BOM?
Great video, can anyone give me details what shaft i need for the prop?
You will need a 4mm stainless steel shaft. Details are here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3328520
Hello from the UK, I stumbled across you video as I was trying to sauce parts for my own build, now looking at one of you kits as the prices are very competitive, love the channel and already thinking of what build to do next.
Thanks!
Awesome build and great choice for the body color. I did have a few questions though... 1) What is the wheel base? 2) Can standard wheels/hubs be used on this build? 3)What is the steering angle? I'm thinking of getting one for drifting.
Hey thanks for the kudos... - Just measured and the wheelbase looks to be about 295mm - The printed wheels this comes with have non-standard axles so regular wheels wouldn't fit but it would be pretty simple to make an adapter to fit a standard 12mm hex... like this: www.printables.com/model/3520-3d-sets-rancher-12mm-hex-adapter - not sure on the steering angle...
@@rcprinter thanks for the reply...I was just wondering if the steering would be fitting for a drift car...or maybe be altered to do so
Hope to build this when I retire in less than two years - will budget getting everything over a few months - including your awesome kit of parts.
Awesome, its a super fun project! Highly recommend it.
Hi there. I think iv got your bot design as looks exactly like yours and even your logo. Did you shrink it down? Just yours looks smaller. What motore did you use if it was bigger? Or as it is. I'm carbon fiber ING the hull as going to reinforce it for rapids at my local river. Great vids mate
hey I didn't shrink it down but I grabbed the model from here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3328520 I tried a number of different motors you can see here: th-cam.com/video/3G5MLaL8eKo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RCPrinter Regardless of what you choose for a motor, you're going to need to figure out some water cooling which I haven't been able to get to yet. Once water cooling is installed I'd probably go back to a standard 540 size motor for simplicity.
My boot ist waterproof what schould i do
you could try painting it, or just run a coat of epoxy over the hull. no matter what you do though you'll probably still get a little water leakage so make sure you use a waterproof esc.
The left tire is on backwards ;) But nice build - the OpenRC Tractor is on my todo list too :)
lol, good catch!
Can you list all the electronics for the rc boat
servo: rcprinter.com/products/20kg-digital-servo-ds3218-with-metal-gears-and-metal-servo-arm here I tested different motors: th-cam.com/video/3G5MLaL8eKo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RCPrinter I find these brushless escs are good for boats: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006645216447.html
@@rcprinter thanks
Could you please list the parts needed to build this
IS AMAZING!!!
glad you like it! try building one yourself: 3dsets.com/product/model-17-sakura-240/
Do you use any Bambu Lab printers?
Not yet but they're the next printer I want to get. I have friends with them and they look pretty foolproof and the prices are great.
Hello, what size tires and shocks did you use for this?
Has anyone tried a TPU track?
I'm sure if you check the discord server people will have tried it but generally this track is much more robust than skeeride 1 so hasn't caused a lot of issues when printed in pla.
Hello, I would like to print the Tarmo5 but I cannot find the printing settings, wall numbers, upper shell layer numbers, lower shell layer numbers and the filling percentage. Thank you for your response.
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a1s7eodWBhlU9FZUoZEDHq--zYOwesbxeX3LxBbktmY/edit#gid=0 just use standard upper and lower layer numbers. All the build details are here: www.reddit.com/r/EngineeringNS/comments/zvellk/tarmo5/
What motors do you use? Lipo is 3S?
For this build I used these: rcprinter.com/products/540-motor-60a-esc-combo-kit but they got pretty hot so I'd try to find similar ones but with a higher T rating
That Motor is TINY 😳
yup the little one blew pretty quick. I'd recommend a standard 540 motor but you definitely need water cooling for this project to be long term successful.
thank you! you awesome human being!
aww shucks
I know this is a little late but I was wondering what length screws you used to attach the jet to the hull and jet nozzle
40mm screws for attaching the jet to the hull and 12mm screws for the end nozzle is what I used although I think 10mm would probably work fine.
@@rcprinter thank. Building it now

Sembra un po' pesante
yessir, she's a pig. You can install a second motor which I think would make it much more fun to drive.
Hey would you be able to email me the parts you used the thingiverse links dont work for me.
Hi i just buy the kit of screw kits for my Rancher :) thanks again for your excellent work man :)
Thanks for the kudos, hope your build is going well.
Have you thought about building this boat. It looks pretty neat. He also has a waverunner. Keep up the great work! th-cam.com/video/Jd92C56Z0c0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8jASSKSiEaLdhWSS
What if i dont use that traxxas front gear set ? or can i print that
I'd say the traxxas front gear is super important for this build. I'd recommend taking a look at the T5 tho, its much more robust.
Do you need the gears if i dont want to make this 4wd?
I guess theoretically if you removed the front driveshaft then you wouldn't need the front gears but I'm not sure how it would perform as 2wd. If you want a 2wd I'd recommend just building the upgraded tarmo5.
What if i print the drive shafts in pla not tpu + control arm or i can buy both ffrom amazon or like aliexpress
TPU driveshafts are important for torque damping in this build. TPU is pretty easy to print, I'd give it a shot. I don't think there's easy off the shelf replacements on amazon unfortunately.
Hello brother can you make one mor dodge challenger for me on dark colour with her interior ❤ please 🥺
Hey man, unfortunately I don't do custom builds for people but I'd recommend getting a printer and trying to build one yourself!
That looks a lot like the Shuswap lake. Wish you guys would make a video explaining how to wire these things though.
This certainly is the shu! That's canoe beach. The 3dsets build guide does a pretty decent job of walking you through how the electronics work in this build. If you have any questions, post in their facebook group (or ours) and you'll get help pretty quick.
¿Where are buy the shock dampers?
Hey nice build what tires and rims did you use?
hello I made the boat in 3d printing did I install a thermal engine in it there is no risk that the ceiling please thank you cordially I am waiting for your return
hello I made the boat in 3d printing did I install a thermal engine in it there is no risk that the ceiling please thank you cordially I am waiting for your return
I am planning on printing this but I want to upscale it to around 150% maybe even 175% I just need to figure out what bearing I will need for the larger parts. any advice you may have on that would be greatly appreciated. I am also still trying to figure out exactly how I will get the motor to work so I am looking at different transmission options. But hopefully when all is said and done I will have around a 1/6th scale monster truck. This was a great video thanks for sharing.
Dude, I don't have a tonne of recommendations for you but wow that sounds like an amazing project. Please send pics when you're done! I had issues with the differentials on this build and also the steering was a bit too lightweight with just the microservos so if you scale it way up you can probably solve those things but finding the right bearings will definiitely be a challenge. good luck!
Great build! What size tires? I went with 100mm and they seem a little small.
I think I used 120 for this build and they seem a little oversized.
Nice job ! I helped makit for this V3, so i'm a little proud to see a new one TEA20 ;)
awesome man! thanks for all your hard work! this is a really fun build.
The body color man wow that awesome, cheers🍻🍻🍻
glad you like it, I wasn't sure at first but I love it now.
where did you get those screwdriver tips? Thanks and great work on this stuff.
Those are MIPS speed tips... they're pretty expensive but you can get cheap hex driver tips on amazon.
Love the RC sled but your driving style in totally non realistic and sporadic. Slow while turning, full throttle on the straits. Try to keep a min speed.
just trying to keep the skiis on the ground :)
Have you ever broke any of youe boats at a print or a glue line?
nope
Should i use a low kv or a high kv motor?
That body color is crazy, what kind of filament is that? Really nice build.👍
that's a tricolor silk pla filament
@@rcprinter Thanks
Hi which bits size you used with the screw kit that you sale online? do you have any link?
These are the most common sizes I use: rcprinter.com/products/hex-screwdrivers-metric If you want tips for your screwdriver check amazon.
I finished mines , I added front and rear lights but the main issue I have is the tires rubbing on the fenders , what size shocks did you use ? And my Max truck have the same issue with the tires …. But they are AWSOME cars
There's shock tower mods in the Sakura files for different size clearance requirements. I used 55mm shocks.
Nice video
I came for the rc build. I stayed for the FUNK!
I like that it does not go TOO fast. I think speed is overrated on RCs.
Fantastic work, dude! It turned out amazing!!! 😃 Some day I'm going to do the same! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I really want to build this but have a 75% finished fj bamboo sitting here already. Your build is gorgeous !
