  • in this we will share how to build a preset with the Valeton GP 200. While making the preset we will also discuss how to change the order of the blocks in the signal chain, ow long does it take to change a preset, how to assign the expression pedal to the wah wah, how to work together with patch mode and stomp mode, etc. So I hope you enjoy and please don’t forget to subscribe and ring the bell, as it would really help me to make more videos like this!

Thank you, Leo, you're the only guy that does an extensive review and setup of the GP200 while the rest are just unboxing and testing factory presets. Got mine last week and in my opinion, it's a good buy, the sound that I get from the GP200 using my own setting is awesome in my opinion. But I use my own IRs too.

The gap in changing presets is very acceptable
Considering you're changing the settings of an entire patch configuration
If you're performing live or using in the studio shouldn't matter
If you need seamless changes just set up a patch logically so your stomps work for you in order to have a flexible patch which is more than doable with this amazing board! At the price this goes for
    its hands down timelessly incredible!!!!

I got a GP200 for Christmas (great deal!). The preset switching is absolutely fine, but I'm missing a global tempo or auto save feature. If you switch presets and go back to previous one, tempo and effect settings are always back to default. Which is great if you want it that way, but it would be nice to have the option to change it. Especially in a live setting.

II think it´s an outstanding tool for many gigs. Even professional gigs in professional places. I think it´s just a question of sitiin´ enough time to improve patches, settings, and try to really know that incredible tool. As far as I´m concerned, I think you don´t need 690 amps and 79.000 effectc to have a good sound.
One more time, You´re my hero, Mister Leo.
    Waiting for some new videos.

This is very cool. I use the control buttons normally, with four patches in each bank but this gives me the idea of having two patches in a bank and using the right side buttons as four stomp boxes.

Sounds really good. Appears to be fairly easy, once you understand the UI layout, to edit and create patches. The patch switch delay time is not bad. I think Valeton got a lot of things right on this unit. If they implemented Bluetooth app control (similar to Firehawk FX) and more IR banks this would be the POD Go killer. To some people, it may be that already. Great video as usual Leo. God bless and rock on 🎸👍😎

Sounds good and it’s a good unit for gigs, the only thing I didn’t like about it was the scenes it had a audio gap switching between scenes. If it was seamless then this would be on the top for giging for low budget. I hope that they improve the scene feature in the future with no audio Gaps

@Leo Gibson I need 2 channels, clean and overdriven, with and without effects, on occasion. My Vox VT20+, which is very many years old, switches from a clean channel to an overloaded one in one song - without delay. Valeton GP200, judging by the review, does this with a terrible and very noticeable delay. I was ready to buy it, it's a good thing I didn't! Thanks!

Thnx. What I am missing in this GP200 is to see the actual ame of the effect that is bound to a knob. The (way) more expensive competitors nowadays have that and itś a gret addition imho. furthermore, editing till seems quite cumbersome to me. I won't be getting this one.

Hello Leo! Thank you for all your videos, they are really informative!! Could you possibly revisit the GP200 and the new firmware / software features? We'd love your feedback on the new udpates and features. Also, suggestions you may have on the Global Settings EQ in the unit for output conditioning. I have seen a few people commenting about the unit being overly bright? I havent gotten that impression, but it would be nice to have your thoughts on that. Oh, and would love your comments on the unit's reverb and chorus options, i feel that is one of the things the unit is somewhat weak on and could use more improvements. Especially since Valeton has the Coral pedal series which sound pretty good, but i dont see that being implemented here. I would love to have more well known chorus and better sounding reverbs from more popular offerings. Thanks and keep the great content coming!

On the delay/latency between the patch or bank switching, someone posted a recording of the switch and Valeton seems to have coded a "fade in" that im almost certain could be removed or improved to make it shorter so that when you switch it woud hit at the preset's volume level, and even if there is still a little gap between the switch, removing the fade in would definitely shorten that gap a lot and improve it even more!

Hi Leo, a quick question- Can we keep 2 or 3 distortion pedals in the same patch to use it like a stacked distortion model in a pedal board where you could increase the gain of the distortion through footswitch just like having 2 or 3 separate distortion pedals in a pedal board? I am thinking about getting the larger version of Valeton GP 200 where I would have multiple footswitch and I kind of like to have at least 2 distortion pedals with different gain levels.
