What you heard of in this song (Can't help falling in love) is not the highest nor the lowest she can go she was only 18 years old when she sang this.
As others said already she is not an Opera singer but she can absolutely sing Opera like the best Opera singers out there she certainly has both the skills and the knowledge to do it, if you want to hear her sing Opera then search for: Diana Ankudinova "Fly away on wings of wind"
You can say that Diana's voice is the rarest of the rare jewels that exist on this Earth, her natural voice is deep, her vocal type is Contralto, that is the deepest and rarest female vocal type (it is the rarest even if we include the male vocal types), further more she is classified as a Dramatic Contralto which is the deepest, darkest and most powerful of the contraltos (that is even rarer), she is also polyphonic she is able to resonate with herself producing more than one notes in different registers that gives the effect of hearing multiple voices when she sings (This is what you people wanted to say but you could not explain it), very few people can utilize this ability like she does, this is the main reason on why people always get goosebumps when they hear her sing (thus the nickname Queen of goosebumps).
Her range in also crazy for her age, she can sing in 5 Octaves from the second to the sixth, her full range as we have witnessed it right now is 3 and a half Octaves from A2 to D6 and she can easily switch between any note there on the fly because her vocal agility is crazy.
So she is a Contralto that can fully cover the range from the male Tenor up to both Mezzo and Soprano female vocal types and we will see her evolve way more because she is just 20 years old, a Contralto's voice is considered young even at the age of 30.
Of course she has mastered her vocal instrument like no other, you will see her do things with her voice that you would thought that they are impossible, things that even Dimash never even dreamed of attempting.
But at the end of the day no matter how much anyone talks about her technical skills the number one most impressive thing about her is her magical ability to transport the listener to her own world of music, her artistry on the stage is unprecedented she goes in to a trance when she sings as she immerses herself and becomes the song itself, you will often find your self glued to her every gesture even if you do not understand the language you are listening to and she has sang in a lot of them English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Russian it does not matter because you always get the full experience from just watching her art.
You should search for her life's story it is very inspirational.
So have a good time discovering this generational talent, This is what a true genius in her field looks like, it really does not even matter what you choose to hear from her, you will not find a single song that will not leave you with your mouth open, her voice is a drug once you get hooked there is no going back to Kansas.

Guys, this is Diana! With her voice, she can offer you soft velvet, quiet, gentle polyphony, unsuspected heights, but she can also collapse the hall. Sometimes I think he should sing without a microphone if he lets loose that rocking contralto!
I have listened to this masterpiece millions of times! I have seen almost all the world reactions to it. There is not mush difference about the reactions. Almost all of them are the same: They say this is out of this world! And in my opinion this is the best song cover of the all time! no one in the world can sing this song like this. If anyone thinks that I am wrong, please name ONE! Even Angel Diana I believe doesn't completely know what she has done in this song! She is extremely humble! Greetings from Scotland! What you just experienced is the Diana effect! Known worldwide as "The Queen of Goosebumps" for very obvious reasons! Able to bring tough guys to their knees in tears, make people speechless and unable to think properly! But you 4 guys already know. So, here she was just 18yo, but Diana is 20yo currently and I've been following her since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 5+ octave range and it's increasing. She also naturally sings with polyphonic overtones so it sounds like many voices at the same time! Able to sing in any genre with ease, even RAP! To understand this Russian vocal phenomenon a little better, here is a brief backstory of her tragic but very inspirational young life:-
Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) she dragged her to a bus stop with a broken collarbone and abandoned her, saying "Survive if you can" A passing relative took her in but because she cried constantly (naturally with a broken collarbone) she took her to the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. *1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage!*
This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. She is a "dramatic contralto", the deepest female singing voice. Amazingly, she can also sing alto, mezzo soprano, and soprano, seemlessly, as AJ said. I've seen dozens of reactions to Diana's performance since it's release two years ago and this was by far the best. The look of shock and awe on all four faces was priceless. Diana's abilities are truly unique.

Thanks for a great reaction to Diana (not Diane as in your video title). Just to clarify, yes Diana is now 20 years old, however, this performance was from September 2021, when she was 18. Diana was born in the far east of Russia, but now lives and studies in Moscow. She is not an opera singer, although she has had professional vocal coaching for the last 15 years. Initially she started singing in an attempt to improve her speech - she had a bad stutter, which was due to the abuse she had suffered as a young child.
Diana is comfortable singing in multiple genres from folk via rock and jazz to dance. If you want to listen to her again, may I suggest a centuries old Russian folk song called "Реченка" or "Rechenka" which translates to something like "My Sweet River". This link is for her first performance of the song on a Russian TV show called "You Are Super" (a talent show for children from disadvantaged backgrounds). Yes. Before this performance, I knew she could go fairly low for a girl her age but that descent she pulls off during Rechenka absolutely blew my mind. I did not know that she could go THAT LOW at that age until that moment. WOW!

There’s a lot of her performances where the staging has an elemental component. I’ve seen screens project tornadoes, the big water ball here, a moonlit forest, frost at her footsteps as if she was Elsa, etc. It’s easy to see why. There’s this raw, primal element to Diana that’s just a natural part of her. As others have said, Diana started singing and performing at a young age. She’s great in those other performances, but she’s even better here. I am always in the mood to listen to Diana.

Diana, an ancient Soul perhaps from Earth or from Space! Diana once said when she sings in a trance and it shows. Often at such performances, she does not immediately come to her senses, as it were, slowly. Diana, like Dimash, Ancient Souls incarnated on Earth! Very talented, they sing in many languages, dance beautifully and compose songs themselves, play musical instruments. Lead people to Goodness, Light. Each soul has its own path on Earth, for experience. Much respect and admiration for these Ancient Souls!
She is absolutely divine, and it’s a joy to watch people go through the same range of emotions that I did when I first heard her lol. Her life story is almost unbelievable.
I hope you guys will check out the end of that video. The remarks she got over that performance were all very positive, everybody loves her (even that one guy who sat there like a statue during her performance). The judges were also contestants for that show, and Diana was also one of the judges.
This was the first episode out of nine episodes that season. Diana was eighteen when she performed this, the youngest contestant/ judge on the show at the time. Believe it or not, she has still improved just since then. It is true that she has been singing since she was five BUT there is a reason for that. If you saw the Wiki for her, you likely already know, but it was a sad situation for her. She had it ROUGH. She bounced back from something that would be absolutely horrific for any kid.
If there is ANYBODY on Earth who fully deserves to succeed and be world-famous for abilities that they had to work so hard for, it would be Diana. I don't know her in person at all, I don't know anything outside of her voice in all the videos or what I have read about her, but I am so proud of her and I'm just glad to be on Earth at the same time as this young lady.

Just want to let you know she can sing any genre perfectly. She’s a really fun, respectful and an INCREDIBLE Vocalist. I’ve been following her for five years…she just keeps getting better and better with every song. Her vocal range has improved. Please be aware of “copyright”…the NTV Network is sticky about it. She did start vocal training at five years old due to the violent abuse she suffered by her biological mother and eventually was adopted from an orphanage by her new forever mother who was told by a doctor that it would improve her ability to speak and fixing her impediment. Diana is a polyphonic and well studied... not an opera singer. If you are not familiar, there is a person on YT who demonstrates singing more than one note at a time. Mind blowing. Different from using back up singers, wich is done at one small point, but mainly it is all Diana and that technique, additionally she has 5 octave range and not just contralto, but dramatic contralto, the rarest of all female voice type. ❤
