Yeah, the belt slipping off is a bit of an issue that I needed to correct. I did end up printing a part to center the rear belt and that has helped but adding more metal into the drivetrain has been necessary as well. I now have metal diffs front and rear and I've had to move to a metal pinion and I'm pretty sure the printed spur isn't going to need to be upgraded next. Just built a new backyard test track for it... in the middle of editing the video now!
Plastic never last long... I made one also, but moving parts need to made of metal... the belts need a groove, minimum 3mm high. They will always jumping off, especially the rear belt
Hi, i am the guy from the RC thread! :) The rear tensioner must go smooth in his place. Maybe this is your Problem. Your diff is in the right direction. I have an other belt tensioner roll...when you want, i can send you the file!
Hey man thanks! I'll try anything once and your belt tensioner roll sounds like a great place to start. Do you want to post it on rcgroups or message me a link to it?
@@hkeles Hey man, the support group for recovering mk ultra fanatics is over at rcgroups.com. Here's a link to the main mk ultra thread: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2952626-MKUltra-A-free-3D-Printable-4WD-1-10-scale-buggy ... enjoy!
The print is cheap, like $20 in plastic. But the whole project can easily be $300 or more depending on your electronics. If you already have batteries and radios that saves you a lot. We sell kits at RC printer.com if you want to check them out.
The slipping you are hearing is the belt jumping. It looked as though the rear diff didn’t have anything holding the belt cantered.

It brave to name it Mk ultra
i'm not sure if kv is pronounced as kilovolt
You're right, my bad, wrong kv. A motor's kv rating is "constant velocity" or rpm per volt, not kilovolt.
@@rcprinter yep.
Is there a 3d printed buggy that is shaft driven?

can you make a version with a driveshaft? belts seem too risky/difficult to use.
I personally like the belts but if you check the mkultra discord group there are people in there working on a metal drivetrain version.

@@77LaKoS77 sounds good I'll watch out for it.

Can you take one belt off and drive it only RWD?
I don't see why that wouldn't work
How much was the print. And how much was the project

Following this for updates.
Sounds good. Should have the kinks worked out soon and we'll do more demo videos.
Can you add FPV camera on the buggy?
A person could but I don't have the gear yet... 2022 is full of possibilities though!
You tell by the sound that your mesh may be to tight.
Belts need groove...
