    Thanks for sharing. I would say by far one of the best video about this fabulous journey to Zermatt. I made it solo out of Chamonix August 26, did the same mistake like you on Grat, tried to push further, but alone before sheer dropoffs, it was to risky. So, I tracked back, and at my arrival at the hut, I've hiked non-stop almost 11 hours, +2740, -2160m. Men, you have a pair of balls. Congrats !!

      Thanks very much for the compliments on the video. Congratulations on finishing and especially making it to the Europa hut after tracking back, you have had one hell of a day there. it's a lot of climbing anyway without having to go back. I am assuming you watched the vid after your journey.

    What a cracking film. I looked at most of the WHR videos online before doing this trek and yours is far better than all the others. Thanks for this, it is magnificent.

    How beautiful, how beautiful your video is. I loved it, man, as you say, the old ladies who found it are an inspiration. The section of High that was closed, why didn't they tell you it was closed, as you risked your lives, right there, but thank God you came out of the adventure unscathed.

    This is such a good video. Thanks a heap. Had booked my trek for August/September including Hotel Schwarzhorn instead of Bella Tolla, and had no idea about that accessible summit. Changing that as we speak!

      Thanks and really pleased you enjoyed the video. Have a great time in September and hope you get great weather. Bella Tola and the Rothhorn, both great add ons and would definitely recommend you do them.

      @@MSCoutdoors Yeah you certainly sell them pretty well! I've tied myself in knots a bit booking Cabane de Moiry - Pension De la Post (Zinal) - Hotel Schwarzhorn (Gruben) - Hotel Heimatlodge (St Nicklaus) - Europahutte - Zermatt back to back. So have left myself one day less than you had and need to replace either Zinal or Gruben with Cabane Bella Tola. Which means making either your days 9 and 10 or days 11 and 12 into a single day. Watching back over the video, I'm thinking replacing Zinal might be best and doing days 9 and 10 as one day De Moiry to Bella Tola. Worst case taking the cable car from Sorebois to Zinal if it's a bit tight. What do you think?

    Great video so far. What were the dates of your hike? Sounded like September. I need to plan for mine and I am hoping for good weather. September would be a great time for me. Please let me know your dates. Thank you.

      Thanks very much for your nice comments. We travelled on the 1st September, so spent 1st two weeks in Sept completing the route. Weather was lovely although still hot during the day,, especially in the 1st week. Hope you have a great trek, September I would say was a good choice. Thanks again, Michael

    Michael and Jimmy, great to see all your Haute route video's compiled into one continuous film. As ive said before, watching your journey feels like we are actually on the trail with you. Love the humour and stoicism that you display no mater whats facing you. Cheers lads

    Superb videos lads.Love my hiking videos but they can all become a bit samey.Your commentary really made the video,amusing and informative.Those aul ladies were absolute gems,puts things into perspective,their laughing was contagious,found myself laughing along with yous😂.Im wild camping the whr in july,wish me luck!

      Thanks very much, I've had some great feedback over the course of this series and yours has got to be up there with the best of them. It gives me encouragement for the future to continue with the same style of video. So again thanks very much. I'm a bit jealous of you wild camping the route, we normally camp on our tours but on this occasion decided to have a bit more luxury. Hope you have a great time and get great weather.. Yeah, day 11 with old ladies was my favourite day, such an unexpected treat bumping into them and they made what was a great days trekking even better. Good luck for your trek and if you need any advise please just give me a shout.

      Thanks Michael,i think the majority of people watching these vids are thinking of attempting the whr themselves. Im suprised the amount of hiking vids i watch and some dont even tell you what time of year they are there.Always interesting to get some historical info about the area,culture,wildlife etc...Distance travelled,time on trail,effort exerted,possible shortcuts(cable cars,buses),camping spots,ability to charge devices,sleeping conditions in huts,grocery stores along the route are all topics that could be off interest.Oh and most importantly how much was a pint at the huts🍺and did they make those sandwiches for yous?😁

      Hi British Irish, let me have your name, and I will give you all the help I can for your trip. I created a spreadsheet of our journey with all the important stuff on it, which may help you. I use an elevation gain reference/factor I have created myself and helps me work out how easy our tough the day is likely to be. Essentially it's the height gain/loss divided by the distance. Ends up giving a figure of feet per mile over the day/ trek. Its very handy to know each day. The spreadsheet can be sent to you if you drop me your email on my WhatsApp 07951033737. Or feel free to give me a call.

    I start watching your video. I've been watching for ten minutes. Now I'm going to watch the whole thing, because it looks interesting. Now what I want to know is that yours missed the flight and lost the money, but how you did they make the changes all reservations they had at the hotels, hut and at the resorts?

    • @MSCoutdoors
      @MSCoutdoors  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hope you enjoy it Marlon. Yes it was a great journey and it gets better the further you watch it. Yes, I missed the flight and lost money. We got to chamonix a day late. However, we managed to get to our first hut destination on schedule by catching the Gondola chair lift, so we did not need to change our reserved accommodations. (Explained when we get off the chairlift at col de balme on day 1). I hope you enjoy the film. It was a fabulous journey and a fantastic adventure for Jimmy and I, and the film reflects it perfectly. Great memories!

    Amazing work with this video. What program do you use for your 3D map visualizations?

    • @MSCoutdoors
      @MSCoutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Jill, I use outdooractive and then video it with My Gopro, it's a lot easier as long as you don't produce in full screen otherwise it is poorer quality
