What kills me is the response to this trailer has mostly been angry MRAs demanding to know why Ka was made a female. It's amazing, what idiots will jump on these days.
blackanimelover21 Well, I chalk that up to just another sign of the poor creativity of Hollywood. Here they are, making remakes and revisits of very old properties rather than making anything new. They're banking on people's nostalgia to make money, versus taking a risk on an untested concept. I'm not against these sorts of movies, but I do wish there was more of a balance between this sort of thing and more original ideas.
Pretty good trailer and I like how Mowgli looks like Mowgli. This Ka doesn't sound as distinctly creepy as the animated version but it might be better in the actual movie. And I like your excitement from the trailer. Anywho, I'm looking forward to this!
Jazmine Greene I can understand that as the original was more comedic coupled with the less threatening animation style. I'll wait until I see the movie before any final judgments.
Jazmine Greene Haha, I like your comparison. Though Shere Khan was definitely scary in the original and I wonder how threatening he'll be in the live action.
Huh. Warner Brother's is apparently releasing a British live-action of Jungle Book called Jungle Book Origins in 2017? With Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan. This might be one of those movie situations where movies based around the same thing come out at the same time. Ex. The Wild and Madagascar and others Whose will be better I wonder? Disney or Warner Brother's?

fireluigi12 It's arbitrary. Why does it matter at all? Any character in this could be gender swapped and it wouldn't change anything.
John Snake Oh yeah? Well, I demand to know why you demand to know why I demand to know what they demand to know!
John Snake Yeah, you're right. Sometimes people can't recognize the most _obvious_ signs, and those people you just gotta ignore.
Aksum Princess Tom Cruise didn't play a Japanese Samurai. Have you even seen that movie?

I'm also curious on how the actor plays Mowgli who I googled is Neel Sethi, a 10 year-old Indian American. ^¬^

Jazmine Greene Haha, I get ya'! Voices can be really appealing. :3

Gamer Reactor Probably Disney but I haven't seen it yet but I have heard good things about it. Let's see what you got Warner Brothers!
