How have these fakes that go for $800 - $1500 gotten so good that the local AD and his watch repair guy were even fooled by one that was purchased from Shengzhen, China? This also had a fake box and NFC chip card that actually brought up the correct Rolex page.
One factual error here. Rolex do in fact manufacture all their own movements. It's true that historically (in the 1930s), they used to source all their movements from an external supplier called Aegler, (a company that specialized in watch movements), which had a longstanding partnership with Rolex and the status of being Rolex’s exclusive supplier of movements. However Rolex eventually acquired Aegler, which then became part of Rolex’s manufacturing structure. And since then, Rolex has produced its own movements in-house. One exception to this however was in 1988 to 2000, when Rolex used Zenith's "El Primero" movement for one of its models: the Rolex Daytona chronograph. Zenith were renowned for their high-frequency chronograph movements. Rolex did however make significant modifications to it, before installing it in the Daytona, by slowing down its frequency from 36,000 vibrations per hour (vph) to 28,800 vph in order to increase the movement's durability and service interval. Rolex also modified or replaced more than half of the original components in the movement in order to meet their stringent quality standards. This modified movement was called the Rolex Caliber 4030. It was used in the Daytona until around 2000, when Rolex introduced its first fully in-house chronograph movement, the Caliber 4130, which it has used in the Daytona ever since. So, while Rolex did source movements from Zenith for the Daytona model during that period, the majority of Rolex’s other movements, including those for their time-only and date models, were produced in-house. The transition to fully in-house movements across all models was completed when Rolex introduced the Caliber 4130 in the Daytona, marking the end of its reliance on Zenith for movements. Rolex today as a company that's well known for its vertical integration, which means that they control almost every stage of production, including movements, cases, bracelets, and dials. This level of in-house production is rare among watch brands and is one of the reasons why Rolex is so respected in the industry.

It was "easy" to see that the right one was real (at least from that spot on angle you gave us) by seeing that the left watch cyclops zoom level is a lot more zoomed than the right ones. And knowing that it's very hard to get the 2.5x zoom that official Rolex watches use, I guessed based on that
Does anyone know if the eBay authentication takes off the case back? They say they “look at the movement.” I have come across anecdotes where people say their purchases were flagged for a fake rotor or some other interior part. I’m looking at Subs on eBay but I’m afraid of winding up with a Franken-watch. It’s been hard to find a definite answer.
0:55 if you look at the crown guards, you’ll see that the guards overlap the crown on the fake. On the right the crown guards are more angular and don’t overlap the crown.
Greetings! Firstly, many thanks for your videos. My question is, what is the situation with cloning and precious metals? Is it safe thing to buy not from AD golden models? Are there clones made of gold? Not talking about gilded things, because they are obviously two times lighter than real.
I got it correct because the magnification on the fake watch was off. Also the glass edging on the fake was too wide compared to a real Rolex. I wonder if the X line up and if the laser dots on the 6oclock are dots at different depths or if it is etched on top.
So why buy the real one? i have the fake and nobody knows it's fake, and much cheaper to repair if it breaks, i have 15 years old top quality fakes, and they still look and run great.
Seek out the watch that actually has value for money, to begin with, and understand the psychology of marketing, and you wont be “fooled”. You can be fooled if you simply seek the watch that sells 40-60 times it’s manufacturing cost, as opposed to double it’s manufacturing cost, that this expert cannot distinguish whether being “real” or not from two feet away! Case closed! ( no pun intended)
I've compared a few real Rolex's to fake and the dead giveaway starts with the band. The band on the fakes (that I've seen) always feels lighter, less refined and less polished.
My fake Tudor gmt fooled 2 watch repair guys at 2 different locations. Granted they did not open it and look at the movement though. They did size it for me and play with the clasp and gmt function. After I said it was a replica they were surprised and looked at it again.
The bezel insert on the fake is cleaner and more crisp. Also the red blue transition is better. The latter always looks very blurred and near black on a real Rolex. The best rolex is a real rolex with a fake bezel insert.
I watch with interest, I like the idea of owning one. I have a real one but this would allow me to wear it during the day not worrying about scratching it while doing my work, also not worried about losing it or god forbid getting mugged. I’m sure they know the shortfalls of there clone..however the point is that there 100% impossible to tell looking from 1 meter distance and built with serious dollar constraints…amazing 🤷🏻♂️
I cannot wear a fake where I live (in Switzerland), especially if travelling through airports. However, a nice homage...no issue at all. Prefer to wear my homage watches over the real thing when out in town or on business travel. I value my arm much more than any watch.

Scary as you haven’t even used the best Pepsi rep out there… I’ve seen “franken” watches which are super clone based with real parts. Should make a video on one of those
you can also tell the bracelet clasp. the fake clasp has a very round edges on the clasp while the real one is very sharp and you can feel it. at 6:14 you can tell by the pics on the real one is very sharp while fake is very dull edges.
I don't get it. Every fake VS real video I see uses Microscopes. I know of no one walking around with a Microscope to authenticate my watch on my wrist or otherwise! They all are spitting hairs. I would take a fake as the way I see them in these vids for 50X less. If it breaks, throw out and just buy another one that is upgraded....
A variation of .2 of a mm between watches? A KUKA KRC1 1.5 ton industrial robot made 25 years ago has the same accuracy epeatability in 6 axis over 5.4 metres not 12 to 15 millimetres of watch case size.
When you buy a Super Clone you will loose money? But you get to enjoy the watch. You loose money if you pay what the flippers are asking. These clones raise a lot of serious questions. Like, if they can produce a watch that’s 98% accurate copy to an original to the market place, why can’t Rolex? If the Super Clone can be produced at a fraction of the cost are original watches over priced (we all know the watches flippers sell are)? Interesting times. Rolex, plays silly games, wins silly prizes. No watch sale for you! 😮 😂
These fakes are close enough to make paying Rolex $12k look foolish. The downside is paying $1500 for a replica. I’d rather spend that on a used Sinn or Longines.
One day, there will be a perfect replica, but it will never be sold as a fake, because at that point they can just sell it to second hand stores. Who knows, maybe they are already floating around in the market place.

I did guess correctly (before the magnification shots) but i wasn't sure, what really made me choose the one on the right was the finishing of the case/bracelet. The real one has an finer/thiner/smoother and better executed brushing and the light reflection is more uniform on all parts. Can't wait for the next one !
God bless cf
i think that's VR3285 from ARF.. LOL!
my bad.. thats from CF.. i saw the L3 code at the end.. LOL!

Dude....awesome vid! The sniff test! Love it!
The dead give away for me was the font on the date
I don't like the Rolex Pepsi, and am sick of hearing all the hype, but this was an EXCELLENT video! Thank you.
Kinda f-ed up the "couple easy" ways to tell you don't tell/show us
5:01 I noticed on the real one, the fonts on the rehaut will glow brighter under the UV light
Sadly there are a couple of areas at least, where the counterfeit is better finished, such as more finished, polished look of the cyclops and the cleaner shape of the rehaut printing.
Where can I get one of the super clones?
Nobody would be able to rell the difference but you would always know.i guess it depends how that makes you feel.
I don't care what anyone else thinks. I'm not here to trick other people. I care about what I think. Knowing I'm wearing a $600 Chinese knock off will mean I'm a fake person pretending to be someone I'm not. I don't do anything fake in life and I don't wear anything fake in life. All the fake mfers out there can keep being fake with their little 600 dollar Chinese knock offs 😂. In the end, they know that they've achieved nothing in life and when they look down at their wrist, it will be a reminder of their failure.
I wouldn't be happy knowing it's fake and it'll feel like less of an achievement and more of a facade. seems like half the ppl in the comments don't care though
@@illiterate-ei8dp I only buy replicas of watches i can afford. I like the design but I prefer to spend my money on more useful things. I would never buy a Richard Mille because it would be stupid but for example I have a replica of an Aqua Terra that although I could buy it I think that 7000€ is too much for what I get and I prefer to invest them or buy something else that is more useful
@@illiterate-ei8dp People who buy fake watches are fake people, caring more about trying to impress others than being true to themselves. It's sad, really.

Great vid! Love your channel👍🏻
These videos basically show you how much Rolex overcharges for their watches. You are paying a massive mark-up for a name, and it takes a literal expert to distinguish a $15,000 Rolex from a $600 Chinese knock-off.
Artificial Diamonds and natural Diamonds. You need a very expensive machine to be able to find out the difference. Real Money and fake money? Original is Original. Try selling a fake Rolex after 3 years if it is still running. Go swimming with the fake😮. Your 600 $ s are gone. Sell a GMT Original Rolex after 3 years.
Personaly I think the prices of Luxury Watches are way to high now a days, but the Market makes the prices.
Fake companies are Criminal. People that buy them are supporters
What it also demonstrates, that $600 Chinese watch costs $250 to manufacture, that $15K Rolex? About $400 to manufacture!
@@thomasstratford6227 Wow, than Rolex must be genius. The Market makes the prices.1 Million watches a year and still waitinglists. Go swimming one time with your fake watch and 600 $ fade away. Try to sell a fake watch after 3 years and than an Original from the AD. Made 5 Grands selling my Datejust after 3 years to buy my GMT for 11 000$s. Grey Market price 20 000$. It was worth the 3 years waiting for me. Enjoyed my datejust that i got after waiting 3 months without having to buy another watch.I will enjoy my GMT till i get my Daytona and if i have to wait 10 years.
Rolex is and will be Number 1 for a reason.
Fake watch companies are Criminals. People thet buy them Support that.
You can always buy a Seiko. They don't charge more than their brand name's worth for their watches.
A bit like buying a woman a diamond ring, she's not gonna love a good fake 😉 If you want to buy a legit Rolex it's good there's ways or people who can confirm that
How have these fakes that go for $800 - $1500 gotten so good that the local AD and his watch repair guy were even fooled by one that was purchased from Shengzhen, China? This also had a fake box and NFC chip card that actually brought up the correct Rolex page.
Damn they're repping the NFC chip too?? Need to get one of these "fakes" honestly.
I choose "b" as the real one due to the cyclops window is centered and the date font is smaller compared to the "a" selection. Thank you!
I’m tired of Rolex AD arrogant attitudes, they ruin everything, I’m not letting these working class Manipulating me anymore. and I’m 100% go for the clon.
Stupid people pay more that’s why Richs are rich, middle class staying poor 😂😂😂
Good video. That said what I took from it, without magnification(extreme as well) there’s no way to tell.
It was "easy" to see that the right one was real (at least from that spot on angle you gave us) by seeing that the left watch cyclops zoom level is a lot more zoomed than the right ones. And knowing that it's very hard to get the 2.5x zoom that official Rolex watches use, I guessed based on that
The rehaut on Gen lmao!
Is CF giving you a commission? This video was the ad that just sold me on what my next rep will be!
I was going to ask the same thing 🤣
0:55 if you look at the crown guards, you’ll see that the guards overlap the crown on the fake. On the right the crown guards are more angular and don’t overlap the crown.
The immediate tell for me was that the date window on the left watch looked wrong. Too much magnification and not quite the correct font.
Anyone else notice that on bothe the real and fake the crown doesn’t line up with the Reneut?!
This was fantastic! Subscribed.
I have a question what is a good loupe magnifier 10x,20x,30, or 40x thank you
So why buy the real one? i have the fake and nobody knows it's fake, and much cheaper to repair if it breaks, i have 15 years old top quality fakes, and they still look and run great.
Where to buy a good one?
Send me the fake. 👍
Lol nice crown 12 on the rehaut lol rolex is perfect I tell you lol
hat down for this professional video. Bravo
Thank you… I love learning odd trivia…
I've compared a few real Rolex's to fake and the dead giveaway starts with the band. The band on the fakes (that I've seen) always feels lighter, less refined and less polished.
My fake Tudor gmt fooled 2 watch repair guys at 2 different locations.
Granted they did not open it and look at the movement though. They did size it for me and play with the clasp and gmt function. After I said it was a replica they were surprised and looked at it again.
Where did u get it tho?
That was excellent - thank you!
Cf make the best gmt atm. Anyway if you have a microscope handy you can identify the difference 😂😂. Thank fuck for that rolex box smell
Amazing video. Keep going!
I got it correct: One of the things was the date in the cyclops of the fake didn't look as pleasing as the real Rolex.
Is that a PG Gundam in the background? Or from Full Metal Panic? 😂
I love these videos, im getting better at telling the difference, i spoked the fake in this by the misalignment of the date with the cyclops.
But i do know that clones especially high end super clones ones have fixed this.
Scary as you haven’t even used the best Pepsi rep out there… I’ve seen “franken” watches which are super clone based with real parts. Should make a video on one of those
The David Beckham of the wrist checks
I'd rather buy a real Timex, than a fake anything.
The blank GMT movements are made by Shanghai watch factory and the clone Daytona movement is made by Peacock
In comparison to you review of the Starbucks, which clone is closest to genuine (Starbucks or the Pepsi)???
you can also tell the bracelet clasp. the fake clasp has a very round edges on the clasp while the real one is very sharp and you can feel it. at 6:14 you can tell by the pics on the real one is very sharp while fake is very dull edges.
Actually, it was pretty easy. The cyclopse lens on the fake one is clearly misaligned, compared to the real one.
Great video! Thanks.
Thanks for the video!!
I guessed the right one, because of the magnifying window. The fake one wasn't straight.
Where can I get one? (Asking for a friend, as always)
Who are you trying to impress with your fake watch?
A good loupe (15x-30x) with both light and blacklight, does the trick. Easily purchased on Amazon/AliExpress for $15.
Pad printing is 100% not a tell. There was a comparison on IWC and Patek where the fakes had MUCH better printing than the real deal.
Great information, one question though. What mobile suit is that?
Looks like a Strike but maybe battle torn
Who makes these? Where? Who is the money mover behind these watches?

scary similiar

Its wild that I actually prefer the fake one 😂
