Gota say always love you content. Quick question on the Comms setup, being Bluetooth are you all constantly on transmit and receive or do you have built in PTT function for send and receive? Keep up the great content.
Thanks heaps mate! 🙏The units are connected with an open channel so you can communicate without having to constantly go for a PTT. In a CQB environment like in the video you just saw, there isn’t enough time to keep fumbling with a PTT. The kind of fast and clear communication you saw in the video isn’t possible with radios. The whole time we were communicating we had both hands on the weapon, clearing rooms and even engaging enemy players. Adding a PTT button would defeat the purpose of this particular comms option.
@@TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT many thanks for the swift response, are you planning on adding a PTT function? Open Comms has good benefits, however would love to have a PTT option. Again great video and nice showing off how the Comms work and add to this type of game play :)
@@stephenadkins6425 You’re welcome! :) We’re thinking more along the lines of a small wireless mute button that can be mounted on the hand guard to give users a fast way to mute either just their own mic or the entire system. But at this early stage we can’t say when it will be ready. It all depends on wether there’s a demand in the market for our product of course! But we really believe that these kind of comms being used in airsoft is inevitable..
@@TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT slightly late reply but that would be an excellent idea, having used weapon and kit mounted ptt, a mute button would be good just so you can get the break in Comms for whatever reason. 03:28 Het spijt me geweldig, maar een gezichtsmasker is op de meeste velden waar ik speel, verplicht! 03:28 I am truly sorry, but a facemask is on most fields where I play, mandatory! And once again, a very fun video to watch! I love it when playing with GBB's!
battle-link looks really cool, seems super easy to use. Nice video as always. I have had the same situation as Opie with the face protection many times, if you care so much about getting shot in the face, just wear a mask...
@@Basketball13Sam Radio sound quality is often not great, but the biggest problem with radios is that you have to fumble to find the push to talk, press and hold the button to transmit, wait half a second so you don't get cut off - and then you can talk (all the while pressing down on the button). When you're in the middle of an action or holding a corner, pressing down on that button often just isn't really an option because you want to have two hands on your weapon and focus on your engagement. So basically I just end up using the radio mostly when I want to regroup after I respawn. (Another down side of radios is that only one person can transmit at a time)
Hey guys, great work. This Battle-link seems nice but it is not clear to me how it functions. So, this needs to be paired with the phone via Bluetooth, the Battle-link acts as a receiver and the phone as an emitter ? Or is it the new Bluetooth Mesh based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology combined with Bluetooth 5.0? Based on what I know the theoretical effective distance is 300m for Bluetooth 5.0 and if it is like the present technology it will translate into a stable connection at 30-40m. Unless there is some sort of a repeater or so. Anyway this sounds great and a couple of friends of mine and myself are interested in this but need more information regarding the technology. Thank you.
Hey Justin! Thanks heaps for your comment! Yes, you are correct, the units use BT low energy tech with BT 5.0 and connect to each other. In our testing the units maintained connection at 250-300 meters with clear line of sight. On fields with the worst conditions, we found effective range was between 40-50m (heavy reinforced concrete structures) and in average conditions around 100-120. Of course performance is going to vary depending on the environment but we found that even though we occasionally lose connection (mostly when one of us goes to spawn on large fields) we were always connected when we needed to be since you and your squad mates will be usually operating within 50 meters of each other. And for CQB fields the range is more than enough! Thanks for your question!
I always wear face protection. So not worth it to loose teeth. And everyone gets to choose for themselves. But if you don't want to wear it, then you also don't get to complain about getting shot in the face! What a dork to even say anything... Irony much? Cool video! And I showed these your comms system to my team mates. They all thought it was a neat idea, but also said they didn't want to hear everything everyone says while playing. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing to not have to deal with a PTT. LOL! Do you find that you regulate what you say out loud more while wearing this system?
Yeah man, we feel the same way about face protection.. Thanks for your interest in the Battle-Link Units! It depends how many players are linked. Of course a bit of discipline will go a long way in allowing you guys to communicate clearly but that also applies to using radios. There’s always going to be a trade off. If you want to be able to fight and communicate at the same time then you need a voice activated system and this issue will always arise when you go with that over a PTT. From my experience, as you get more used to playing with open comms, you naturally get better at using them. Opie and I don’t even notice the comms anymore. The human brain is excellent at fading sounds into the background when focusing on other things. And the more you use the units, the better you get at doing that.
Sick gameplay as always, so badly wish that we had fields like that in Canada. That guy in purple was such a twat, same with the no-facepro guy. Worst part about any hobby are these kinds of people. Hope to see some more videos soon!
Shoot in the face or not? This is a very old question. Here in Brazil the older fields, with older players, usually limit the headshot, to only when the head is exposed. And this rule has always been respected. Nowadays with the Speedsoft gang, who use real armor and very high fps and rof and shoot indiscriminately this problem has become more critical. I use electronic sights from good brands, I spend a lot on it and I want to use them. Wearing a mask that covers the entire face makes it impossible to use them. Airsoft is not just about eliminating the opponent, but also about respecting all currents of thought or soon we will have to separate the games by categories.
That’s one way to look at it..Another would be to say that we are all responsible for our own safety. If you don’t wear face protection, that’s your own choice and you have to be the one to live with the results. That’s called responsibility… I don’t ever aim for faces if I don’t have to but I’m not an expert marksman and we’re shooting plastic balls so…
@@TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT exactly. Headshots happen, whether intentional or not. I see it as my own responsibility to limit exposure to skin on my head, or anywhere on my body really. Of course trying to avoid them as much as possible is still the way to go
@Dick Izzinya I have noticed that at the field I play at it's usually the speedsofter types that immediately start whining about everything, yelling at others while they themselves overshoot like crazy with tapped Hicapa. Speaking of HPA taps, for some reason their hits always hurt more than the rest, almost like they increased their Joule post FPS test
Depends on how loud the gun is. Our heavy bolt gbbr’s do make it though the noise cancellation but honestly, it just blends into the background and doesn’t bother us at all.
Imagine complaining about being hit lol, when you play airsoft you sign up to get hit and hit others, no reason to be upset that you got hit. (There are of course some exceptions to this, people like kicking mustang who swap out to springs way higher than chrono than intentionally going for heads is just a dick move but Opie did absolutely nothing wrong)

Question how would you lower the fps on the gas mp7 for the cqb fields
The V2 loading nozzle comes with an NPAS
What airsoft replica was hugh using in this video it looks interesting
Question for Hugh :
Just want to know why you went for VFC and not GHK for that URGI CQB GBBR ? Only preference, for price or performance wise ?
Hey, how can we find the field?
What happened to the GHK AKs?
I’ve done actually done some more aesthetic upgrades on them and I’m very happy with the result. Filming a gameplay with one this weekend! 🙂
goedemorgen waar is dit veld ?
