This is going to come off like I'm fishing, but Google doesn't tell me, and my ffl guy is on vacation for the week. Ok, I see alot of guntubers with full-auto "toys" in their videos. Can I still buy one of those? I know I need tax stamps and hoops/hurdles to hop, but is it possible? Google keeps bringing up the NFA and 1985 and relics.
Basically; can I go buy a LEGAL full auto?
Edit: I'm trying something new to work around the nonstop insta deletes.

From what I understand you need to be an ffl with an sot class 2 or 3, which is yearly payments to hold onto for both. A lot of atf oversight and preferably a storefront business. If you're trying to just privately own a full auto legally that you made, you're going through a ton of hoops and annual costs to maintain. Not to mention needing the machinery to manufacture said lower. Not sure drilling a 3rd hole is allowed, I think you need to build a whole lower from the ground up yourself for it to be legal.

No, what's really scary is that Sotomayor listened to oral arguments where they specifically pointed out that a bump stock didn't meet the definition of machinegun as defined in the law, ignored that testimony in favor of her own feelings that "shoot fast = bad", and then convinced two other justices to agree with her.

Very articulate and to the point, a refreshing change from the likes of Dettelbach and other bureaucrats. As far as the bump stock and pistol brace fiasco is concerned, personally, I think the legislative bodies should leave these hot potatoes well enough alone. Firearm regulation is not a major topic of concern with the American public. The wide open border, fentanyl, runaway inflation and the very shaky economy in general, the gross overreach of the administrative agencies, and the list goes on and on, all under Biden’s watch.

The atf will not reclassify bumpstocks as machine guns. It can't afford to, because if it does, ALL gun bans are on the chopping block. Why you ask? ""There were about 520,000 bump stocks in circulation when the ban went into effect in 2019"" - this is WELL past common use, and would make a cause to end ALL machine gun bans - up to and including the NFA which authorized the ATF to exist in the first place. This also kills the NFA.
