I couldn't find comment section so your it, I think he should have installed plug wires, I've only done one, but it was way easier than I thought with 30 AWG wire, and tiny drill bits , thank you for letting me comment on your comment, you the man
I recently watched HPI"s build of the newest release. Something neat about it is it has the twin stripes without the rondel or number. They come in both blue and white as well! He built a white one with blue stripes and it really popped! I too had a very tough time with my decals when I built this S/C and left them off. 😢 I love that line about the so many build you envision. When it comes to Cobras, I am building an homage if not an exact replica of the first car Carrol built, and which now resides in his Las Vegas facility last I heard a few years back. A competition small block which you showed and a competition big block car. A tip that someone gave me about the induction set up of your build. The "turkey roaster" pan that surrounds the carb is fairly thin in scale, thinner than the kit piece, and an aluminum color. There is a Randy Leffingwell coffee table book that has been my Bible when it comes to building Shelbys. Not sure if it's still in print.
Thanks. Yes the kit turkey pan is way too thick. On my Cobra Daytona Coupe, I bought some this sheet aluminum to make one since the kit does not have one.
I love the cobra. Definitely need to build one of these. Great looking build of an icon. And I love the matching Mustang. Very cool. Even your old build looks pretty good, especially in the group together.
I try to avoid wet sanding base coat. If I do I usually spray another light coat. I do prefer to put the decals on under the clear coat. I don’t always do this as it really depends on the build.
Yes. Had a few pictures that didn’t display and had to fix it. Was at the end so if the watcher didn’t stay to the end they didn’t see it. But to fix it I had to upload the fixed video and remove the old one. So the view count and comments start over just like a new different video.
Thank you! I can't believe I missed them. I know the factory ones were tinted. I'm now painting them along with the coolant pressure cap. Not to mention I checked my street 427 Cobra also as I built it at the same time. I'm painting those sun visors as well! Thanks again.
@TheMuscleCarModeler You're not the only one who forgets those kind of things. I painted the ones on my blue diecast Cobra tonight too & I need to foil the frame on it also. I had to check my black Cobra but they were ok.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler It seems odd huh? Even the clutch and brake pedals seem an odd fit too, When done cannot be seen. I dulled the chrome and added satin black to the appearance of the rubber pads anyway. We crazy modlers.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler Still working mine, fun small tiny kit. Doing the same concept as the OP. Fun build. I am on the last step, the dashboard detail. I wish youtube would allow pics in comments.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler Seen a 1/16th scale available at auction on the goodwill site the other day. It's not much bigger though. This si @ 1/24th scale is a tiny model actually.
Very nice.
Thank you
I forgot to mention how gorgeous that shot of all four cars was. You are a talented builder!
Thank you!
Beautiful builds.🤓👍
Thanks 👍
That's awesome, lovely colour and details too. Well done 👍🏼
Thank you so much 😀

Great looking build Raoul, so many stories involving Carrol Shelby, quite a character!
Indeed! Lots of stories.

Thank you!
Looks cool.
Thank you!
That's a great looking build have you built the Mpc 1/16 version?
Thanks. No, I haven't built the 1/16 MPC kit. I did have one once but ended up selling it.
Hi. Do you recommend wet sanding prior to the clear coat, and do you apply decals before or after clear coat? Thank you!

Beautiful Cobra & Mustang. Can l point something out?... the visors need painted black. Otherwise they look awesome!!

I noticed in my current build, there is no gas pedal, just brake and clutch? What yours got?
Mine is the same. Kit has no gas petal.

It's still a nice kit but missing a few things. I'm due to build another one. I have plenty of them in my stash and at least one started.

I love the Cobra and the GT parked side by side. Something about that was just bad@$$
Thanks!
