It showed how an average guy was outed and made the best of his situation and overcame it and came out with the same friends in the end... Plus his parents accepted him which was a huge plus. It was very positive and shined a different light on the young LGBT community and the straight people could watch it and not feel uncomfortable.
I like Love, Simon because it's a romcom and it is the first gay movie that felt good. No HIV, promiscuous sex, and tragic ending. Maybe the book could give it more justice.
Why are people so obsessed with that movie. Meaningful, Gripping and surprisingly unpredictable. So practical - a realistic movie in the literal sense. Wonderfully acted by Josh Wiggins - Realistic acting in the most true sense. I Could not praise this movie enough.

Frankie leaves it on the bicycle when he returns it to Ballas. Did Frankie give it to Ballas for the first time when he returns the bike?
I really enjoyed the journey of these characters in a modern story, told without being judgemental, respectfully developed and sensitive in many ways ...
They do exist in the real world, but they are few and far between. And even if you have met someone like this, you might not know it because they are often too shy or insecure to let their true colors show.
Philip John it wasn't sad. They didn't end up together. But the movie subtly showed that they have feelings for each other. It was more about self acceptance and discovery.
Philip John yeah maybe if there was a sequel, they would end up together. But this movie ended with both boys accepting their sexuality but they're still figuring things out at their own pace.
Giant Little Ones was honestly one of the most honest and realistic teen films I’ve ever seen. I’d highly recommend it to anyone whose sick of teenagers being glamorized and wants to see something more authentic.

Am I the only one thinking that this movie has a great start and development but then the ending is very confusing? I always thought they would show a lot more, like: how Franky and Natasha's relationship is going to continue, what will happen with Franky's ex, and, most importantly, how Franky and Ballas's friendship will end up. Ending the movie with Franky returning Ballas his bike with that "thing" saying something like "I'll love you forever" or whatever it was, and then shooting the flare gun, which was something related to their friendship, made me confused and kept me wondering if they will be friends again or not. I would suggest you go watch the rest... the story gets even better and more emotionally-charged as it goes on. It's an awesome film! :D

As a straight 16yr old guy I enjoyed this movie. It really showed that best friends will always somehow overcome downs. Showed how family is important. And it showed that u should look for a girl because u like her, not just for sex.
I liked a lot of things about this movie, just not how they handled the violence. Spoiler: The Ballas character tried to literally beat Franky's brains out. Had the other boy not tried to stop him, the result could have been serious life altering brain damage or death. Yet all we see is Ballas having to speak to the cops in his own home. No arrest, no apparent restraining order, as Ballas goes right back to the same school, not even his father talking to him about seeing a therapist. And while the ending is left open, there are signs that they will repair their friendship. I found this unrealistic and an inappropriate way of handling an extremely violent reaction by an individual in need of immediate mental healthcare.
Doesn't change the fact that Bisexuality is not really addressed properly in movies or any media and we are often labeled as simply confused about what we want.

I just finish watching this and it was okay, a 6 out of 10, I have watched a fair share of Gay films and series & to be honest I'm a sucker for a happy ending so this one, I kind of hoped that maybe Franky would have found love with someone else [preferably a guy no offence to Tash] maybe rub it in Ballas face & make him realise he loves Franky since he's the one who 'Went Down' Maybe even feel better if Franky beat Ballas up too & see how he feels. Im feeling really RAGED right now & it happens when I watch a movie I can't help but watch over & over again. Maybe bring out a sequel or something, show Franky happy & Ballas miserable, I don't know, just anything to get ME out of this UGH!!!
I need a second movie I need to know what happens next Ballas need to apologize to Franky and tell him how he feels
