after watching Roadkill for so long I'm so happy to see you drive such a reliable car and is consistent and fast. Not that I don't enjoy the Roadkill struggle bus driven by you two, but... you know. A change of pace and scenery never hurt nobody.
RIP Roadkill. Finnegan's garage and Cletus are great shows. While I wouldn't have much of a budget for auto stuff (my 79 C20 only has around $7k into the sbc 406, as an all around work, tow vehicle, and play around truck) it is good to see builds that are done decently well, or even high end (turbo boat).

Leroy would easily beat him with him averaging low 8 second runs before the slipper clutch. Yes, it would be awesome to see the two of them do more together, especially since they are both on the East coast and have better odds of meeting up. They are my two favorite channels.

@@ronniewilliz153 Yes, it just depends on how each one tunes their cars and if they drive well. Leroy has run many low 8 second runs (the bracket car comment from them) and they are still getting the clutch figured out to go 7's. Finnegan said in a comment that the smaller party pulley added 4 psi boost, but the temperature went way up and that the blower is too small to push more air. Maybe with a colder day and lower elevation finnegan could make more power and win. The cold nights added more power and less traction when Cletus ran, hurting his times due to spinning the tires. In that situation Mike could easily win. It would be an interesting race between them.
I had a 55 with 396,Hedman headers,Holley 750.Muncie 4 speed,Hurst shifter,traction bars,super stiff suspension,fat tires,Cragar ss mags,no back seat ,150 model,black interior,camero buckets no seat belts,chrome window trim,faded brown L.A. city car paint.Cruised Vegas strip in 1971. Lots of fun.I did not build this car bought it for 800 bucks.
Nice video. Camera work was great and it was edited great- awesome content! Also like that you run some sort of HANS device of sorts- too many people end up with basilar skull fractures. Sweet car and congrats on the wins.
I was working at the Time Slip booth at this race in Vegas....He could not get it to fire after the second pass....I said....put it in 2nd gear and I will push you and he said ok....Did not realize it was was a manual transmission....Pushed about 100 ft feet before it fired...and I was gasping for air...as I aint no kid anymore.....LOL
I'm late to the party but it looks like you put in the time to launch on the 2 step, might be time to step up the cage to the next level , are 7,'s in it's future ?

It blows my mind that you've finally got a combination that can run 8 seconds consistently, without needing a teardown in between runs.
For a while it seemed impossible considering the engine tear downs on pick-nick benches and all that.
