  • Getting around the city with is one of the most challenging tasks for modern urban dwellers. Unlike those, who have gotten used to standing in endless traffic in their cars or resort to the use of public transport, some citizens are resorting to innovative personal transport, such as smart bicycles, scooters, and monowheels.
    These vehicles serve as a zero emission alternative to modern transport, are easy to operate and are already equipped with batteries that offer a desert amount of autonomy of a single charge.
    Let’s take the electric scooter industry for example.
    Over the past years it has evolved significantly, providing more and more innovative features. Now, besides coming with efficient electric motors and lightweight constructions, they come with easy to swap battery packs, fast charging capacities, latest generation infotainment and connectivity systems.
    This video features some of the hottest upcoming scooters on the market. All media content appears in this video for educations and illustrative purposes only. Detailed information about companies that make these vehicles is shown at the end of the presentation.
    The upcoming models that are scheduled to appear in early 2020 are bringing us closer to the future of electrified riding. But what other features can we expect them to have?

      Datacube: awesome facts and interesting top lists Yes, this is more of a networking arrangement than a product one. To have replaceable batteries spread over a distance of routes is a considerable undertaking for management. Difficult to cater for a specific consumer unless they are very lucky to be traveling on a route providing these battery replacements. It is a great socialist idea in principle, but not without its restricting proximities.
      Kind regards

    For me, a good full suspension mountain bike, with a bafang bbs02 1000W kit, with a non proprietary 48V 17ah battery that you can find in many places and probably even cheaper after some years when you will need to replace it will do it.
    No registration fee, no plate number, healthier, lighter=more efficient, much cheaper to buy, repair and maintain ie non proprietary tires, wheels, etc, more flexible, can drive it in sidewalk, walkways, off-road, even carry it inside, and can replace the bike anytime you like to and put the same kit on the other one,

      Well poster put the title that says MORE POWER on it, and I clicked it for that, otherwise, nobody will check what power my motor is in my country for sure if I don't drive like a lunatic, even though you can still limit the speed of the bike to 25km/h or even more which is even cheaper, bafang makes 250 watt motors as well.

    The scooters need to have a removable battery with battery trolley handle & wheels so you wheels the heavy duty battery in to your home for charging. Also the scooters wheels should lock when the ignition is off so it can’t be wheeled away from thieves. (Like they currently do). The range should be 100 miles minimum!

    You really want the electric scooter to take off and replace the car .make it were it can recharge the batteries while riding .make a device to only charge the batteries while on the move if you do that the range will be unlimited.

    • @TheKnightsShield
      @TheKnightsShield 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uh, yeah, never going to happen. There's always regen braking, though, which can provide up to 10% power return if the vehicle is ridden properly.

    • @jamieturnage4574
      @jamieturnage4574 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheKnightsShield i understand but the idea is to get the most range out of the batteries right regen braking kind of defeats the purpose when you can generate your own power on the move .there will be no need for regeneration .just replace the battery if need be.and your range will be extended.to equal that of a car if the moped can generate its own power on the move and fill the batterys with power.

    • @TheKnightsShield
      @TheKnightsShield 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jamieturnage4574 Regen is the most effective way to regenerate battery power while on the move and doesn't defeat the purpose, it's actually quite good at extending the range of an electric vehicle. Replacing the batteries during a journey is all well and good, but it still requires the use of somewhere to get the batteries, which isn't so common in countries outside of China. Electric vehicles will NEVER generate enough power to fill the batteries. Period. What you're suggesting sounds more like a hybrid of sorts, which is just as bad as not having an electric vehicle at all, considering the space requirements for both batteries and fuel tank in the limited confines of a small vehicle, such as a scooter. I've so many reviews of electric scooters and motorcycles over the years where people say "oh, it's good and all, but it would be better if it was powered by hydrogen" which always makes me think what is the point of doing a review of an electric vehicle if you know it has limitations? Electric vehicles have limitations, based on their size and battery technology and, no offence, but no amount of wishing you could bypass the laws of thermodynamics will ever change their abilities. If you'd like a scooter with near unlimited range or the ability to refuel quickly, you're not going to find one that is powered by batteries unfortunately.

    Nice.. seeing this makes the e bicycles that cost from £1.500p upwards seem even more daft? Why would anyone with a brain go out and waste £1.500p or more on a e bicycle when they could have a nice e scooter instead. And one thing about this report on the types of e scooters here.. they have some nice e scooters that has a 125 mile range, But a Honda PCX one that only has 25 miles of range? What the heck. Why is it the Honda one so range limited when it looks a bit bigger and should have bigger batteries hence longer range than the smaller scooters seen here?
