One of the best. Some parts of the main melody remind me of Tiberian Dawn's "No mercy" but slower, gloomier, and evoking loneliness and despair rather than brutal resolve. It fits perfectly in Tiberian Sun's uniquely somber setting.

I remember my first time playing CNC 3 I thought it would be as awesome as Tiberian Sun yet storyline wise it didn't even come close. I hated how EA stole from the last NOD mission in TS and blew up the Philadelphia again instead this time they used one ICBM instead of three and this time its launched from a stationary silo instead of 3 mobile ICBM launchers. I also hated how they got rid of the infected tiberium lifeforms and plants and even the forgotten mutants themselves. By the time I finished CNC 3 I thought it's an OK game but I got scammed. Still it better than CNC 4 but with an intro like this it should of really been better. This is why EA should stick to remastering the old games when Westwood did them back in the days of Joe Bostic and the others that wrote the storyline of the games back then. EA has zero creativity in fact at this state their creativity would be in the negatives.
Almost all of the towns, cities are destroyed from the First Tiberium War and in recent flashpoints with the Resurging Brotherhood of Nod, the remaining cities left standing are left in disarray, as most of the continents surfaces are ravaged by war, the ever growing and looming threat of Tiberium has been responsible for the most devastating ecological and environmentally catastrophic events in all of human history, where natural and urban landscapes are completely baron and empty of life, stripped of natural flora and fauna and turned into horrific abominations, hellscapes that span entire continents, the atmosphere is becoming even more toxic and inhospitable for terrestrial life at an alarming rate, the worlds oceans are impossible to navigate due to increased surges in ion storm activity and high tidal swells during these super storms that can engulf and capsize entire fleets of merchant and military vessels, the skies above are too hostile, the air and wind currents are extremely unpredictable, turbulent micro bursts and dangerous ion storms to fly and navigate in and the last of the worlds forests are left in ruins due to ion storms and heavy winds spreading fires to trees and vegetation, a lot of population centers are in desperate need of aid, technical and medical assistance, it is however unknown as to how many areas are affected in one given moment due to the severity of ion storm interference wreaking having with communication and early warning centers, with GDI scientists being unable to reverse the spread of Tiberium, the GDI council is in desperate need of a solution to the ongoing crisis as millions of civilian lives across the globe suffer from unprecedented levels of toxic Tiberium poisoning, famine, drought, extreme destructive weather, on top of that all out war has broken out once again in these now vulnerable regions all over the world. It is surreal, hard to believe that all of these major regions that were once livable decades ago, economically stable and self-sufficient, but with recent storms and deadly clashes between Nod and GDI and disasters are yet even more to be forecasted for the foreseeable future beyond the horizon, so many people and what's left of humanity have been cut off from what remains of human civilisation, logistics and infrastructure, this never ending struggle to maintain stability and order has brought nothing but chaos and civil unrest, as for the many, the uncertainty of their fate and future of survival in this ever changing world and with vast areas on the brink of societal collapse, ecological and economic ruin, with no choice but to flee from their homes, even without the aid and protection of GDI and attempt a dangerous trek across uncharted territory to seek at least some kind of refuge as hundreds and thousands take to the streets rioting and clashing with local authorities and law enforcement, outnumbered and outgunned armed angry mobs and criminals take to the streets as law and order breaks down in complete and total anarchy raiding of what's left of food, water and medical supplies, weapons from civilian armories as tensions rise between humans and the ever increasing number of mutants affected by Tiberium exposure countless souls hang into balance as ion storms, hurricanes, wildfires and snowstorms and dust storms continue to ravage entire continents, cities and trade routes, threatening to eradicate all life on Earth to the brink of extinction. same. i love the athmosphere of the game. it feels so dark and futuristic, while C&C3 somehow feels as if it would play BEFORE TibSun.
