- Sharing my personal statement and tips for the General Practice Residency and Advanced Education in General Dentistry programs! When I looked for resources to apply to GPR and AEGD residency programs in 2020, I felt lost and didn't know where to begin. Especially with the clinic closure during the pandemic, I felt like I would have appreciated some advice on writing PS for general dentistry residencies so here it is! Were you in dental school as a citizen or as an international student? It would really help if you can make videos on navigating the application process in AEGD/ GPR? DDS programs for foreign-trained dentists if you had a similar path. Thank you!
안녕하세요. 한국에서 학사를 나와 미국 치대 지원을 준비 중인데. 포스트백으로 pre requsites만 들으려고 하는데 cc에서 듣는 것을 지양한다는 말을 들어서 컬리지에서 듣고 싶은데 편입이나 신입학이 아닌 pre requsites만 채우는게 컬리지에서 가능한지 여쭤봅니다! 영상 잘 보고 있어요:)
답변이 늦어져서 죄송해요! pre requisite 은 가능하시다면 4년제에서 듣는 것을 추천드려요 왜냐면 CC 인 경우엔 클래스마다 난이도가 4년제의 난이도랑 다를 수 있다는 뉘앙스가 있어서 만약에 cc 에 들으신다면 치대마다 그 credit 을 카운트 하는 방법이 다를 수 있어요! (그렇다면 학교마다 community college credit 이 어떻게 적용되는지 일일이 조사하셔야 해서..). 그렇지만 어떤 치대들은 나머지 학점과 DAT 가 높다면 기준에 비교해도 유리해지시니 학교마다 케바케이라고 생각해요! 그리고 한국에서 학사까지 하셨더라면 학교층에서는 충분히 이해할 수 있는 점이라고 생각합니다. 제생각엔 정말 원하시는 학교 admissions 에 연락드려서 본인 사정에 대해 물어보는 것 도 좋은 방법이라고 생각해요. 추가정보는 여기 링크에 적어둘께요- cc credit 받는 치대, 그리고 받지 않는 치대들을 리스트로 추려진 정보에요 (계속 스크롤 하시면 나옵니당) forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/are-there-dental-schools-that-wont-admit-me-due-to-community-college-credits.1293294/
