I agree ! Mine too ! They were big in Montana !! My sister introduced me to SuperTramp's music when I was in junior high! Thank God for superior ear for great music! They were ahead of their time ! I listen to them every morning! They make my day ! ❤
A big part of my college years. What a tremendous song and such a talented band. I saw them live in Madison Square Garden and they killed it. Great show.
Watching stuff like this is both magical and depressing, sort of like the wistful, melancholy mood this song conveys. It may not qualify as soul music per-se, but it is. Makes you realize how empty & soul-less most of today's popular music is.
oh yeah.. I get what you're saying. It's not easy to explain the emotions all mingled together.Wistful & almost painful. I worked in a door factory. Sang this continuously all day while shoving planks of wood into the planer. GAWD. We really did have extraordinary music back in the day.
Grandiosi. Rick, Roger, Bob, Dougie e John . Rick e Roger due numeri 1 Assoluti. Anche John al sax e come front man ha dato una impronta altissima. Un gruppo per me tra i primi in assoluto ❤
Rick's songs are so much more dense and complicated. Love it. One thing I notice missing in post-Hodgson is his voice. That voice of his is iconic. Nobody can sing his parts.
I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Supertramp Live 4 times. Only Pink Floyd puts them in the 2nd spot for favorite live show. So sophisticated and intelligent. John on Sax is my favorite.
I have seen both Supertramp and Pink Floyd live. I thought that I was the only person who said seeing Supertramp live, is comparable to seeing Pink Floyd live. People look at me like I’m crazy
Great songwriting, lyrics, and musicianship. Incredibly underrated. I always loved the contrast of the two lead vocals in the band. One of my favorite bands of all time for sure.
Para mi, una de las diez mejores canciones de todos los tiempos!!! pero, tengo 66, oigo rock desde hace 54 años y esta lista la he modificado como mil veces. de todas formas, esta en mi lista!!!
Oh dear I have to disagree. They started at a decent tempo but, by a minute in, they've slowed it to a dirge. Love 70's Supertramp especially Dougie's bass playing. Criminally underrated band.
@@markreindl4569yeah I agree. Rick for all his positives, sure struggles with either seriously speeding up (Another Man’s Woman) or slowing down well below album tempo like he does here.
A great group..super creative songwriters(Davies & Hodgson), and excellent musicians that were deserving of the success...thanks for posting this...very cool
I missed this tour in Milan, back in 1988, because I had to go on three day trip with my high school class. I was 16, and Supertramp were my first and most important musical love. I saw them many times after that, but I still miss that "first" concert, that could have been really magic for me. Nice to finally see the boys like in a melancholic time machine. Dougie Thomson's bass at its finest here.
Good evening Sonia, you look quite young for a Supertramp fan. Look for the Paris live double Album, available as vinyl, CD and since short time also as video DVD. This concert in my opinion is a masterpiece of Supertramp. And also the famous last Munich concert with Rodger Hodgson is legendary. Greetings from Germany.
Few bands can play the songs they recorded as well live . This band could note for note......saw them 3 times . Their first North American Tour then their second tour then awhile later again......stunning every time.
If you're a fan of supertramp, you've got to love rodger. Why do people have to choose between one another and call the other awful. Both were great and both voices are so unique that it gave supertramp their own identity.
@@RafaelOliveira-gb3ms It's even worst with people arguing about Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins with Genesis. Or Pink Floyd with Waters and Gilmour. :-)
wonderful song, one of my favorites from Supertramp. Too bad Roger is not with the boys. Met him in Cinci and he is a great guy, put on a great show. Not the same though without him together with the band....
Similar to Pink Floyd. The two lead singers didn't get along, so one in each band left, while the rest kept going without them. Neither were the same after that happened.
Supertramp were too underated for how good they were. My favourite band of all time for sure!!
Supertramp is the meeting of genius
DITTO!!!! Theyve ALWAYS been my favorite since I was probably 8 years old, never wavered. Truly amazing
Supertramp was not underated, they sold more than 60 milion records. I'm sure that a few bands has reached that goal.
100 % agree

Another fantastic song by a phenomenal singer songwriter !
