I think that Diana's voice is perfect for these kind of songs, Julia sang this in a higher key than the original, Diana started on a lower key than the original and then she sang this on the same key as the original.
Also Diana has a crazy range there is no song that can can not sing.
She never went in to the upper range here really, on the song "the day you..." that she sang with Brandon Stone she goes in to her upper range.
Ok. I do agree with the fact that here, she didn't reach the upper range.

@@michaelreactions On this show the point is to sing a cover that is very close to the original. To your point, when Diana covers a song she and her team always adapt it to her voice (e.g. Can't Help Falling in Love).

Вся концепция данного шоу - увидеть реакцию исполнителей после поднятия зеркальной стены .Практически -это экспромт ,у них нет совместных репитиций ,что безумно сложно .Как в такой ситуации ,слыша писк в наушниках, вокально не передавить и подстроиться друг к другу ? Девчонки справились на отлично .

I honestly don't understand the negative comments here. Probably some people want you to gush over everything Diana Ankudinova does, no matter what.
If Diana did this song solo, I'm sure it would be a different arrangement to bring out the best in her voice. That said, she's better suited to some songs than others, that's perfectly normal for any artist. She can sound great in any genre's, but her real vocal magic is in folk or ethnic rock. Her timbre is simply made for it. Heck, I'd love to hear her sing Viking music!
She chooses her own path and experiments with many styles and I will follow and support her no matter where her vocal path leads her. Let others think what they like. Thanks for your honest views.

Вы, наверное, правы - исполнение не совсем адаптировано к уровню Дианы. Но, на мой взгляд, недостало эмоциональной сверхглубины, которой так славны некоторые представления Дианы. Она всё-таки очень молодая девушка, а эта песня - о страстной и тёмной женской сути. Лишь в конце небольшой кусочек: птичьи крики-стоны Дианы дают намёк на то, какой могла бы быть её сольная версия.
Very strongly disagree. I think that not only can Diana sing anything (adapting them and making them suit her), this kind of song is especially suited to her voice as the original artist also sang it low. Diana has a different timbre so even more impressive. It is a very rare song which would allow for Diana’s entire range to shine, she herself said nobody is writing such songs. I really don’t know what people are hearing when they listen to this duet. Some say the girls sound similar and others say you can clearly make out Diana’s voice since it is so unique but the song doesn’t suit her.
Well, I understand your points. What I meant is that she has such a specific voice, tone, that maybe this song is not one where Diana's voice can fully be used...but that's mainly a matter of taste. Thanks.
You're probably right - the performance is not quite adapted to Diana's level. But, in my opinion, it lacked the emotional super depth that some of Diana’s performances are so famous for. She is still a very young girl, and this song is about the passionate and dark feminine essence. Only at the end is a small piece: Diana's bird cries and moans give a hint of what her solo version could be like.

У Дианы вышел в 2022 году альбом её собственных песен с названием "Д.А.". Так что вы не правы в том что у неё нет своих песен. Она пишет лирические песни. Последняя ее собственная песня в клипе называется "Перегорела".

If Diana changed a manner, she could sound either similar to Yulia or man-like.
Here she made a necessary contrast.
I could agree, sometimes a voice and manner she is choosing did not match the song (she always has several options), but not in the case.

@@michaelreactions I can't agree. There was several hours of her improvised performances last year and some was almost perfect, if she had arranged it properly at once. On the other hand, some of completely new songs was not perfect, in my opinion.
This performance was three rehearsals performance and she didn't sing the song before.
As usual, sometimes it could fit at once, sometimes not.
I completely disagree with you. Toni Braxton, like Diana, has a contralto voice, Yulia Parshuta has a mezzo voice, Yulia Parshuta had a hard time singing in the lower parts, so she was given slightly higher parts to sing. Where Julia dropped to low notes, her voice immediately lost.
maybe because you didn't get what I meant : I wasn't talking about their range, but about their "tone" or "color"...I'm not sure if these are the "technical" words : i'm not a vocal coach. but you know what I mean Yulia has a more straightforward tone, while Diana has a more "velvet" one.

It’s just that in the song Diana got mostly the low parts, and Yulia got the higher ones. We could judge without assumptions only if each of them sang a song solo. And so it turns out to be a matter of taste, but I listened to a professional analysis of this performance, and a professional vocal coach pointed out that the complexity of what Diana did was significantly higher than the places where Yulia performed in a higher position.
You should always take into account that digital processing and sound compression degrades the richness of overtones, while a more direct, sharp sound loses less in quality.

Категорически не согласна с вами.Диана может спеть что угодно,ба еще как спеть.Именно эта песня идеально подходит для ее голоса.Я прослушала оригинал этой песни,у Дианы иТони полное голосовое совпадение.Юлия выдавливала из себя низы,и она подражала голосу Тони.А Диана пела легко и естественно.Так что вы не правы,и нечего говорить что голос Юли похож на Тони.
