Red Dead Revolver came out before Gun. Gun however did the open the world Wild West before Redemption did. I don’t think it’s fair to say either franchise rips off the other. They are distinctly different games, especially since Gun is much more serious than than the Red Dead games. Can we not have two Wild West games without defaulting to saying one is a rip off?

MGS3 had a pretty great example. Just as you begin the game, you're given questions asking which MGS game is your favorite. In the original game, I believe it was just for MGS1 and MGS2, while in the enhanced Subsistence version, it also included MGS3 vanilla as an answer. Depending on your choice, MGS1 gave you more stamina, and MGS3 would give you some exclusive camo. But choosing MGS2 would always give you the Raiden mask, a playful jab at the surprise protagonist of that game. I can imagine many fans of Raiden felt pretty attacked by that little Kojima joke

If you face him again, he'll further insult you with something like, "Where's that shiny sword of yours? Oh, that's right, it's in little pieces!" Thankfully, if you beat him the next time, you can retrieve the pieces and have it reforged with additional perks, but does he really have to rub it in?

Finally getting around to play Elden Ring. My reflexes are getting old so I'm playing as a very rolly mage. Those Dagger Claymen are 100% mocking me, even if I haven't died to them.
Ds2 muldron is perfect example of insulting the player, he emote insulting you when you die by him,attack you while still being a barrel and runs to the worst enemies to help him fight you.
The fact that Metal Gear Solid for the PSX isn't on here is criminal. Psycho Mantis literally reads your memory card and your every move... and the only way to beat him is to switch controller ports.

A funny little “go touch grass” joke from the devs of The Crew 2, after playing for 24 hours total, you get an achievement (can’t remember what the name is, may be Virtual Reality) with a description of something along the lines of “You’ve been in our virtual world for 24 hours… we just thought you should know.”
Games mock the players when they get released in an unfinished state. That is the biggest insult.
Finally getting around to play Elden Ring. My reflexes are getting old so I'm playing as a very rolly mage. Those Dagger Claymen are 100% mocking me, even if I haven't died to them.

Ds2 muldron is perfect example of insulting the player, he emote insulting you when you die by him,attack you while still being a barrel and runs to the worst enemies to help him fight you.
The fact that Metal Gear Solid for the PSX isn't on here is criminal. Psycho Mantis literally reads your memory card and your every move... and the only way to beat him is to switch controller ports.
