum's Keep for the next two weeks, churning out supplies for the surrounding fights in Stonecradle and The Moors. I think it first dawned on me that this war was going to be different around day 10-13 when all of a sudden it felt like Warden resolve stiffened up. I wasn't sure that we could win, but I was confident that we weren't going to just let the Colonials roll over us. Around the time that a nuke was targeting Ogmaran, we decided to shift some of our operations out Isawa in Godcrofts as an insurance policy. I think in our minds we were worried that once Ogmaran was cracked open the Colonials would swarm over the backline areas and that would be that, we just wanted a place to do logi in peace. At this time I still viewed the naval invasions as an interesting idea but I never could have imagined that the landings in The Fingers would have gone as successfully as they did in the end. After The Old Captain was up and running for a few days, I took some of our gear from Isawa down there to set up our third operation. By this point we were spread out in three hex's doing logi which was a lot for a small group like ours but it honestly made it all the more fun. Most of my last few days in the war were spent manufacturing in Old Captain to try to help resupply the pushes into Reavers and Terminus. I ended the war as part of the push into Origin, having to run supplies down from Longstone in Westgate just to get into the fight. I was part of the crew of a couple of large ships that were shelling Initium before I finally joined the ground invasion to help take the town hall. Once the war was won, both Colonials and Wardens just stood around the town hall in Initium talking, congratulating each other on fighting the good fight. It was a great way to end one of the most amazing wars I've ever been a part of. Hats off to everyone who took part in this war, be you Warden or Colonial, you all fought the good fight no matter what. SSA and myself are all on break for 118 but we'll see you all in 119. Stop by the bar in Buckler Sound, I swear the drinks aren't irradiated!
Greetings from SCUM, I remember how we first tried to secure Fisherman's Row in day 1. A few weeks later, we were trying to take Stema with all we had, not to mention all the other regiments that worked together. There are literally too many regiments to name! In the end, we made it to Fingers and Reavers. Great video, but I hoped to see the Silk Road too. It was a handmade logi road that essentially established land connection to Reaver's Pass, Breakwater. It consisted of 2 navy pier bridges and one gravel road.

Althought Foxcatcher nuke deinal is such a good success from the Colonial, this massive operations rally also pull some of the regi away from the west and mid lane, result in a stall in Callahan's passage. This little time of breath gave wardens time to finish the defense reinforcement, and stopped Colonial push further north since
Edit: Oh shit that 150mm barrage from Scarp was us! We made it bros! Shoutout to "Ass Arty" squad. I can't believe we got the relic so low! What a tense battle. Wardens did a great job defending! Absolutely insane levels of confidence among the collies through the first half of the war. I remember at the end of week 1 people saying in global chat that we were gonna end this war as quickly as possible. Man, the absolute turn around. Loads of salt in the global text and even some upset local voice chat veterans complaining about "new players" this and "logi" that. Luckily, the cry babies were in minority. Despite slowly being grinded down into a loss, I still saw day after day veteran collie players helping new guys learn the ropes of frontline and logi combat. My favorite moment from this war was meeting some dudes who wanted to run a mortar team. We did that for the night, and the next day set up a position on a different front line, now with 150's. We kept recruiting and recruiting until there were dedicated logi guys in the squad gathering shells for the endless bombardment. We spent over 3,000 150mm shells during one 3 hour battle. Shit was cash
Fort of Rime of mentioned. I’m almost sad that the defenses at Rime never got truly tested. Anytime the Collies got close the Wardens shelled the holy Christ out of them with batteries presighted on Hoarfrost. 10th built the batteries up, built ammo facs on the batteries, and then constructed AI howies to discourage counter battery. Anytime the Collies got close it was just like “Shatter their sky!”
There is one other unsung battle near the end of the war… The battle for Salt Farms! It was by far the most intense battle ive ever seen in foxhole, and it wasn’t even over a victory point lol, ggs to all the wardens and collies who fought there and to the mass of stolen collie ballistas used to break the concrete fortress that was Salt Farms!
As a member of the 6th marine regiment we give everything to this war, countless of frigate operations not only on the sea but in the rivers. when we didn't had any ship operation we focused on logi and some special tank operations here and there alongside CSU. big shotout to every CSU regiment who fought in the East part of the map and never let it fall. Also good job to the collies, i'm sure you lads are thirsty for revenge. war 119 will be a update war, we will all see eachother on the battlefield once again!

I think i did like 450k damage with flasks there XD their confidence with the big lines of tanks was extreme, and their flanks... deserted all the war XD
It would be great if you could include submissions from people showing crucial battles, like the foxcatcher nuke battle. Maybe ~30 secs per submission and maybe the one submitting it could edit it for less headache on your end. The most crucial battles like fingers invasion, rime defence, and foxcatcher nuke kill were so major they deserve a segment of footage. Other than that great vid overall. The submissions would help to break the video up and capture some of the mindboggling madness of what happened.
The most fun I had this war was when everyone else was pushing into Foxcatcher. Me and HelpingHans were leading a tank rush to take the mox and start pushing into vipers pit. I got to fill out more of these after war details. Amazing video as always rob
Also I am a Warden and was there defending Foxcatcher during that Collie op, it was tense! My adrenaline was pumping high. Although we lost the nuke, we did not lose Foxcatcher and the refinery. After that, we did a good job keeping you guys away from Fox and eventually totally rebuilt our conc defenses.

117 was my first war, started off as a colonial and saw that we were winning so I switched teams before the lock happened. Honestly glad I did so, managed to learn pretty much most of the game through endless trial and error against an always pushing enemy. If 118 turns out to be a subjectively bad experience for me in the collie side, ill probably be a warden loyalist forever
Nice! That's awesome to hear! And that's awesome to hear! War 118 is just a strange war overall because the devs are going to artificially end it on November 18th so I wouldn't put to much weight on this war for the Collie side honestly. Most players are taking a break until the update war.

We were furious that our fortification line on Callahans Passage had been wiped out after we had repelled 4 massive Ballista attacks and as attack 5 there was RSC batteri fire. This gave us a momentary moral low. Then the guys from the [82] DK brought us so many resources, twice, that we were on our feet. Thanks for the materials Robert and the [82] DK team! This is a fantastic channel - the quotes are perfect little color and the map and icons help add a feeling of Kings and Generals to this all player run war.
It was my first war. I kept doing solo sabotage raids on the west using any kind of boat possible. They kept driving us back, I kept going further behind the lines, burning back line logistings up, bridges anyhing to slow them down
2:30 That was me, the battle at saltbrook was one of our first disastrous losses on the warden side, im still very surprised the war lasted that long and we were able to come back, after we lost that battle I was sure we would've lost the war, I'm glad everyone kept fighting, best war I've fought in 100%, only war Ive played in that I think can somewhat compare is war 110
I bought the game halfway through the war and joined Wardens Naturally I was immediately thrust into the thick of it haha. I was picked up by SoBs not long after and had lots of fun maintaining a shell fac and public upgrade pads in Reaching Trail right along the border to Moors. Our facility was also the perfect jumping off point for partisan operations into Moors, and 3/4 our parking lot was collie vics by the end of the war :D. We made sure logi into Borderlane was always a hassle, burned down any attempts at getting a frontline fuel fac up at the oilfield near the junction leading up to it and conducted hit and run rocket attacks on Morrighan's Grave and Solas. The lions of Ogmaragrad held off collie attacks on the outskirts of the city for a week before, and even some time after the nuke. This allowed us to conduct a major artillery operation together with local regiments, which smashed open Headstone and unhinged the entire collie defensive line, leading to it's eventual collapse not long after. Better luck next time goblins! GG and thank you for providing me such a perfect introduction to Foxhole!
Wardens paved a player-made road from Second Man, through the Plankhouse finger, back down to Breakwater. The al Gaib and New York bridges, and the Silk Road they were part of, are why we held the region. The naval advantage would've meant little without that crucial link between The Old Captain and the depot in Breakwater. That fire in Terminus is what enabled the rest of the comeback. The fact that I only ever saw one partisan on it was a miracle and testament both. The NY bridge was torn down in the Reaver's counterattack, but whoever got it back up on our second offensive saved the front. Seriously though, it was not at all a steamroll. Shirts were just nowhere in Warden depots. One front going wrong could've collapsed the entire thing. We got lucky trapping a battleship between the Liberation Point and Fort Duncan bridges (and that ATRs should probably not kill line ships), and that the Collies bled more for the Loch Mor nuke than we did encircling it. Cobalt river in the Deadlands though. It will only make us stronger.
Fighting on the colonial side of this war and capturing most of "The Moors" i genuinely didn't expect the wardens to make such a comeback. i remember when i took a small break after we almost entirely took over the moors, and when i came back a few days later, half the map was Blue and Stema Landing was being invaded, and a few days after that the fingers. GJ Wardens for that victory, had fun playing with everyone involved. Also this was my first War 👍
Can't help but feel sad when i don't see 11e being mentioned in the battle of the Fingers when we were the ones doing the landings, operating the Bluefinn and Longhooks aswell as supplying SCUM with all their 150mm and 120mm. While 82DK just came with a fregate to have a piece of the cake. Anyway great video. See you in war 119!
Its the curse of 82DK. If anywhere on any frontline you see any SPG, RSC, SHT or any other valuable target, as long as there is at least one 82DK member in the hex, it is automaticaly contributed by enemy to 82DK until proven otherwise. I still remember when SuperHeavy tanks were implemented, and collonials on reddit reported 8 different destroyed Superheavies to belong to 82DK just because there was one of their infantry guy standing nearby in their screenshots :-D
Colonials give up too easy the second one key point falls and the Wardens start coming back every single front is lost in a day, and the war lost in that same week.
Collies need a morale victory war, where they pass the morale check and go on to win. Y'all need this so bad, if it has happened you need a new one, a recent one to prove to the new players that it can be done. Some hindsight: when you pushed to the western backline regions; RSCs would have ended us there I think. Also when we were pushing south post counter attack some roaming tank squads in the midline regions would have killed so much logi etc... just barge a few tanks behind the lines land at victa maybe? Just go ham in falchions, see what you can get up to.

Having joined HCNS, we often just collected material and stuff to build up the Warden navy. So not too much excitement. I mean, there was always the occasional colonial partisan and submarine trying to breach our hex, but we quickly dealt with that without much problems. However, when we deployed out with our own Battlship, the HCNS Vanguard, heading for the Fingers, we resupplied in Stlican Shelf. There had been no sightings of Colonial ships, so we felt safe but was still weary... And while I was standing against the ammo rack to the forwards 150 mm. turret, a colonial torpedo came out of nowhere and hit the hull directly, and I mean DIRECTLY where my legs were positioned. Short to say, I perished in an instant. I respawned on the ship, nobody else got decimated, and we had to close the front compartment while trying to repair what we could. Short to say, that was a memorable happening for me on that mission. That's for sure.
Warden from Marban Hollow here. The main reason no progress were made first in the beginning of the war was the infamous Bua's Bridge , crossing it from east to west is an almost impossible task as vehicles are confined to a single chokepoint. In the East , men were fighting to push the collies back to the bridge. In the West, men were fighting in hope of finally getting to Maiden's Veil and ending the stalemate. One time on the East we saw 2 BT's and 2 BTDS rushing the bridge from their south base while we were pushing the collies past the bridge , they got blocked because the bridge was down and were taken down with ease. To this my regiment still don't have any clue of why they did such a suicidal move.
Yup, I'm in hward, we tried our best to take maidens for so long, but the Bua bridge is a PAIN, the multiple 90⁰ turns for vehicles to make made doing anything with vehicles on the bridge a pain due to how easily it chokepointed

It's well produced documentaries like this that give me massive nostalgia for those massive moves in games like EVE nearly two decades ago now. Fantastic video and sad that I missed such a historic war.
Amazing Video! I only have one suggestion for future war breakdowns like this: you covered a ton of territory changes but little about more strategic victories. For instance in the Siege of Fingers, you meantioned that wardens took most of the hex but where pushed out again by a counteroffensive. This is not wrong, but not really accurate either; the plan from the start was to destroy defenses and reset tech rather then to actually hold the entire region for a significant amount of time. The colonial counter offensive way much more a cleanup by a very small amount of players, rather then an actual battle Or another more simple example, you more or less went over Wardens retaking Buckler Sound as some minor territory changes in Stonecradle, but taking that midline hub back was more or less the starting point for the warden comeback But I really dont want to nitpick; I can only imagine how much effort this was as is. I just wish that it becomes more apperant how wars are won and victories look like to casual and new players, aside from them just looking at the map colors

@@RobertLovesGames Very fair, but still it might be a good idea to mention major tech resets and destroyed defenses as those are usually what matter most in this game. One good way to find those is to look out for RSC ops or successful naval invasions on either side. They should not be hard to find, especially when they are on the opposing side and everyone is screaming QRF
its a very good summary video Robert, though I would say that you improved upon these quotes narration so you get the feels of it, If you don't know what I'm referring to, check out some historical channels perhaps. And again this war literally shocked me as a warden still suffering from war 115 and war 116, before the final day of the war I checked the map and it was still a stalemate, just the position is pretty much the same as it was in the first day of the war, and when I checked the map again a few days later I saw warden has won... I missed the last days of this war, and I'm quite pissed at myself for not participating, but regardless, it was a very fun war.
This was my first war since I reinstalled after years of not playing and so far its been extremely fun. I was a colonial and even though we lost it was an extremely fun and enjoyable experience. GGs to both sides.
Also 31:12 they colonials only had one nuke. Its a visual bug on Foxholestats website that showed 4 nuke landing sites despite there being only one. A similar bug happened with a few other nukes as well, showing 2 landing sites in the same hex when there was 1.
Rob , you should definitely spend a war living with TBFC down in fingers and see what its like to larp full time naval for a war , you should spend the next war living with scum or 82dk and see how they operate . think it would make a good video as not many people know what living on islands and naval larp is like , i feel as if many people are missing out on the naval larp and it would be cool if you could do a video or 2 dedicated to the good old naval larp.
Collies being able to kill the Foxcatcher nuke but not take the Foxcatcher town hall was the turning point in my mind. They threw everything they had at Foxcatcher and we kept the refinery.

Marban Hollow was a hard fight after the first week. The collies repeatedly rained arty on my bb on the eastern front. We spent days rebuilding defenses over and over with collies ambushing us. We finally captured and secured the east bridges. The west also pushed back after almost losing viper pit. The next two/three weeks was us just repeatedly hitting them until it fell. Good war with 500+ kills, 600+ revives, and so much building.
@@icedragon2030 which is why I think they changed the godcrofts region and the other similar regions to be more island based so the lines are more fluid and you're not getting stuck in bridge fights that take forever to be decided, I remembered watching the royal spud's first war in 83 on moidawg's channel and for practically the entirety of the conflict, the wardens never really got onto Tempest Island because of those bridges and the lack of naval options to break through with it being almost impossible to land permanent forces anywhere.
32:12 As far as I remember it was one nuke targeted at Callahan's Passage (Linn of Mercy) which was the only nuke ready at that time. During the Wardens assault on Linn of Mercy, where they successfully conquered a good part and town hall, the server crashed, leading to a rollback, lost tanks, Colonials destroying the tanks of not yet spawned in again tank crews and basically pushed back the formerly successful attack. So kind of like the Ashtown incident in war 108 (?). Anyway, during that server recovery it seemingly duplicated the Nuke so that it seemed like 4 where now targeting Callahans Passage. Apart from that tiny detail: Great report again! Thank you!

i just learned of this game recently. it seems to be a 'quietly popular' game with a friendly player base who are willing to teach other. definitely going to try it out
The morale in my regiment was down around day 30. many of our new members felt the war would end in a few days. Our faction stood strong and hopefully, my words were taken to heart that wars tend not to end quickly. It's understandable that coming in during War 116 they would have had that impression but my hope is that War 117 proves to everyone that War 116 is no longer the norm as much as many of us may wish for the days when the map was smaller and wars were quick. I loved the struggle to turn around the war and I hope to see all the colonials back for the update war and to have just as vicious and lethal war as we did in War 117.
Hi, full-time Warden here. This war felt like I was always fighting uphill, and in the end of the war it felt like we were unstoppable every hiccup was just that. And victory seemed inevitable. Our Yacht Club is awesome btw.

Was glad to be apart of this war. Even though we lost, had tons of fun and that's what really matters in my opinion. I played in the beginning with a friend of mine that just bought the game then took bout a 2 week break expectin the war to be over but it wasn't. So I did my duty and played til it was over. Winning or losing to me doesn't matter that much, I can see builders gettin mad cause their bunker base & fac's get constantly destroyed. However, they should be prepared for that, it is a war game after all. Resting for update war and perhaps might teach another friend of mine the game if it goes on sale. Edit: Forgot to mention. The Warden Navy this war did some crazy work. I bet they had lots of fun during their operations Also lowkey for the people out there that alt the game. Just take a break from the game fr, it aint serious enough to break game rules.
The CBOLT regiment in Nevish Line produced enormous amounts of concrete and artillery shells this war. Thanks to CBOLT, many fortifications around the map have been brought up to tier 3, which had significant effect on many battles. In total somewhere close to 80000 concrete has been produced. It is also important to mention the tank factory in Limestone Holdfast in reaching trail, which essentially produced 2 SHTs every single day from SHT tech day to the war end, as well as uncountable amounts of Battle Tanks and SPGs. Big thanks for to the ATLAS coalition (BEACH + GOONS) for playing 18-20 hours a day for the whole war duration and making this victory possible. Other important regiments to mention would be SSe, SOBs, ITA, 27th as well as numerous other Russian, Asian and other regiments who participated in the incredibly difficult battle for the Moors for 3 weeks straight. AzureusFox, W01, 33rd Engineering Corps [33rd]. War 117 was interesting to say the least. I joined the war late on the side of the Colonials and spent most of my time at the Scarp of Ambrose in Farranac Coast alongside members of the 33rd being an artillery gunner and/or loader, driving a tank for my squad or just fighting as standard infantry. For many days we were at a stalemate on the bridge leading to Bone Haft, sometimes it seemed like we were going to be able to push across only to get beaten back. Our artillery would decimate the Warden lines, destroying their pillboxes, damaging their tanks and setting fire to the Town Hall only for our infantry to not be able to take advantage of it all. I would have to say the Warden Snipers definitely played a key role in halting our troops from crossing. Sometimes the Wardens would be able to cross, with tanks even, but we were able to beat them back for the most part. Elsewhere on the map it looked like we were winning, although we didn't hold any naval hexes, we held the majority of the VPs on the mainland... Until the Wardens naval landed in The Fingers and we somehow lost the whole hex within a couple of days. From that moment it all went downhill, we were getting pushed back on all fronts, defeat after defeat as swarms of Warden tanks and infantry captured town after town. Seriously, I had never seen so many tanks all in one place especially during the final hours at Blemish. It was very disheartening to see our forces not be able to do anything and whole hexes were being lost in a mere few days, maybe hours. After Scarp and later Farranac was lost, I, as well the rest of 33rd, shifted our focus on Reavers' after the Wardens managed to take it. We fought alongside the 113th on one of their Destroyers for a while as loaders and repair crew. We took part in raids against the Warden logi lines, blowing up a bridge connecting Breakwater to Clay Coffer and even destroying their Seaport at Keelhaul, supporting our troops to eventually push and recapture Reavers. Afterwards, the 33rd moved to Clahstra, fighting in the trenches just outside Weephome before being invited to be gunners and loaders for a Lance-46 “Sarissa” 150mm SPG that was shelling Weephome Relic Base. Eventually the Colonials were able to capture it and our SPG moved to the Treasury, shelling the Wardens on the bridge until our ammo ran out. After that we decided to take a break until the next war, I would return a few of days later, because I still wanted to play and see how things go, to see the situation had worsened drastically. The Wardens had taken almost everything, leaving only a handful of hexes still in Colonial control. I joined a Battleship heading to Terminus from Acrithia but the game server had a different plan and I was disconnected, upon rejoining in the Colonial Home Region, I watched on the map as our ships were decimated.I joined the fight at Saltbrook for a bit, managing to cross one of the southern bridges and bayoneting at least 3 Wardens at the other bridge and killing a further 4 as they pushed near the house I was in. Afterwards, I decided to join the fight in the Heartlands, fighting in The Breach for a while, even able to join a Lance-25 “Hasta” crew as an Engineer for a bit before I had to go work. Eventually, the Breach was lost and, with only a few hours until the war's end, I joined the final stand in Blemish. Watching on the map as Ashtown and Hermit's Rest came under attack. Eventually, it would be Hermit, the last VP the Wardens needed, that would fall. Many from our side blamed the Colonial Navy for the defeat, seeing fleets of ships in the backlines going unused for the entirety of the war, some would blame the excessive use of nukes especially on towns that could've just been captured, fortified and used for logi and I know a decent amount of players got burnt out as the war dragged on. Here's to War 119, I'll see you in the trenches.
Citizen of the Fingers here. Hell of a war, I had deployed to the push for the warden nuke and rushed back to join the counter against the Wardens first naval invasion. Spent the rest of the war on that front. Hell of a war. Definitely a good one for me to get back into the game.
I learned this war that nukes fired isn't a good metric to see which side is winning. It stretches the logi line for both sides, so its really a double edged blade. I can't deny the impact it has on morale though.

This was my first war, I chose Warden, and started to regret it because it felt like we were getting beaten. I was away for a vacation, and came back to see the Wardens had surged and taken victory. Just incredible, and Im sad I missed it.

The Navy and the Warden cheaters who dual accounted for 40 days driving tanks into the ocean and emptying out our stockpiles and screenshotting our bunker tech. Nobody mentions that anywhere but it made several of my friends including me uninstall permanently. Still enjoy the vids but the reality of the game is a lot different...

Man, I understand why but this vid glosses over so many important moments.
One thing I really want to shout out as a warden player was the silk road. The silk road was a player made logisitics road from the fingers that conneced to reavers pass. The road utilized two player made pier bridges to bridge the gap between the mainland in fingers and the large middle island that extends into reavers pass. The bridge on the fingers side was called Bridge Al Gaib and the second bridge on the reavers pass side was called The New York Bridge. A gigantic player made provisional road connected the bridges through the border crossing. This road was maintained kept up even through the rapid decay zone near the border by constant work from very busy logi players. This player made logi route saw as much traffic as any major logi road on the main land.
Frankly, the logistical efforts to support the reavers pass push was nothing like I have ever seen in this game before.

I play warden as a part of a small vet regi. None of us were playing until your video talking about wardens just not fighting. We went: 'Warden's aren't showing up? Bet.' We fired over 3000 150mm and supplied ammo to multiple battleships and participated on the western push and multiple landings. Thanks for bringing us into this epic war Robert!

Eyyy the armored car mentioned at 3 minutes was me and a friend! We weren't very helpful lol, it was his first time using a vehicle and I wasn't very experienced either. We did manage to get a decent few infantry kills and make it a bit harder for some to advance, but as our troops fell back we ended up getting trapped by our own guys placing landmines behind us. Was a fun time though! My group got a ton more experience with vehicles throughout the war, I think we were pretty good at it by the end

This war was a lot of fun to fight in. My regiment went Warden and we were expecting it to be a short one, much like 116. But the Wardens and community had other ideas.
What was supposed to be our own little break, turned into us doing more than we first thought.
Especially myself supplying Tuatha and Breakwater with loaded tanks via Iron Ships and some vets even mentioning that they themselves never knew you could load a fully loaded tank on the ships.
Had a lot of fun that war.

I've been a long time Warden logi player in Foxhole but this war was unlike anything I've ever seen.
Me and the other SSA players started off in Stonecradle but we quickly had to abandon our traditional home hex, and my bar in Buckler Sound, because of the deteriorating situation there on day one. We ended up in Callum's Keep for the next two weeks, churning out supplies for the surrounding fights in Stonecradle and The Moors. I think it first dawned on me that this war was going to be different around day 10-13 when all of a sudden it felt like Warden resolve stiffened up. I wasn't sure that we could win, but I was confident that we weren't going to just let the Colonials roll over us.
Around the time that a nuke was targeting Ogmaran, we decided to shift some of our operations out Isawa in Godcrofts as an insurance policy. I think in our minds we were worried that once Ogmaran was cracked open the Colonials would swarm over the backline areas and that would be that, we just wanted a place to do logi in peace. At this time I still viewed the naval invasions as an interesting idea but I never could have imagined that the landings in The Fingers would have gone as successfully as they did in the end. After The Old Captain was up and running for a few days, I took some of our gear from Isawa down there to set up our third operation. By this point we were spread out in three hex's doing logi which was a lot for a small group like ours but it honestly made it all the more fun.
Most of my last few days in the war were spent manufacturing in Old Captain to try to help resupply the pushes into Reavers and Terminus. I ended the war as part of the push into Origin, having to run supplies down from Longstone in Westgate just to get into the fight. I was part of the crew of a couple of large ships that were shelling Initium before I finally joined the ground invasion to help take the town hall. Once the war was won, both Colonials and Wardens just stood around the town hall in Initium talking, congratulating each other on fighting the good fight.
It was a great way to end one of the most amazing wars I've ever been a part of. Hats off to everyone who took part in this war, be you Warden or Colonial, you all fought the good fight no matter what. SSA and myself are all on break for 118 but we'll see you all in 119. Stop by the bar in Buckler Sound, I swear the drinks aren't irradiated!
Greetings from SCUM, I remember how we first tried to secure Fisherman's Row in day 1. A few weeks later, we were trying to take Stema with all we had, not to mention all the other regiments that worked together. There are literally too many regiments to name! In the end, we made it to Fingers and Reavers. Great video, but I hoped to see the Silk Road too. It was a handmade logi road that essentially established land connection to Reaver's Pass, Breakwater. It consisted of 2 navy pier bridges and one gravel road.
The SIlk Road deserves a video of its own. It was a feat of player made logistics.

Althought Foxcatcher nuke deinal is such a good success from the Colonial, this massive operations rally also pull some of the regi away from the west and mid lane, result in a stall in Callahan's passage. This little time of breath gave wardens time to finish the defense reinforcement, and stopped Colonial push further north since
Edit: Oh shit that 150mm barrage from Scarp was us! We made it bros! Shoutout to "Ass Arty" squad. I can't believe we got the relic so low! What a tense battle. Wardens did a great job defending!
Absolutely insane levels of confidence among the collies through the first half of the war. I remember at the end of week 1 people saying in global chat that we were gonna end this war as quickly as possible. Man, the absolute turn around. Loads of salt in the global text and even some upset local voice chat veterans complaining about "new players" this and "logi" that. Luckily, the cry babies were in minority. Despite slowly being grinded down into a loss, I still saw day after day veteran collie players helping new guys learn the ropes of frontline and logi combat.
My favorite moment from this war was meeting some dudes who wanted to run a mortar team. We did that for the night, and the next day set up a position on a different front line, now with 150's. We kept recruiting and recruiting until there were dedicated logi guys in the squad gathering shells for the endless bombardment. We spent over 3,000 150mm shells during one 3 hour battle. Shit was cash

Anytime the Collies got close the Wardens shelled the holy Christ out of them with batteries presighted on Hoarfrost.
10th built the batteries up, built ammo facs on the batteries, and then constructed AI howies to discourage counter battery.
Anytime the Collies got close it was just like “Shatter their sky!”
There is one other unsung battle near the end of the war… The battle for Salt Farms! It was by far the most intense battle ive ever seen in foxhole, and it wasn’t even over a victory point lol, ggs to all the wardens and collies who fought there and to the mass of stolen collie ballistas used to break the concrete fortress that was Salt Farms!

As a member of the 6th marine regiment we give everything to this war, countless of frigate operations not only on the sea but in the rivers. when we didn't had any ship operation we focused on logi and some special tank operations here and there alongside CSU.

It would be great if you could include submissions from people showing crucial battles, like the foxcatcher nuke battle. Maybe ~30 secs per submission and maybe the one submitting it could edit it for less headache on your end. The most crucial battles like fingers invasion, rime defence, and foxcatcher nuke kill were so major they deserve a segment of footage. Other than that great vid overall. The submissions would help to break the video up and capture some of the mindboggling madness of what happened.
The most fun I had this war was when everyone else was pushing into Foxcatcher. Me and HelpingHans were leading a tank rush to take the mox and start pushing into vipers pit. I got to fill out more of these after war details.

After that, we did a good job keeping you guys away from Fox and eventually totally rebuilt our conc defenses.

117 was my first war, started off as a colonial and saw that we were winning so I switched teams before the lock happened. Honestly glad I did so, managed to learn pretty much most of the game through endless trial and error against an always pushing enemy. If 118 turns out to be a subjectively bad experience for me in the collie side, ill probably be a warden loyalist forever

We were furious that our fortification line on Callahans Passage had been wiped out after we had repelled 4 massive Ballista attacks and as attack 5 there was RSC batteri fire. This gave us a momentary moral low. Then the guys from the [82] DK brought us so many resources, twice, that we were on our feet. Thanks for the materials Robert and the [82] DK team!

It was my first war. I kept doing solo sabotage raids on the west using any kind of boat possible. They kept driving us back, I kept going further behind the lines, burning back line logistings up, bridges anyhing to slow them down

2:30 That was me, the battle at saltbrook was one of our first disastrous losses on the warden side, im still very surprised the war lasted that long and we were able to come back, after we lost that battle I was sure we would've lost the war, I'm glad everyone kept fighting, best war I've fought in 100%, only war Ive played in that I think can somewhat compare is war 110
I bought the game halfway through the war and joined Wardens Naturally I was immediately thrust into the thick of it haha. I was picked up by SoBs not long after and had lots of fun maintaining a shell fac and public upgrade pads in Reaching Trail right along the border to Moors. Our facility was also the perfect jumping off point for partisan operations into Moors, and 3/4 our parking lot was collie vics by the end of the war :D. We made sure logi into Borderlane was always a hassle, burned down any attempts at getting a frontline fuel fac up at the oilfield near the junction leading up to it and conducted hit and run rocket attacks on Morrighan's Grave and Solas. The lions of Ogmaragrad held off collie attacks on the outskirts of the city for a week before, and even some time after the nuke. This allowed us to conduct a major artillery operation together with local regiments, which smashed open Headstone and unhinged the entire collie defensive line, leading to it's eventual collapse not long after. Better luck next time goblins! GG and thank you for providing me such a perfect introduction to Foxhole!

Wardens paved a player-made road from Second Man, through the Plankhouse finger, back down to Breakwater. The al Gaib and New York bridges, and the Silk Road they were part of, are why we held the region. The naval advantage would've meant little without that crucial link between The Old Captain and the depot in Breakwater. That fire in Terminus is what enabled the rest of the comeback. The fact that I only ever saw one partisan on it was a miracle and testament both. The NY bridge was torn down in the Reaver's counterattack, but whoever got it back up on our second offensive saved the front.
Seriously though, it was not at all a steamroll. Shirts were just nowhere in Warden depots. One front going wrong could've collapsed the entire thing. We got lucky trapping a battleship between the Liberation Point and Fort Duncan bridges (and that ATRs should probably not kill line ships), and that the Collies bled more for the Loch Mor nuke than we did encircling it.
Cobalt river in the Deadlands though. It will only make us stronger.
Fighting on the colonial side of this war and capturing most of "The Moors" i genuinely didn't expect the wardens to make such a comeback.
i remember when i took a small break after we almost entirely took over the moors, and when i came back a few days later, half the map was Blue and Stema Landing was being invaded, and a few days after that the fingers.
GJ Wardens for that victory, had fun playing with everyone involved.

Can't help but feel sad when i don't see 11e being mentioned in the battle of the Fingers when we were the ones doing the landings, operating the Bluefinn and Longhooks aswell as supplying SCUM with all their 150mm and 120mm. Its the curse of 82DK. If anywhere on any frontline you see any SPG, RSC, SHT or any other valuable target, as long as there is at least one 82DK member in the hex, it is automaticaly contributed by enemy to 82DK until proven otherwise.
I still remember when SuperHeavy tanks were implemented, and collonials on reddit reported 8 different destroyed Superheavies to belong to 82DK just because there was one of their infantry guy standing nearby in their screenshots :-D
Colonials give up too easy the second one key point falls and the Wardens start coming back every single front is lost in a day, and the war lost in that same week.
Collies need a morale victory war, where they pass the morale check and go on to win. Y'all need this so bad, if it has happened you need a new one, a recent one to prove to the new players that it can be done. Some hindsight: when you pushed to the western backline regions; RSCs would have ended us there I think. Also when we were pushing south post counter attack some roaming tank squads in the midline regions would have killed so much logi etc... just barge a few tanks behind the lines land at victa maybe? Just go ham in falchions, see what you can get up to.

Great video, good job. There are those that hate long wars but I love them. This war was special and helps make our own player lore.
Having joined HCNS, we often just collected material and stuff to build up the Warden navy. So not too much excitement. I mean, there was always the occasional colonial partisan and submarine trying to breach our hex, but we quickly dealt with that without much problems.
However, when we deployed out with our own Battlship, the HCNS Vanguard, heading for the Fingers, we resupplied in Stlican Shelf. There had been no sightings of Colonial ships, so we felt safe but was still weary... And while I was standing against the ammo rack to the forwards 150 mm. turret, a colonial torpedo came out of nowhere and hit the hull directly, and I mean DIRECTLY where my legs were positioned. Short to say, I perished in an instant. I respawned on the ship, nobody else got decimated, and we had to close the front compartment while trying to repair what we could. Short to say, that was a memorable happening for me on that mission. That's for sure.

Warden from Marban Hollow here. The main reason no progress were made first in the beginning of the war was the infamous Bua's Bridge , crossing it from east to west is an almost impossible task as vehicles are confined to a single chokepoint.
In the East , men were fighting to push the collies back to the bridge.
In the West, men were fighting in hope of finally getting to Maiden's Veil and ending the stalemate.
One time on the East we saw 2 BT's and 2 BTDS rushing the bridge from their south base while we were pushing the collies past the bridge , they got blocked because the bridge was down and were taken down with ease. To this my regiment still don't have any clue of why they did such a suicidal move.
Yup, I'm in hward, we tried our best to take maidens for so long, but the Bua bridge is a PAIN, the multiple 90⁰ turns for vehicles to make made doing anything with vehicles on the bridge a pain due to how easily it chokepointed

Amazing Video! I only have one suggestion for future war breakdowns like this: you covered a ton of territory changes but little about more strategic victories. For instance in the Siege of Fingers, you meantioned that wardens took most of the hex but where pushed out again by a counteroffensive. This is not wrong, but not really accurate either; the plan from the start was to destroy defenses and reset tech rather then to actually hold the entire region for a significant amount of time. The colonial counter offensive way much more a cleanup by a very small amount of players, rather then an actual battle

But I really dont want to nitpick; I can only imagine how much effort this was as is. I just wish that it becomes more apperant how wars are won and victories look like to casual and new players, aside from them just looking at the map colors

@@RobertLovesGames Very fair, but still it might be a good idea to mention major tech resets and destroyed defenses as those are usually what matter most in this game. One good way to find those is to look out for RSC ops or successful naval invasions on either side. They should not be hard to find, especially when they are on the opposing side and everyone is screaming QRF

And again this war literally shocked me as a warden still suffering from war 115 and war 116, before the final day of the war I checked the map and it was still a stalemate, just the position is pretty much the same as it was in the first day of the war, and when I checked the map again a few days later I saw warden has won...
I missed the last days of this war, and I'm quite pissed at myself for not participating, but regardless, it was a very fun war.
This was my first war since I reinstalled after years of not playing and so far its been extremely fun. I was a colonial and even though we lost it was an extremely fun and enjoyable experience. GGs to both sides.
Also 31:12 they colonials only had one nuke. Its a visual bug on Foxholestats website that showed 4 nuke landing sites despite there being only one. A similar bug happened with a few other nukes as well, showing 2 landing sites in the same hex when there was 1.

Rob , you should definitely spend a war living with TBFC down in fingers and see what its like to larp full time naval for a war , you should spend the next war living with scum or 82dk and see how they operate . think it would make a good video as not many people know what living on islands and naval larp is like , i feel as if many people are missing out on the naval larp and it would be cool if you could do a video or 2 dedicated to the good old naval larp.

Collies being able to kill the Foxcatcher nuke but not take the Foxcatcher town hall was the turning point in my mind. They threw everything they had at Foxcatcher and we kept the refinery.

Marban Hollow was a hard fight after the first week. The collies repeatedly rained arty on my bb on the eastern front. We spent days rebuilding defenses over and over with collies ambushing us. We finally captured and secured the east bridges. The west also pushed back after almost losing viper pit. The next two/three weeks was us just repeatedly hitting them until it fell. Good war with 500+ kills, 600+ revives, and so much building.

@@icedragon2030 which is why I think they changed the godcrofts region and the other similar regions to be more island based so the lines are more fluid and you're not getting stuck in bridge fights that take forever to be decided, I remembered watching the royal spud's first war in 83 on moidawg's channel and for practically the entirety of the conflict, the wardens never really got onto Tempest Island because of those bridges and the lack of naval options to break through with it being almost impossible to land permanent forces anywhere.
32:12 As far as I remember it was one nuke targeted at Callahan's Passage (Linn of Mercy) which was the only nuke ready at that time. During the Wardens assault on Linn of Mercy, where they successfully conquered a good part and town hall, the server crashed, leading to a rollback, lost tanks, Colonials destroying the tanks of not yet spawned in again tank crews and basically pushed back the formerly successful attack. So kind of like the Ashtown incident in war 108 (?).
Anyway, during that server recovery it seemingly duplicated the Nuke so that it seemed like 4 where now targeting Callahans Passage.

The morale in my regiment was down around day 30. many of our new members felt the war would end in a few days. Our faction stood strong and hopefully, my words were taken to heart that wars tend not to end quickly. It's understandable that coming in during War 116 they would have had that impression but my hope is that War 117 proves to everyone that War 116 is no longer the norm as much as many of us may wish for the days when the map was smaller and wars were quick. I loved the struggle to turn around the war and I hope to see all the colonials back for the update war and to have just as vicious and lethal war as we did in War 117.
Hi, full-time Warden here. This war felt like I was always fighting uphill, and in the end of the war it felt like we were unstoppable every hiccup was just that. And victory seemed inevitable.

Was glad to be apart of this war. Even though we lost, had tons of fun and that's what really matters in my opinion. I played in the beginning with a friend of mine that just bought the game then took bout a 2 week break expectin the war to be over but it wasn't. So I did my duty and played til it was over. Winning or losing to me doesn't matter that much, I can see builders gettin mad cause their bunker base & fac's get constantly destroyed. However, they should be prepared for that, it is a war game after all. Resting for update war and perhaps might teach another friend of mine the game if it goes on sale.
Edit: Forgot to mention. The Warden Navy this war did some crazy work. I bet they had lots of fun during their operations

The CBOLT regiment in Nevish Line produced enormous amounts of concrete and artillery shells this war. Thanks to CBOLT, many fortifications around the map have been brought up to tier 3, which had significant effect on many battles. In total somewhere close to 80000 concrete has been produced. It is also important to mention the tank factory in Limestone Holdfast in reaching trail, which essentially produced 2 SHTs every single day from SHT tech day to the war end, as well as uncountable amounts of Battle Tanks and SPGs. Big thanks for to the ATLAS coalition (BEACH + GOONS) for playing 18-20 hours a day for the whole war duration and making this victory possible.
Other important regiments to mention would be SSe, SOBs, ITA, 27th as well as numerous other Russian, Asian and other regiments who participated in the incredibly difficult battle for the Moors for 3 weeks straight. Thank you very much for being there.

War 117 was interesting to say the least. I joined the war late on the side of the Colonials and spent most of my time at the Scarp of Ambrose in Farranac Coast alongside members of the 33rd being an artillery gunner and/or loader, driving a tank for my squad or just fighting as standard infantry. For many days we were at a stalemate on the bridge leading to Bone Haft, sometimes it seemed like we were going to be able to push across only to get beaten back. Our artillery would decimate the Warden lines, destroying their pillboxes, damaging their tanks and setting fire to the Town Hall only for our infantry to not be able to take advantage of it all. I would have to say the Warden Snipers definitely played a key role in halting our troops from crossing. Sometimes the Wardens would be able to cross, with tanks even, but we were able to beat them back for the most part.
Elsewhere on the map it looked like we were winning, although we didn't hold any naval hexes, we held the majority of the VPs on the mainland... Until the Wardens naval landed in The Fingers and we somehow lost the whole hex within a couple of days. From that moment it all went downhill, we were getting pushed back on all fronts, defeat after defeat as swarms of Warden tanks and infantry captured town after town. Seriously, I had never seen so many tanks all in one place especially during the final hours at Blemish.
It was very disheartening to see our forces not be able to do anything and whole hexes were being lost in a mere few days, maybe hours. After Scarp and later Farranac was lost, I, as well the rest of 33rd, shifted our focus on Reavers' after the Wardens managed to take it. We fought alongside the 113th on one of their Destroyers for a while as loaders and repair crew. We took part in raids against the Warden logi lines, blowing up a bridge connecting Breakwater to Clay Coffer and even destroying their Seaport at Keelhaul, supporting our troops to eventually push and recapture Reavers. Afterwards, the 33rd moved to Clahstra, fighting in the trenches just outside Weephome before being invited to be gunners and loaders for a Lance-46 “Sarissa” 150mm SPG that was shelling Weephome Relic Base. Eventually the Colonials were able to capture it and our SPG moved to the Treasury, shelling the Wardens on the bridge until our ammo ran out.
After that we decided to take a break until the next war, I would return a few of days later, because I still wanted to play and see how things go, to see the situation had worsened drastically. The Wardens had taken almost everything, leaving only a handful of hexes still in Colonial control. I joined a Battleship heading to Terminus from Acrithia but the game server had a different plan and I was disconnected, upon rejoining in the Colonial Home Region, I watched on the map as our ships were decimated.I joined the fight at Saltbrook for a bit, managing to cross one of the southern bridges and bayoneting at least 3 Wardens at the other bridge and killing a further 4 as they pushed near the house I was in. Afterwards, I decided to join the fight in the Heartlands, fighting in The Breach for a while, even able to join a Lance-25 “Hasta” crew as an Engineer for a bit before I had to go work. Eventually, the Breach was lost and, with only a few hours until the war's end, I joined the final stand in Blemish. Watching on the map as Ashtown and Hermit's Rest came under attack. Eventually, it would be Hermit, the last VP the Wardens needed, that would fall.
Many from our side blamed the Colonial Navy for the defeat, seeing fleets of ships in the backlines going unused for the entirety of the war, some would blame the excessive use of nukes especially on towns that could've just been captured, fortified and used for logi and I know a decent amount of players got burnt out as the war dragged on.

Citizen of the Fingers here. Hell of a war, I had deployed to the push for the warden nuke and rushed back to join the counter against the Wardens first naval invasion. Spent the rest of the war on that front.
Hell of a war. Definitely a good one for me to get back into the game.

I learned this war that nukes fired isn't a good metric to see which side is winning. It stretches the logi line for both sides, so its really a double edged blade. I can't deny the impact it has on morale though.
