Thank god he mentioned Fry, he’s been insane!
It’s crazy how a team that traded Nolan Jones Yainer Diaz and Will Benson are chillin as one of the best offenses in the league
@@aguynamedjake462all 3 of those dudes have been bad this year so yeah we’re good
He said the A’s closer is better than Clase which is not even close
Apparently Marc expected the Brewers to just be one of the best teams in baseball this year even though he had them in last place in the division for his prediction.
I think he hates them
Mad at stearns
Still early, babe
@@overpwnage18hahahaha I’ll make sure to come back here in September
I'm a brewers fan and when I saw him but the brewers last in thier division I unsubscribed.
Crotchet and Flaherety are so slept on its unreal
No Turang? check his hitting stats from last year compared to now, and is one of the best defensive 2nd basemen in baseball and good on the base paths
Fr and william Contreras
lmao i went straight to the comments to complain about this. he was literally the worst qualified hitter in baseball last season and is going to be an all star. ortiz deserved a mention as well, zero expectations and now at the top of the NL ROTY race
@@ttgamer9416everyone knew Contreras was good though, he was elite last year
@@Bayseball.13 he was not nearly this fucking good last year
@@nolansnyder2262everyone saw him being this good from a mile away
RIP reynaldo lopez apparently
fr
white sox legend
@@ligmaemperor7064 angels and nationals legend too
Mets fan not wanting to put him in
He absolutely hates the Braves lol
What makes Iminaga more impressive this season (so far) is that he's outside of the recent start vs the Brewers gotten used to the MLB way of playing. And he's getting like what 20 mil over 5 years. He could go downhill a small bit but most likely not barely being in the majors bad
I had a stroke trying to read this omg
Marc’s salty about his preseason predictions not including Brice Turang Joey Ortiz or William Contreras
i have luis gil, alec bohm and ryan mcmahon on my fantasy team. they called me a madman
No brice turang or joey Ortiz 😢
He’s mad abt Hoskins still🤣
i ran to the comments to say the same exact thing lmao
Brewers fan
@@Orioles_ROCK problem?
@@sawyerhiston4637😂😂😂
I’m convinced Marc has a hatred for the Brewers or something. Entire batting order exceeding expectations this year and not one of them mentioned!
still mad about that brawl ig 😭
Which Brewers player has been more surprising than anyone actually named in the video?
They've been good, for sure, but none of them are better than anyone mentioned here.
How is Yelich exceeding expectations? He's expected to do very well.
Brice Turang better than the rockies player@@brianontiveros-kersch2412
@@brianontiveros-kersch2412Turang
Bohm was a guy that always looked like he could be an all star with added pop.
one of the brewers young infielders gotta be here. joey ortiz had pretty low expectations year 1 and is currently firmly in the rookie of the year race, and brice turang went from literally 1st percentile batting run value (basically the worst qualified hitter in baseball) to a top 3 second baseman in all of baseball (bullish, but hitting .300 as the best defender at the position means something)
Marc is a Brewers hater he had them coming in last in the NL Central😂😭
GiraffeNeckMarc snubbing the Brewers again. Brice Turang had the 3rd worst wRC+ in the MLB last year minimum 400 PA at 60 wRC+ and put up -0.2 fWAR. He currently has a 124 wRC+ and 2.0 fWAR.
I sympathize, Brewers fan. He didn’t talk about my team’s most underrated player, Bailey Falter.
@@lucasbell4831When Bailey Falter shut down the Brewers earlier this year, I was really annoyed, but clearly there's something there with him because he's been amazing this year.
No Joey Ortiz is crazy
Contreras is the one on that team.
Give the Brew Crew some love, Marc!
Lugo is following the Zack Grienke school of pitching. I think he is going to be a stud in every draft going forward for the next 3 seasons.
Finally some Luis Gil love, he's a DAWGGG 🔥
No Brice Turang?
Bailey Falter and Nick Gonzales of the Pirates
ESPECIALLY Falter. That dude looks like a strong breeze would take him out of a game, but he’s been extremely underrated as a 4th starter
@@lucasbell4831 FR, overcasted by Skenes, Keller, and Jones
Because of the start he got off to, the consistency he's playing with, and the recent hitting streak, Anthony Volpe has turned some heads to show how good he is after a pretty bad rookie year
Ronel Blanco has been the stone, a suprising one, that the Astros have had when some other stuff was lacking, he MAJORLY picked up a slacking pitching rotation that has been mangled by injuries. Considering he made the team the LAST possible day he could, him, Mason Miller, Luis Gil, and David Fry are my most surprising. Im glad you at least got 3/4
I’m glad you’re such a big fan of my fantasy team!
Future ROY and CY young Luis Gil?
He’s a lock bruh
That’s not how you spell Shota Imanaga
I’m taking Gil over Shota 9/10 times
Robert gasser*
@@JudahSorce-ij9bd nah shota better lowkey
When you mentioned Shota Imanaga, at first I thought you were going to say "Shohei Ohtani" and I was just like "No shit he's like the best player in baseball! How is that surprising??!!"
I know they all look alike
Well I think Aaron Judge is rn. Monster May and he has stepped up after a terrible start. Heck he homered in like 5-6 straight games
So we’re not going to talk about Robert Suarez? He has a 0.69 era, 0.79 whip and 17 saves in 17 opportunities. Also 26 innings pitched
I could’ve seen Suarez being good but maybe not that good he has been a dominant reliever for them including their deep run in 2022 but I do agree he has been amazing this year on a forgettable and frustrating Padres squad!
@@silverranch4857 true
And of course in true Phillies Phashion Ranger is hit with a 106 mph line drive and is taken out of the game
Alec Bohm has been great at the plate this season, he still needs to improve defensively though. Definitely needs to be a lot more consistent in the field, cause he still makes a lot of errors in the field.
Yo Mark! I had no idea you were an ally!! It’s awesome that you support the community and employ Cole aka nomorefielders- as he is a member of the LGBTQ+ community! He’s an awesome dude and his channel is amazing!
As a Phillies fan, I was hoping you’d include Suarez and Bohm. They’ve had electric starts
As a Rays fan I'd like to submit Randy Arozarena for most disappointing. All of our offense has really underpreformed.
as a Ray also, my pick if mark ever wanted to make a second part would be Isaac Paredes. One of the few consistently good bright spots our offensive lineup has.
Can you do a mock draft
mock drafts are dumb as fuck
No LaMonte Wade Jr??? I know he's injured right now, but they guy has quietly been one of the best hitters in the league!!
Right? I feel the same way about Conforto!
honestly I feel surprised Hicks wasn't mentioned given how well he has performed so far.
I'm very surprised by the Red Sox starting pitchers so far this season. They would be no where without them, after losing 3 of their best offensive players in early April
jordan hicks so slept on nobody in the comments even mentioning him
When mason miller pitches people at the colliseum acctually dont look depressed
"Idek what that means… what do they owe him runs???” 😂😂😂😂😂 3:03
Logan Gilbert is heavily slept on. Dude is 3rd in his rotation but is pitching like an Ace.
Javier Assad should be on here tbh
Awesome to give your editor and fellow youtuber a spotlight. GOAT behavior
Kevin Pillar since being picked up by the Angels has been going crqzy
7:28 shota keeps his fastball high in the zone so he gets a lot of fly outs
Remember when marc ranked Edwin Diaz the number 1 reliever on the pre season list? 🤔
Nope
I could tell from the first time I saw shota pitch, he was going to be good, pinpoint control, can move in and out, up and down and can pitch sequence.
Would love to see a video on the most disappointing players this year!
I gotta say Marcel Ozuna being an MVP candidate was kinda out of no where
Not really go look at his stats last year bud 😂
@@tylerbenlien6093 he was hitting 270, this year bros hitting 320 with almost more bombs then he had last year
Even though the white sox suck, Tommy Pham has been astounding in center field while Luis Robert has been recovering from his injury. Definitely think he deserves a highlight
Never even heard of David fry till this year tbh
Matt Strahm is theb best reliever now, and the Phillies bullpen is broken
Garrett Crochet is the AL leader in strikeouts. In his first year of being a starting pitcher, yet isn’t on this list 🤨🤨
Bohm has made some INCREDIBLE plays at third this year! Definitely a better defensive player than Marc gives him credit for
yes bohm my favorite player and phillie fan
Where's Reynaldo Lopez??
Finally someone gives David Fry some credit
Feels like bohm turns into arenado everytime he plays the cards
You should do another MLB Akinator video. It’s been a while
vince mcMahon reference was goated
Brewers reliever Bryan Hudson, after being DFA’d, now owns a 364 ERA+ (100 is league average) in 40+ innings
Garret Hampson has been hitting really well thus far this year
The cy young is Logan webb
2:45
What a baller!!
I didn’t know who David fry was till a week ago
Ryan Weathers has been sneaky good
I saw a video like this mentioning David fry about 5 days ago and said “wow I wonder who picked him up in my fantasy league”
Turns out it was no one and I now have a stud who can play C,1B, and OF
When you do these videos you should do one+ player from every team
What about Robert Suarez? I know his fip isn’t as low as Millers but his era is more than a run lower and he has the most saves. He’s only given up two runs all year. His strikeouts per 9 are half of Millers but to say he’s the best without it being close. Come on.
Tanner Houck recognized let’s go
Honestly Jo Adell should be a honorable mention he went from looking lost at the plate his whole career to a 1war player so far he will continue to get better as he gets more time in mlb
Austin Gomber has been ELITE
Appreciate the shoutout to RyMac. The Rockies aren’t UNWATCHABLE. 😂 come on. You gotta see the impressive plays from Tovar and Doyle.
Seth Lugo has been a huge surprise for the Royals this year. His ERA is amazing
Hampson has also been a huge surprise
The way the A’s trade talent, the Jays could probably lift him from Oakland for Bo Bichette and the ghost of Brett Lawrie’s career.
Starting off with Raffe huh? Gotta be tough!!
Stopping the Marc being Mets bias trend
Stop hating on the brewers for crying out loud tops all around on offense smh
Gold glove for Joey Ortiz??
Or Brice turang
The Reds biggest surprise is RP Fernando Cruz who’s splitter is disgusting this year
Hell has frozen over, Bohm has been recognized
3:07 how do you calculate a negetive FIP shouldnt it just be 0
Go check Yimi Garcia’s stats on the Jays his fastball has gained 5mph this offseason and he has been one of the best relievers in baseball. Also missed Kutter Crawford
Bailey Falter
That pitch at 2:27 is unhittable. Scary!
Bobby Witt is the best shortstop right now. He leads the leaue in extra base hits. 2 in average most runs and also is one of the best fielders
It's not surprising tho we already knew he was good
Justin Martinez for the dbacks. He’s been absolutely lights out
Trevor Williams is also having a great season
matt Sthram is rocking a sub-1 era and has not allowed a run since opening day. Also jeff hoffman has been awesome.
Alec bohm shouldn’t be that surprising, he was doing this for most of the 2023 season also
Don't forget Alec Bohm's average with RISP
Masyn Winn should be on here
Emmanuel Clase clears Mason Miller in all statistics, by the way. He is the undisputed best closer in baseball right now
Mason Miller is NOT the best closer in baseball. That will have to go to Emmanuel Clase. He has leads the league in nearly every category with: 18 saves, 30 appearances, 0.31 ERA, and an absolutely mental ERA+ of 1266. His ERA+ is 1077 points higher than Mason Miller's.
The most telling stat about Clase’s season is that he has allowed just 1 ER. He is very, very good.
I disagree and think miller is better. Clase is insane but his underlying stats aren’t near as good as Miller. Miller averages literally twice as many strikeouts per nine and has a much better FIP. Clase is still amazing but his era+ won’t hold up with his underlying stats continuing being the way they are. Miller is quite literally unhittable, players rarely make contact against him. Clase is great but his FIP is 1.35 and his era is 0.31, meaning he has been getting lucky to some extent. Clase is obviously still amazing but I think Miller is better. He averages 2 strikeouts per inning, that’s absolutely mind boggling. Clase averages about 1 per inning and has a FIP much worse than Millers 0.8 FIP.
For me, the biggest issue is Marc claiming that Miller is the best closer and that it isn’t close. Debating between who is better between Clase, Miller, or any other elite closer is fine. I’m certainly biased towards Clase so I’m willing to admit that I may be overselling him to a degree and as such I won’t debate the claim that Miller is better. But to act like Miller is in a league of his own is to not do one’s due diligence.
Winn of the Cardinals should be on this list
Yesssss
Crazy that Abraham toro isn’t in this list
Not with these other guys. Only so many players you can fit in a video. Everyone on this list has been better than toro
@@miclvoorhis21
@@miclvoorhis21 The player who hit .282 for the first time in his career, despite usually struggling and lacking playing time, had a notable May performance. Bohm has a history of good performances, making his recent achievement less surprising given his previous seasons where he hit over .274.
@@thebestgomez None of that proves your argument lmfao
Can’t believe Reynaldo Lopez was left off this list. Classic Marc Mets move
Masyn Winn (cards)?!
Lugo went to Centenary???? Literally live down the street from there
Should've added Brice Turang, he's hitting .300 with an ops+ above 120. Compare that to last year where he hit .218 with an ops+ of 60, bro's literally twice as good as he was last year.
No Reese Olson is crazy
Bryan woo left the chat
No tigers starter love is crazy. You could have put Skubal, Reece Olsen, or Flaherty
JEEZ Marc, what's with the Ronel Blanco disrespect?!
