Today we have a VERY special episode of Heavy Recoil and probably our best gameplay video yet! In this video, Opie and I are playing as part of a 6 man squad. All six of us were using the Battle-Link comms so that we can easily collaborate across the entire field. GGBRs here in the Colorado mountain area are just hard to run a lot of the year. The cold weather makes them goofy and unpredictable to run. That's why my gun has sat unused for a long, long time.
But its back to a running condition and I forgot just how cool it is to shoot. 40rds per mag is hard to get used to again, especially with the advent of the PTS EPM1 M4 mags that hold 250rds. LOL! And then load that into a P* F2 engine MK18 build and so maybe thats why the MP7 doesn't get a lot of play. :(

It's always nice to see gameplay videos but I'd like to see more tech/reviews videos, like you did with the KWA 416 or the VFC MP7. I'd especially like to have your take on the WE MP5 once you get enough field time with it to warn about pros, cons and fixes. Keep up the great GBBR work !
Yeah I would like to make those kinds of videos as well but with TH-cam’s new policies on “gun content” means videos where there is any disassembly of a real or fake gun will be demonetised..Considering the amount of work it takes to make these videos, it’s hard to justify the investment..We will continue to make these types of videos in the future but they’ll probably only be available to channel members or Patereon supporters

10/10 gameplay and production. Did you have to do smt special in terms of gas or mag mods to run the AK at these temperatures?
Thanks heaps mate! 👊 I took the W&S full travel steel bolt carrier out and put the stock (lighter) bolt carrier back in with the original (short) travel. Also put a lighter spring in it. Add to that a tight bore (6.01) inner barrel, 1J nozzle and nuprol 4.0 gas and she was operating like a champion in approx 6-7 Celsius

Would be cool if i could run battlelink with active hearing protection, for example sordins have a plug socket which would work perfectly. Like instead of the speaker, have it plug into the headset

Depends if you get a good one…QC hasn’t been great lately. Both of mine needed some work before I could field them but they’re great now!

Thanks mate! Yeah we’ve played there before. The decor and lighting of the indoor field is insane! But from a gameplay point of view, the field is quite limited due to layout of the map.
Keep going, Fellas! I've been out of airsoft for about 7 years and have been thinking about getting back into it as a hobby and training supplement. Your GBBR footage has really caught my attention. Playing with an AEG felt kind of un-real. I'm looking at snatching up a GHK M4 if I can find one. Thoughts?

Go for it, I've recently switched to gbb with a cyber gun gbbr m4 licensed by colt with vfc vmags and I absolutely love it, so long as you take care of it, you will have a lot of fun
Do it man! The GHK’s are pretty great. Just gotta keep your fingers crossed that you don’t get a lemon like I did with my 74MN.. QC aside though, the system is great
Just be sure to read up about it, currently it's GHKs worst model when it comes to QC issues... A good source to check is the Heavy Recoil Club on discord

What’s your upgrade for that sexy 74u?
For this gameplay just the maple leaf hop up + 6.01 inner barrel + 1J nozzle. I also have the W&S full travel, steel bolt kit but that’s not really an “upgrade” especially in winter since it affects the gas performance. It was cold that day, so I ran the original bolt carrier with short travel and it performed great! :)
